Hi all. My car is coming to 5yrs old and the AC is getting noisy when it kicks in, I can also feel the vibration. AC is still blowing cold air and I change the filter every year. Was recommended to change/add aircon oil. AC system uses oil? Will the oil help? The workshop wants to charge $87 renewing aircon oil.

Noticed that my ride had this issue. When travelling on uneven road, can here tok tok sound. Thot it was the suspension, thus purposely when over hump but no tok tok sound heard. Turning using full turn also no sound. When only uneven road got tok tok sound? Ask my mech he say is the bush and thing like that deteriorated and cos my car left 9 months dun need to repair, can save the money. anyone with this issue?

Have a damn colleague that is sitting behind me, she is damn noisy daily talking to her supplier, most of the time talking cok which is not productive at all, and she like to talk about some rubbish that is irrelevant, worst is she like to scold them very badly and the half way thru she will joke and laugh with them, WTF man! Can't she be short and sweet, we all know when we scold someone or lecture someone, we do not mix it with jokes and laughter, else how to get the message across? Everyday the same s--t happen over and over!!! Anyone know where to get swimming ear plugs, I want those transparent ones that's like plasticine?

Time is ~9pm and I keep the TV running in the background while surfing MCF. I found that besides lousy scripts, the actors also behave in a nitwit manner and are very noisy You can hear Chen Liping screaming and shouting each time she gets to speak. Besides the current 9pm show, she also screams during the weekend afternoon show "your hand in mine", or that hold your hand drama. Wonder who is the script writer and can they come out with something better? Another crazy screamer is Chen Lizhen. Do you folks feel the same?

Dear bros and lao jiaos, have having a problem that is driving me nuts. Basically, i am experiencing this knocking sound when i start my engine whe it is cold especially in the morning. I have went back to the mechanic and they have tightened the belt and lubricated the pulleys but problem persist and i think it is getting worst in terms of duration of the noise. It does goes away when the engine warms up but it comes back again once engine cools done. I have attached a short video clip which i have taken as it is hard for me to describe the sound. Hi guys, my ride (Kia Forte) 3 yrs old on stock tyre (17" rim), still got enough trend. Recent few months i feel the road noise getting louder especially at low speed at about 40 kph, the sound is like a regular repeating "Hong, hong hong" type of noise from the tyres, when high speed it seems better don't have such repeating noise, any bro know this is due to the tyre uneven wearing or any other problem like bearings? Just did tyre rotation 3 month ago in last servicing

Hi Forumers, Recently I notice that my car engine quite noisy and under power when accelation from idle. But sometime its ok. (day by day basic) Anyone experience this? I am using caltex gold and mobil 1 0w40 syn oil and still under warrenty. Pls advice before I go to the AD.

Hi all, I bought a used car that came with a Simota carbon fibre (enclosed) air-intake system. I find it somewhat noisy and to get the original air box will be expensive. Just wondering if this Simota is notorious for noise or what? What suggestion would you recommend to replace this Simota? Would so called "mushroom" type air-intake system reduce or alleviate the noise problem? Please advise me and Thank you very much. Regards,

if one has a licensed dog with AVA and is a HDB permitted breed but the dog is a baker and a nuisance to the neighbor. does AVA or HDB got the right to remove the dog? just curious. if they still can remove the dog, than y buy a HDB permitted breed at the first place? might as well risk and buy a non HDB approved one...

My clutch pedal will give off a 'squeaky' sound whenever I press it. The sound is more obvious especially if I half clutch and clutch in again, i.e whenever I am stuck in a jam. Since mine is a hydraulic clutch, I checked the fluid level and there is no leak or whatsoever. Besides this problem, the clutch still feels the same and gear engagement is still okie. ANyone had this problem before?

Hi, I am seeking advise on noisy engine. I drives a end 2004 sunny and recently notice uncomfortable noise from the engine when starting from cold. Some people in this forum says change from fully syn to semi-syn, change air filter & check parts for defects. Any advise from people who has encounter such problem? How does it sound like, you may ask. It sounds like a taxi starting up.... Thanks in advance

My neighbourhood is suffering from pesky driver(s) with noisy exhausts. At least once or twice a week, I'll be having a when around or after midnight, some pest will go BBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRZZZZZZZMMMM down the street outside. Sometimes the pest will do a repeat performance at 5-6am. If I am willing to do a stake out and photo / film the pest(s) in action, which department should I file a report to?

writing on fren's behalf, his lancer 06 model has a noisy engine wen start, bought it 2nd hand n waranty over liao, wen 2 AD, C&C, did diagnostic check n dey say its ok cant find fault. unless he agree 2 spend more 2 remove engine n do more checks, say hv 2 keep car at their place 4 few days, n if its serious problem, can cost up2 10k 2 repair..... his car is OPC 1.5A wif mileage 50k onli.. any1 here know of any workshop in s'pore tat can do thorough engine check n wun cost a bomb, n do it fast without having to keep at their place for few days, called stamford but dey say onli can do diagnostic computer check onli... pls help thks all bros n sis

Car just passed 3yrs and expected, the problems are stacking up. I hear a unusually noisy engine while idle, turn off A/C still the same. Could it be fan/engine mounting loose etc? Existing pre-09 Superb owners can comment if your engine sounds like this at idle? Maybe i can do a recording of the engine noise and post here.

You can almost tell whether a car is heavily TCed just by closing in, passing by it or when it is in stationery position at junction or traffic lights. Do you think the loud noise produced is annoying and a form of pollution to the roads? Some also commented that stock Japanese TCed cars produced the most noise compared with their Conti competitors. In the pursuit of power, do you also give in to loud noise and forget about comfort. I'm of the view that a fast street car need not be a noisy car. Regards,

There is a very noisy motorbike around my block, I believe with modified exhaust. The driver is very considerate, he will rev the engine on purpose when moving off or returning, so loud that he can wake up the whole block. Sometime ard 2am !!! Any idea how to get LTA to check his motorbike ?

Have u been encountering more and more car alarms setting off nowadays? My neighbourhood seems to have more and more. The alarms are usually incessant and continues till the car batt dies.....which means it can last more than a day. Why dun car owners check out the alarms to see if it is theirs or somone tat they noe? Best part is, the related driver comes and check, finds out there's nothin he can do to stop it, and walk off, leaving the alarm sounding......Can disconnect batt wat. Is it me or many others also find it painful to hear non stop alarms? Sigh, its still on.............

Like most Japanese and Korean car, my KIA is not that great in sound insulation so the sound from the road to my tyre travels a long way into my car cabin. I am looking for a set of tyre that is good in low noise level but should also perform reasonably in dry and wet weather. I was at the Stamford warehouse sale and they recommend the followings : 1) FALKEN DIGNEO 614 ($125 buy 3 get 1 free 205/65/R15) 2) CONTINENTAL ContiEcoContact CP ($185 buy 4 get 1 free - 205/65/R15) Does anyone know if there are other similar rated tyre ? (like Toyo, Bridgestone, etc. ... or even Kumho) I am only looking for 15" steel whell with 4x114.3 PCD to replace my 14" steel one ... or even cheap 2nd hand 15" sport rim (4x114.3PCD) is fine ... any recommendation ?

Ohhhhh my new set of rim and tyres is too noisy ... sound like driving a truck or helicopter leh ... my previous stock tyres is from yokohama is way better in term of noise level.. I think i cannot accept and tahan the noise till 40k km... mmm selling soon... who is interested???
