Are engine and transmission mounts the same for left- and right-hand drive? May want to change mine. -
heard 10 died in 9 days, seem like climbing the Mount Everest is not difficult after all. At least seven other climbers have died on other 8,000-metre Himalayan peaks this season, while two are missing.

What is the lifespan of an engine mount? Replace them 4 years ago and now starting to give me knocking sound again! base on my last experience, once it started knocking, within 6 mth, it will be very bad and need replacement. but car left 2 years, so how to "tong" till scrap? any temp measures?

Hi bros, can feel my car vibrating when at idle in the morning before moving off. This is even after the "engine temp cold" light goes off. After driving around for 5-10min and when at traffic light the car do not vibrate anymore, totally still, almost can't feel engine on. Is there some other fluids thats not warmed up yet tat cause the pre-move-off-at-idle vibration? Or is it time to change engine mount anyhow? Its a 1.6M Hyundai Getz.

How do you all actually mount your GPS in your car? I wonder how this work, as I don't think any mounting device is that strong. I tried many but most cannot make it and not able to hold the device's weight. This actually block the front view. During the night, the display will be reflected onto the front windows at night. This resulted in poor vision. This device is not reliable and will drop off when you made a sharp turn. Cabling also an issue. This will cause "condensation" on your device and also block the air flow from the AC. Your solar film will left with mark with this mounting method. Yet to try this magnetic device. But don't think it can hold the weight.

Anyone can recommend me a wkshp to replace the mountings? I already got the mountings. Just need them to get replaced. How much usually for labour? I have enquired at Hanip and he said $680 for items and installations. Think my face look like carrot. I just smiled n walk away. Forgot to mention, car is Toyota Wish. Thnx.

I'm looking for a car mount for New Ipad, mainly to keep the kids in the rear occupied during long trips. There are windscreen mounts, headrest mounts and floor mounts. Not sure which is more secure. Anyone with experience or recommendation on which is better for my needs?

my suction failed me and so decided this time round to get a friction mount. non slip pad-free as i almost wanted to throw away purse w/coins, lots of it. - should not constitute to cost as its still mine glue - free, dont use also dry up. here you go... yes.......i am cheapo

Did it snow at Mount Kinabalu just before dawn on Jan 17, when temperatures dipped to -3 deg C? A report submitted to Sabah Parks by their head ranger Martin Mogurin indicated that there were signs of snow at the summit area of the 4,101m-high mountain along the Crocker Range around 4am. Mr Martin said guides at the mountain submitted a report but were unable to back it up with pictures as it was dark. Sabah Parks officials are trying to verify the report. Sabah Parks chairman Tengku Zainal Adlin, who has climbed every face of Mount Kinabalu in the last five decades, is not surprised over the snow report. Mr Zainal said ice on the mountain was common, especially in the early hours of the morning. The Ops Cantas Khas Trafik crackdown has already begun with the police rounding up habitual traffic offenders first. The operation commenced in Ipoh and saw traffic policemen going “door to door” to bring in motorists with more than two warrants of arrests and more than 15 unsettled summonses. The first operation was conducted between 3pm and 6pm on Thursday. Nationwide operations, which will see the police stopping motorists at roadblocks, will commence next week. “We are targeting the habitual offenders first,” Acting Federal Traffic chief Senior Asst Comm Mohd Fuad Abd Latiff told The Star yesterday. He advised the public not to be alarmed as the habitual offenders would still be given a chance to settle the summonses despite being picked up. “The objective of the operation is to get the offenders to pay up,” he stressed. SAC Mohd Fuad said the police had prepared the warrants of arrest for 251,000 traffic offenders. “We are going ahead with roadblocks mounted nationwide to arrest errant vehicle users from next week. “After being arrested at a roadblock, the motorist will be brought to the police station and if he or she refuses to pay the summons, the person will be released on police bail with one surety,” he said, adding that the police would then apply for a new court date for the individual to either challenge the case or plead for a lower fine. He said all preparations ahead of starting the roadblocks had been completed. “We want to ensure that all state police contingents will be ready to carry out the operations successfully,” he said. Asked about public complaints over difficulties in checking summonses on the official police online portal, SAC Mohd Fuad said there were many alternatives to do so, including through www.myeg.com.my, www.rilek.com.my, post offices and at Maybank ATMs. “The public can check at selected shopping malls or go straight to any traffic police counter. They can even check at the Road Transport Department branches,” he said. It was previously reported that the number of traffic offenders had been growing each year and along with that the number of motorists who were ignoring their summonses. In 2008, traffic police went after 96,000 vehicle users with unsettled summonses under Ops Warta VII but as of now, the figure had shot up to more than 1.7 million. Unable to go after all of them at once, police are targeting over 251,000 errant motorists, heavy vehicle drivers and motorcyclists in the first stage of Ops Cantas Khas Trafik. My roof mount monitor died but head unit working. Please recommend a basic roof mount monitor (9 inch & up) plus workshop to install. It's better if I can buy and install in the same shop. Basic and cheap as it is only for my kid viewing. Thank you.

Long queue entering expressway from slip road. Then this yaya papaya BMW tried to skip the queue and cut in front middle lane into the left lane. People (including myself) die die don't leave any gap for him. The idiot tried his best to squeeze but he ran out of road and almost hit the kerb. Then LL stuck then and wait till someone behind me pity him and leave a gap..... Shiok.... watch such idiots get pwned.... think got money means he own the road?

Currently my GPS is mounted at about eye level near the A pillar to my right. I find it easy to take a quick glance at it without moving my eyes too much / too long from the road in front. My right hand finger can reach the touch screen quite easily but it leaves only my left hand holding the steering wheel (may not be too safe in case there's an emergency). This position also blocks the views of cars coming from the right hand side road on some ocassions. Any bro knows a safer yet convenient position for the GPS screen? Btw, how you guys hide the cable for the plug-in power socket (usually connecting the GPS to the cigarate lighter socket on the dashboard or near the gear console)?? Many thanks
