with the influx of china ppl working in foodcourts i have finally given up on foodcourts. i am not going to waste time describing the 3 disgusting incidents which just took place at my foodcourt in a matter of minutes. im army trained... never whined abt sand in my canned food and i am not the type who is fussy abt food. i'm the type who will pick up the meat and eat it even if it falls on the table. my mom is forever travelling and is not always in spore to cook for us. anyway the important thing is im gonna start cooking myself. any tips for me? any easy recipes for beginners like me? i've seen youtube videos and recipe books..... but what i need are simple recipes where the ingredients are easily found in our markets.... preferably meat and vege recipes thnx a million!

i've only been around this forum for a few months but wow, the amount of people with superiority complex here is unbelievable. normal platers who look down on red platers. people who look down on the minority calling them names like may yoyos and dodol-eaters, making fun of their level of intelligence. manual drivers vs auto drivers. experienced drivers who look down on p-platers and lady drivers. i thought the people on this forum are more adult judging by the target group, but boy was i wrong. even the mods don't seem to give a crap seeing that they allowed some posts and threads to stay even though they are blatantly offensive. look guys, being behind a computer screen doesn't give you any less reason to behave as you would in the real world. do check yourselves before you click on the "POST" radio button. whatever. i'm disappointed. i won't be missed and frankly, i don't care. do what you want if it makes you happy. i'm happy giving myself a red card from this forum.

This evening, on my homeward journey, traffic along CTE (SLE) was rather heavy but still moving. As I was approaching the exit to PIE (Changi Airport), a long line of vehicles had already formed. Thus, I had no choice but to cut in. I decelerated and signalled my intention to join the queue. I saw a gap between two vehicles, slightly more than a car's length. Assuming that the car behind would allow me to do so, because if I were in his situation, I would definitely give way, I proceeded to join the queue in front of this Honda Civic. Guess what. This driver accelerated, swerved onto the road shoulder and overtook me. Given the tight space between lane 4 and the road shoulder, his vehicle was too close for my comfort while he was trying to overtake my puny Picanto. Out of frustration, and partly because I was pissed that he gave me a fright by his stunt, I blared my horn and displayed my middle finger (yes, I know, I shouldn't have done it). He retaliated by tapping his brake, which caused me to slam my brake in turn. Luckily, the car behind me, driven by a middle-age lady, I think, was quite a distance from my rear. I shuddered to think if she had not. Looking back at the incident, I was disappointed at myself for being so puerile. I am way past the age of a hot-blooded young man (hint: I no longer have to go for reservist) and yet I displayed such uncouth behaviour. With nearly ten years of driving experience (because, I obtained my licence late), I have already encountered several kinds of fxxk-up drivers. By comparison, this Honda joker is considered mild. Also, my reaction (blaring the horn and flipping the bird) was totally uncalled for; they would only antagonise the other party. With more introspection, I guess I should thank this Honda driver for showing me something that I found out about myself today. One, I really have to work on my temper. All along, I have this mistaken notion that I had done a good job keeping it in check. Guess, there's more to be done. Two, I should really kick this bad habit of hitting the horn whenever I'm frustrated. Three, as for my middle finger, I should keep it wrapped around the steering wheel when I'm driving. Hmm.... I'm feeling much better, now that I have verbally unloaded my feelings. For those who took the time to read, thank you. That's all, folks. Have a nice weekend!

As the financial crisis hits, and the stock markets crashed, feeling quite unmotivated everytime car gets dirty. 1) Unwilling to spend 1-2 hrs of time just to wash and detail car 2) Unwilling to spend $6-$8 to wash car at car washer, when HDB washing bay only 20cts or max 60cts for 3 pails of water. 3) Worse, unwilling to spend the time to wash car even though HDB washing bay only 20 - 60 cts or so. So wait for rain to come and then wipe dry. Poor car ... i guess i don't really care anymore ...

Hi, Today, for some stupid reason... this thing happened. It was 10pm plus plus along Thomson road. I was in the middle lane and wanted to change to the right lane. I did my checks. Didn't see any vehicle on the right lane. So, I did my right signal and proceeded to move into the right lane. "BEEP BEEP BEEP" sounded loud from my right. I just discovered that a bike was in the right lane. Pai sey, so moved back to the middle lane. After all, my fault. Didn't see him. If you are that bike, I was that black car. Sorry to cross into lane. I didn't see u at all. If you are really upset, this is my formal apology to you. But, don't keep turning your head back to stare lah. You riding bike with your gf. Keep your eyes in front. If kena (touch wood) kerb or anything in front, I won't feel good too. I didn't mean to intrude your lane. But, I also hope that you don't get so upset until you take your eyes off the road. You also made your unhappiness clear by revving your engine. So, again, I say sorry to you. Didn't mean to be an idiot to cross into your lane. People make mistakes. Its an honest mistake.

Guys, When I use my wiper, there are always a lot of streaks, giving me a very distorted vision of what is ahead. I can't even see the car number of the car right in front of me.... The wiper judders a little, but the problem are the streaks.... If raining at night, I can't even see the line divider. Everything is just blur. There was once I nearly banged onto the central divider... so please tell me what to do before I kill myself or others.....
