  1. Hi everyone! I just installed my headlights a few hours ago and it already started misting up! The garage told me "misting up is normal, but if water gets in we'll replace it." Is this the way it's supposed to be?
  2. HOW DO YOU SUGGEST GOING ABOUT SOLVING THIS COMPLICATE PROBLEM? ANYONE WITH PERSONAL EXPERIENCE TO SHARE? Stuck in a sticky situation. Im from HK and moved over here with my partner of 9 years from Aus. We moved so I could be closer to my family. Early last year we got married in Aus, of which majority of our friends from HK flew over to witness. During Oct, I got suspicious of my husband as I could tell things weren't right and he admitted he was texting/seeing someone on the side as I was too busy for him and he felt 'neglected'. Drama queen. Anyway, I have quite a successful job, and he is often left on own during some evenings, while I am out working. I said I was going to leave him and he threatened to take his own life, as I was the only one who really cares for him (he doesn't have any close friends in HK and is not so close with his family in Aus). So I forgave him and promised him that I wouldn't spend so much time on my work. A patchy xmas went by, and we went away during CNY on a sort of 'patch things out' holiday. It went really well, we spoke about how we felt and that we were newly married and having children. He really wants children at the moment and has booked in with the Family Association for us to visit next week. Then last night, I just so happen to go on his email, and BAM - there it is - email messages to and from this girl he was seeing in Oct. Things such as, i love you, i may be with my wife but my heart is with you, and this girl emailing him back asking him to spend more time with her and telling him she wants to be his 'Mrs'. Emails and pictures galore. The whole thing. Even emails from when we were on our patch-up holiday "had to quickly sneak away to tel you I miss and love you!!" What the hell right? Just the other day he was saying he really wants kids now and wants me to stop contraception and blah blah blah.. and then this? Why would he still want kids? So husband comes home, after I discovred all this when he was at the gym. I calm my nerves and act out all normal as if i didn't know anything. Now the question is - how the hell do I tell him? I want to leave him. I want separation/divorce. This is not the first time he has 'wandered' off in our relationship, as it happened many years ago and he promised he changed. We share a house together, he has no friends and no family here. I am scared if I leave him, he will do something silly to himself, like he always said he will. Emotional blackmail i know, but it is working. Also, how do I break the news to my family and friends, who all flew over to our wedding? They all love him and think he is great. Together we meet up with my family at least twice a week without fail. If I start showing up on my own, they will get suspicious. sorry for the long message....... i don't even know where to start. haven't even told my closest friends as I am greatly embarrassed this has happened. I have a lot of pride which has now been shattered. he kissed me goodbye before he left for work and he has booked dinner and movies tonight.... how and when shall i break the news?!?!
  3. Poor guy did not even know his shoulder epaulettes were pinned upside down... Just curious why his course mates or anyone passing by who had served did not point it out to him. From STOMP: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...pside_down.html Posted on 04 Feb 2012 Oops! Newly-commissioned SAF officer wears his shoulder ranks upside down STOMPer Xin sent in a photo of a newly-commissioned SAF officer -- only thing is, his shoulder ranks were upside down. Said the STOMPer: "I took this photo from facebook, there are lots of comments by netizens on it. "It shows a newly-commissioned SAF officer wearing his ranks upside down on his shoulders. "He and his family looks like they are from China." Although some netizens on facebook felt this was disrespectful to Singapore and that the officer should have checked, others felt it was an honest mistake and should be forgiven; with his squad mates held responsible for not alerting him: "I feel sorry for the guy. Whatever it is, local born or not, he's earned his rank. If his mum pinned the epaulettes on inverted by mistake, well it's an honest mistake. Whatever it is, she looks proud of her son so I say let them have their deserved moment without ridiculing them. "All those who trolled here probably are not officers and are just quick to comment... The rank epaulette is affixed by family members and in most cases the officer stands at attention and looks forward and does not look down at his shoulder.. Lets face it, how many people look down at their own shoulders??? "If we should blame someone it should be his squad mates around him for not realising and telling him!!!"
  4. A flash flood has occurred at Ang Mo Kio Central where a newly-opened NTUC FairPrice outlet seemed to be the hardest-hit. According a STOMPer, the water levels of the floods were 10cm high. In a response sent in by the supermarket chain, patrons were escorted out of the outlet before staff members cleaned up the affected areas. A spokesperson for FairPrice wrote: "At 3pm today, water had seeped into our store located at Blk 712, Ang Mo Kio Ave 6. "Our staff reacted immediately by escorting customers out to ensure their safety. "We were able to clean up the affected areas within the hour and resumed business only after ascertaining that all products have not been affected and are safe for our customers. "We are working closely with the building management and town council to ascertain the cause of the water seepage and to ensure this does not occur again." STOMPer john koo wrote:

  11. Was at Sepang last weekened for JGTC and to watch Formula Renault V6, and Formula BMW... I must say this newly formed racing team, a joint venture between Singapore and Malaysia, is doing REALLY well, unlike the political failure of the A1 Singapore team... Drivers include former A1GP Hafiz Koh who is a Singaporean and another Indian National, who is high on the rankings list and came in first, TWICE, at Sepang. Lets egg them on! Hopefully this continues to grow..hehe http://www.xxxxxxx.com/news/news.php?view=1&newsid=561 http://www.xxxxxxx.com/news/news.php?view=1&newsid=560
  12. Just read abt this newly launch series of automative lamp. This claim to be 80% brighter than conventional halogen and most probably legal to use in Singapore due to the DOT approval status. Any bro know whether Philips Singapore bringing in this product? I would tink this will be a nice upgrade over the illegal DIY HID alternatives alot of ppl is practising. http://www.autolamps-online.com/halogen/xtremecentre.htm DC
  13. Hi guys, I'm looking at some SIRs on sgcarmart, and they look deliciously tempting. However the prices seem rather ridiculous, since the parf value of these cars is around 16-19k max. I don't know about the body value, but the prices seem way way high eg http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-2XaxEnDW-1052.html Anyone knows whats a fair price to pay for a car like that? Thanks!
