Hi MCFers, I am here to announce another piece of good news to all of you. On top of having the Threads of the Month Contest, we will be introducing the ‘Most Worthy Thread of the Month’ Contest. We’re seeing some really good and quality threads/posts by some of the members here but unfortunately, they’ve come short of winning ‘TOTM’ due to popularity votes. So this is where this contest comes in. Think of it as a wildcard. Let’s cut to the chase. What’s deemed worthy? Must it be car related? Anything under the sun. We’re not kidding. If you’re a wanderlust, it could be your own travel thread complete with pictures, advice, tips on how to travel better, cheaper, and smarter so everyone can explore the world on a budget too. This is an election for new moderators to join the moderating team. Because moderators have added responsibilities and are vested with more power, we would like all stakeholders of MCF to have their voices heard in the selection. The selection process starts with the current moderators drawing up a shortlist of nominees. An online “election” open to all MCF members will then be held to choose the final 2 candidates that will join the moderating team. We have chosen some nominees and PM them for acceptance to step up to the role should they get elected. Here are the shortlisted nominees that have accepted their nomination. Except me my colleagues almost gave up to surf MCF liao, because always same topics repeated and repeated MCF some threads already received tons of replies even up to few thousands how many peoples realy got time to read through all the posts? let's say if the particular thread received 500 replies, lock the thread, if someone still want to say something on this topic,create new thread

Hi fellow MCFers, As MCF gets more popular among the car enthusiats, the current moderator team has been taking a similarly increasing heavy burden on theirs shoulder. I am now happy to announce our new member in the moderator team to continue the fine work and put some sanity back into their lives. Please welcome Osiris who is joining us today. Osiris is not new to many of us as he have joined MCF since 20 October 2004. With him joining the team, am sure he will help to bring MCF to a greater height. Cheers.

People, it is now like close to 4 years ago when I started the SOG over the Delphi forum before migrating over to MCF. Over the years, I have meet a lot of member and also seen members who are no longer active at MCF. To everyone, my sincere thanks to all of you for the participation of the forum and help it in one way or another to get the forum off the ground. And also I am to be blamed for unable to bring newer heights. As it is official that my Octy is already gone and me have gotten a non-Skoda car. I think it is also time for me to hand over the baton to someone who bring SOG to next level and beyond. Thus I seek your help to nominate someone to take over the moderator roles and maybe someone else to be the chairperson of the SOG, or whatever you people wish. Do not get me wrong, I am not jumping ship and abandon SOG, but to maintain the identity of SOG, it is best someone who own a Skoda be heading it, else the lack of identity. Enough talk from me liao - let's the party begin and let's hear from you guys what you want and who you want to head SOG. Cheers!!!!
