  2. Hi I am currently driving a 2008 Nissan Murano 2.5L. The car comes with reverse camera and a touch screen. However, whenever I activate the camera by reversing the car, the grid lines (or guidelines) doesn't appear. Does anyone know how to "activate" it? or infact it doesn't come with the grid lines to begin with? Thank you.
  3. Hello everyone, I'm currently driving a Nov '05 Optra and wishes to upgrade to a SUV. I have done my sums and have shortlisted these 4 '07/08 models: 2007 Mazda CX-7 2.3 Turbo with Sunroof 2008 Nissan Murano 2.5 with Sunroof 2007 Toyota RAV4 2.4 with Sunroof 2007 Honda CRV 2.4 with Sunroof Please give me your honest feedback as to which model I should pick. As I am looking at about 7 year old rides, I am more concerned about their reliability. Fuel economy is less of a concern for me as my fuel bills are paid for by the company that I am working for. My brain tells me to go with RAV4 or CRV, but my heart prefers Murano and the CX7 for their added amenities. Thank you in advance for your kind advice! (:

  8. considering this monster.....Beside the fuel guzzler thingy, how you see this car? It had been in the market for some year (since 2005) and these comment from your guys should be after the so-called ''new toilet' effect. Anyone own it or still love to own one?
  9. Nissan's latest stunner By Samuel Ee - 09 November 2005 The Business Times WHO wants to buy a luxury SUV these days? Quite a lot of people, it seems. The recently launched Nissan Murano sport-utility vehicle has been scrabbling up the sales charts. Authorised distributor Tan Chong Motor Sales is coy about the numbers, but does admit that it is targetting the Lexus RX300's territory - about 50 units a month. Tan Chong also says it believes the Murano will continue to gain momentum even after last month's barrage of launch orders. Part of the optimism is due to the car's striking looks, and part of it has to do with the fact that there are two engine variants - a 2.5-litre inline four-cylinder and a 3.5-litre V6. With its avant garde exterior styling, the Murano is uncharacteristically good-looking for a volume Nissan model. Its interior is especially futuristic, with a quirky instrument pod that has a genuine aluminium fascia. And on the enormous expanse of dashboard is a seven-inch display with GPS (global positioning system) navigation. Also different is the availability of a power button on the multi-function steering wheel to turn the audio system on or off - something not found in many cars with volume and channel controls. Because the Murano is softly sprung, the ride is cushy. But this comes with a slight body roll when going around corners. Power is perfect, especially in the 3.5-litre model with its all-wheel-drive capabilities. This is the same engine found in the 350Z sports coupe and for all intents and purposes it would be the ideal option for this large SUV. But understandably, Tan Chong says it only accounts for only one in five Muranos sold. The smaller 2.5-litre four-cylinder, front-wheel-driven model is the more popular version. As Nissan's flagship SUV, the Murano looks the part with its distinctive design and spacious cabin - plus a good-size boot. Like the Lexus RX300, its crossover design has mass appeal. Of the two, the 3.5-litre model is the more sophisticated alternative with its smooth and sporty six-step continuously variable transmission. And with petrol prices looking like they're finally falling, there's now one more reason to consider it. Nissan Murano 250XL and 350XV Engine: 2,488cc inline-4 (FWD)/3,498 V6 (4WD) Gearbox: 4-speed auto/6-step CVT Max power: 163hp @ 5,200rpm/234hp @ 6,000rpm Max torque: 245Nm @ 3,600rpm/318Nm @ 3,600rpm 0-100 kmh: 11.9 secs/8.9 secs Top speed: 180 kmh/200 kmh Price: $111,500/$126,500 (both with COE) Distributor: Tan Chong Motor Sales, Tel: 6466-7711

  14. Spy photographers captured the first images of the next-generation Nissan Murano earlier this year, and now official pictures of the production model have been leaked ahead of the SUV's Los Angeles Auto Show debut. While the crossover is scheduled to bow at next week's Los Angeles Auto Show, Nissan has done a good job keeping the Murano under wraps during its development. Technical data remains a mystery, but it is believed that the new Murano will hit showrooms in early 2008 as a 2009 model
  15. All Just wanna find out is there any facelift on the Nissan Murano 2.5 now? XL and L ...wHAT'S the diff?
  16. My friend's Murano 3.5L needs new tyres. Original tyres are 18" with 65 profile. This seems to be a very high profile tyre for 18" and replacement tyres are hard to find. Any recommendations from bros here?
  17. Hi All gurus expertise bros, Bro in Law is looking for a SUV, need expert advise on these 3 SUV models. Personnally I have a biased heart towards Mazda CX-7, love the shape and spirit of a sports car and having the utility of a SUV. But I think to have a fairer comparison, its wise to seek expert advise here as I think the other 2 models have its charm too.
  18. Hi Bros, Between this 2 SUV, which 1 would you choose? Existing owner pls give your comments, all other comments are welcome . CHEERS!
  19. Hello All, Need advise on these 2 SUVs. I am thinking of getting a SUV but I cannot make up my mind about the 2. I have check both prices Harrier is $128800 & Murano $126000. The headache is that I kinda of like the feature and interior of the Murano but I have heard quite a few things about Nissan on low re-sale value, low OMV etc. And that Harrier being around for a while so the parts are easier to get and cheaper. The seller of the Harrier has a more established workshop as compared to the Murano. I am aware that Tan Chong will be bringing in this model but in Aug. I can;t wait as my car is giving way; a few more months will 10 years. Scrapping so not wanting to spend money on it. I hope some kind soul here can give me some advise on my problem above. Thank you in advance. Keldar
  20. Anyone tried or bought this SUV? any idea how much it costs? i know its only available as PI now, don't think Tan Chong has any plans to bring in this model yet....it looks very cool!
