Those who frequent, looking to buy, rent, live or stay in private apartments or condos, what do you expect? What is "24 Hour Security". Got number to call in case of emergency and help endeavours to arrive within 15 mins considered? Having as many CCTVs as units yet no known policy, procedures and management known? When requests made, response is only for alleged criminal acts? Is the phrase too loosely defined that agents may wantonly use to attract viewing? In this time and age, in Singapore, with managing agent and cleaning staff on site, are security guards needed? >

Interesting to note that "committing mischief", in this case, secretly sabotaging a vehicle, will also attract a jail term. Strong evidence in this case... captured on video camera. But still very interesting that it was actively pursued until the offender was sentenced. I thought most cases of "mischief", even fights, will only be classified as a civil case or dispute, and advised to "settle on your own". http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1235814/1/.html Former security guard jailed for committing mischief By Claire Huang | Posted: 07 November 2012 1701 hrs SINGAPORE: A former security guard who wanted to teach his ex-colleague a lesson after an argument, was sentenced to eight weeks' jail, disqualified from driving for three years and fined S$1,000 on Wednesday. Ayathan Kuninankandy Sunil Kumar, 40, had admitted to committing mischief by cutting the brake hose of Mr Gabriel Baldwin's motorcycle on April 9 this year at about 4.36am. The cameras at Nassim Park Residence, where 35-year-old Mr Baldwin worked, captured Ayathan's act. Mr Baldwin discovered the tampered brakes after his shift ended and made a police report. Besides this, Ayathan also admitted to one count of speeding on July 17 this year close to 8.30am, along Lornie Road. Court documents stated he had ridden a motorcycle when he was disqualified from driving for a year. He was disqualified from driving from January 18, 2012 to January 1, 2013. To avoid detection by authorities, Ayathan would submit his elder brother's particulars whenever he received summons for speeding. For committing mischief, he could have been jailed up to a year and fined. The maximum penalty for driving without a licence is a three-year jail term and a fine of S$10,000. For furnishing misleading information to the authorities, he could have been jailed up to six months and fined up to S$1,000. - CNA/fa

Still remember it?? Mine was this: I was in p3, my bro p5.... we both loved satay. One day, we decided to take a bus to eat our favourite satay. Everything went well.... the satay was good... we were happy and licking our lips after finished must be something like 30 sticks together..... then, we were shocked to find out we forgot to bring enough money!! The stall owner said: what??.... no money to pay!!!??? ...... we offered to wash dishes for him, but he said NO!! Bo bian, i had to stay behind (as hostage?) and my bro walked back all the way home to get money (no more money to even take a bus home)..... the longest wait in my life........ my first taste/ lesson on "there's no free lunch...."
