  7. Motorists living in estates such as Sengkang, Punggol and Yishun using the Central Expressway in the morning peaks will have a mix of good news and bad news. From May 7, those who choose to exit at Braddell will not pay a cent in electronic road-pricing (ERP) charges (down from 50 cents today). But those who continue towards the city will have to pay $2 between 7.30am and 8am, and $3 between 8am and 8.30am. The new rates are 50 cents and $1 respectively more than today's rates. The $2 and $3 charges apply to motorists entering the CTE south of Braddell too. But those using the Pan-Island Expressway slip road into the CTE will pay $3 instead of $3.50 today. The latest changes were made at the quarterly review of ERP charges. All other ERP rates remain unchanged. Source: http://www.straitstimes.com/The-Big-Story/...ory_794042.html
  8. From Auto Express at the Geneva Motor Show, the new Skoda Concept D with new exterior look, badge and re-imagined interior with a mix of earth materials and other nifty features. With a new car every six months from 2012 to 2015, we will be expecting some new things from Skoda. In other news sites, it also sighted that Skoda will be reviewing new SUV line ups with a bigger "crossover-type" and also a smaller Yeti. The new badge looks like they are inline with some of these new changes in the new models and new products from Skoda's stable. Just nice for me to change/upgrade to a new Skoda next year. :) New Skoda Concept D You're in - Motor Shows: Geneva Motor Show Skoda shows Vision D design concept Five-door Vision D concept reveals future design direction for Skoda and offers glimpse of new family car. By Tom PhillipsFebruary 2011 Skoda is readying a bold new look for the Octavia. After top brass toasted best-ever sales of 750,000-plus cars in 2010, they have signalled an all-new design direction at the Geneva show in a hatch that paves the way for the next family model, and the look of all future Skodas to come. 11. Wow, now we gotta contend with using part of our CPF for paying an annuity so we can start getting monthly payments from 85 onwards. Just checked the stats for life expectancy and realised that on the average females live till 81.8 and males live till 78, the median 79.9 for males and females http://www.singstat.gov.sg/stats/keyind.html#popnarea. That means unless you have higher then average life expectancy you will not live to see any payout, and if you do see those few hundred $ payouts when you hit 85 I guess with inflation and cost of medical expenses in future you will be hard pressed to even get by. Quite dissappointed that our highly paid gov wants to implement something like this.
