  2. TL;DR – A Honda Vezel, Mazda 5 and Nissan Note get involved in an accident with multiple public properties damaged A video of an accident uploaded on Instagram caught my attention today. In it, we find a white Honda Vezel, a brown Mazda 5 and a white Nissan Note involved in an accident. Here’s the video 22-second video for your viewing pleasure. Here’s more footage of the accident (at a different angle) Disclaimer The white Vezel might or might not be involved in this accident, or the driver might be a good Samaritan who parked at the side to help the occupants of the front two cars. Damage to public property I count a signboard, a lamppost, a tree and a section of the railings. It looks like it’s going to be an expensive affair for whoever was at fault. That’s weird The biggest question after watching the video – “How did the Note end up on the railings?” Online chatter I legit think this is funny Spread my wings and fly away --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 6. The rear view camera of the Nissan Note is vital for proper functioning of safety features such as Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Moving Object Detection. It is akin to a human eye that keeps a lookout for danger. Dust or dirt gets into our eye some time and impairs its function. Similarly, the rear view camera can get dirty. Hence, the engineers at Nissan have incorporated a self-cleaning feature into the camera. "We couldn't allow the camera's lens to get dirty at any time because it would detract from the technology's performance in everyday use with the customer. However, we didn't want the task of cleaning the lens to fall at the hands of the driver, so the intelligent self-cleaning system was developed," explained Richard Picton, Nissan's Safety Shield engineer. The self-cleaning system is smart enough to differentiate between mud and rain water. It uses a blast of air to clear away light dust while a slash of muddy water from a puddle will require a squirt of water followed by an air blast. Below is a video presentation explaining the camera's self-cleaning function. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlFEQHSzgn4
  7. Tan Chong Motor will be bringing in the Note mini MPV to join Nissan's current lineup in Singapore. In its second generation, the Note was unveiled on 16 July 2012 and is the production version of the Invitation concept that was presented at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Measuring 4100mm (L) x 1,695mm (B) x 1,525mm (H), the car is larger than the Nissan March but slightly smaller than the Freed, a parallel-imported mini MPV from Honda. Perhaps, the interesting part about the note lies underneath the bonnet. It is powered by Nissan's new supercharged 1.2-litre DR12DDR engine. The forced-fed lump features technologies such as direct injection and Continuous Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS). Power is transmitted to the front wheel via a CVT transmission. Fuel economy is rated at 25.2km/L based on the JC08 cycle, a Japanese fuel consumption test. If you are looking for a mini MPV or hatchback, do take note of the latest offering from Nissan.
