  1. Saw this $69 Black and Decker random orbiter on sale at NTUC hypermart. Brief glance of the specs shows 4400 opm, 3m cable, AC plug type. Is it a good buy, considering other orbiters cost above $100?
  2. Hello, I have been following this Detailing section for a while. Its amazing to view the works of art by some of the forummers here. But most of the time, they are accomplished with the help of an orbiter. The problme with my paint work is that there are dried water spots in certain places, so the paint looked hazy at certain angles. On closer look, they are faint white in color. I tried using Scratch-X but to no avail. I am doing research on Menzerna products, and I have a bottle of HGAS for touch-up. Thought of investing in the whole range of Menzerna from DiyGurus. But then, is it really necessary to use an orbiter to achieve best results? Can I remove the water or oxidised spots with the use of only "Chew Lart" or arm-strength? Scared I use orbiter scratch the paint. Cheers.
  3. 1) Shampoo (NXT) 2) Claybar (Soft99) 3) Rinse 4) Polish (#80, depending on panel's condition, 2-4 passes with cutting/polishing pads) 5) Glaze(#7, polishing pad) 6) 2 coats of wax (#16, finishing pad) 7) Final wipe with detailing spray(#34 with MF towel). Yet to apply dressing on the exterior trims and tyres.
  4. Anyone knows where can I get a DA Orbiter in S'pore? I'm currently using a B&D WP600 orbiter and I find its capabilities limited by a lack of pad choices. Looking for one which can fit a variety of foam pads. I'm not really interested in a rotary as I'm afraid I might damage my paint. Oh yes, how much will it roughly cost? Thanks :)
