2011 Italian F1: Vettel wins again but Schumacher shows us how its done
Rigval posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
The 2011 Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix was another one of those action packed races this season where Sebastian Vettel won. Yes, that chap may still be knocking the socks off the other contestants but it isn't a dull one horse race at all. He may be impervious at this moment but I don't really care because after the recent mid-season break we're actually seeing some movement from the other teams. Ferrari and McLaren seem to have gotten their form back as Jenson Button came in second for McLaren and Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari Vettel drove impeccably and even did a brilliant overtaking move against Alonso early on in the race. But what really got me extremely enthralled with the Italian Grand Prix was Michael Schumacher's ultra defensive (or aggressive-

The Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix that was held last Sunday was won by Ferrari's Fernando Alonso. Considered as Ferrari's home race, the win is a poignant one for the team in what was quite an event filled race this time around. Of course, by event filled, this basically means the mad dash to the first corner at the start and the pit lane tire change strategies. The start and first lap tussles claimed Lewis Hamilton who couldn't continue after his steering column gave way due to a come together with Felipe Massa. The planned tire changes which caused various strategies to be mapped out and this time, team HRT to be fined a good US$20,000 for injuring one of their mechanics who was adjusting HRT driver Sakon Yamamoto's radio during the Japanese driver's pitstop when the lollipop man released him off. The mechanic had to be driven to the nearest hospital to get his injuries looked at. What the outcome of this race was that Mark Webber is now once again Championship leader, overtaking Lewis Hamilton, who crashed out on the first lap, in the points. This outcome came regardless of the fact that Webber himself finished in sixth position. He was pretty frustrated as he started fourth, lost some track positions due to a bad start, then had a tussel with the Williams driver Nico Hulkenberg who refused to yield even though he was driving much slower than Webber (hey, its racing for position and finished seventh behind Webber

this weekend, the race is on again. in Italy. FRI Practice 1 16:00 FRI Practice 2 20:00 SAT Practice 17:00 SAT Qualifying 20:00 SUN Race 20:00 with only 5 races to goin the race calendar, Monza has to be the one track that Button starts to get onto the podium or even win again. a lot of people is questioning if it is the pressure at the top that is getting to him. personally, i dun think so, or at least i hope it's not. because if i am him (but of cos i'm not! ) i will enjoy every second of it driving in a competitive car fighting for the top honours pressure is what guys without a certain drive for 2010 are feeling or those got who "kicked out". Monza is a 5.793 kilometre track tat is the fastest of the year with four long straights enabling the cars to reach top speeds of around 340km/h and average lap speeds of 250km/h. and drivers had to be on their toes for a blindingly fast 53 laps. cars here run with special low-downforce aerodynamic packages to minimise drag. And this year there is an added complication for those teams without it: KERS. it's been said that KERS cars will gain about 15m , about 0.25s off non KERS cars that is a massive advantage, if they got the rest of the package spot on. this race will see Liuzzi do his 1st race in the Force India, also we will spot Fisi in the Ferrari. it will be extremely interesting if we will see a FI chasing a Ferrari like we witnessed 2 weeks ago. Practise 1 & 2 had concluded http://www.formula1.com/results/season/2009/818/6671/ http://www.formula1.com/results/season/2009/818/6672/ nothing can be read into these practise times normally the real thing starts tomorrow during Qualifying...

Desperation, arrogance, "teen loon", dis-regard for others or just plain stupidity What do you guys think? [The McLaren driver got involved in some close encounters during Sunday's Italian Grand Prix, including with his old foe and former teammate, Fernando Alonso. "There was some unnecessary movements he made," the Spaniard told reporters in his native tongue at Monza, "and he repeated them with Glock and Webber. It is his way of racing."] http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news...915141257.shtml

The tune of the italian antheme followed by the german one reminds me so much of the Shumi days! Totally dissapointed with Ferrari and Kimi, might as well parked the car at home! and here's why i can't stand Hami. http://www.planet-f1.com/story/0,18954,3213_4144191,00.html
