  4. Flew again out of SG to EU for work again. Boarded SQ378 on the 22nd May schedule departure was 2345 hours... but there were some technical problems with the plane, so departure delayed. Then signal given all ok, and push back commenced,... while taxi-ing away, Captain made an announcement that the plane have to be turned back to gate. Ok no probs, but then another announcement came, for safety reasons, all passengers got to disembark and they will change plane. Damned, new departure will be 0400 hours, a delay of 4 hours. What to do, shi ts happens.... Here are some pictures from the flight; In my previous posting, some asked to see pictures of the seat turned into a bed... here goes... For couples flying together, you will have the couple seats... Then there are those that wanted some SQ gals... here they are... Of course nice wing pictures... Watch out for more soon, when I have time....
  5. Don't worry darling, it's only a refueling plane Thu Mar 27, 2008 11:28am EDT LONDON (Reuters) - It may be the biggest honeymoon secret ever -- from 2011, newlyweds can start their dream trip on a Royal Air Force mid-air refueling plane, and the chances are they will be blissfully unaware of their luck. Britain's military is leasing a fleet of aerial tankers from a private consortium led by Airbus parent EADS in a landmark outsourcing deal to be unveiled on Thursday. The converted A330 passenger jets can carry 60 tonnes of fuel to refuel up to four fighters far away from base or else serve as transporters carrying 300 troops and their equipment. Officials involved in the project say some of the jets will also double as charter planes for tourists to earn their keep whenever they are not needed to serve the front line. Because new jetliners are more efficient than the decades-old VC-10s and Tristars they replace, there will be enough space for fuel for refueling in the aircraft's main tanks as well as a fully fitted cabin interior for passengers. With a plain livery, most passengers should be unaware their ordinary looking charter jet may have seen action over Afghanistan or Iraq on -- hopefully -- separate missions. The long-range, wide-body A330-200 model on which the tankers are based has a maximum range of 12,500 km or 6750 nautical miles, according to Toulouse-based Airbus. With one of its ordinary airline users, it flies daily from France to holiday and honeymoon destinations in the Caribbean. (Reporting by Tim Hepher, editing by Paul Casciato)

  8. Story goes like this. I realised that one side of the H4 headlights and H1 on the other aint working thus i brought it to my trusty workshop to get it changed. Was told that the wiring for the headlights went loose and my mechanic was not able to repair it. but he said can go to someone to repair the front light wiring problem, but i tot heck it. since one light side still working and all others (including tail lights functioning) shouldnt have any probs. just then yesterday night, when i tried turning on the headlights, it came on, but my speedometer lights did not. Shocked.. i quickly went over to the back, no rear tailights on when the front headlights were on. luckily after testing, the brake lights did light up when i stepped on it. Lan lan no choice but to drive home all the way on the left lane with hazard lights on(as its perhaps the only lights i can flash other than the L/R signals and brake lights) but other than that i did not dare go out at night liao. called up mechanic, he say check if the electrical fuse was blown in the main circuit board, but all ok leh.. I was wondering if anyone had such similar problems? and if you have any lobang to recommend in SG or Johor. Thanks.
