Get some advice from bros here. My relative recently suffering from short term memory loss. But not severe. Eg. Go for an event yesterday. Today if you ask him, will say that he never go. But if you describe to him the event and ask him whether did he go, he will then remember that he went. He is the one who realise that he has this problem. And wants to go see doctor voluntarily. This kind of situation should see what doctor? Age is about 55.

So I been having intermittent issues with my dash cam over the last year, it finally seemed that the problem was the memory card. Now looking further into it, the issue at hand is that most memory cards aren't suitable for the 24/7 continous writing in surveillance/CCTV mode enabled dash cams. A typical 32GB card will hold maybe 2, maybe 4 to 5, hours worth of content which means that it is probably eating through its entire capacity's worth perhaps 2 or 3 times a day. Most common memory cards are built on a cheaper variety of memory chips called TLC NAND, which have relatively short write endurance of around 3,000~5,000 cycles, which apparently translates to about 150~300 total overwrites. Examples include be SanDisk Ultra cards... Then there's MLC and SLC NAND, which without going into working detail, get more endurance. Doing some simple math, 150 total overwrites, assuming the card does it twice a day, a cheap memory card could eat through its entire rated write endurance in less than a year! My older dashcam-used memory cards, even with formatting, cuck up the camera every few seconds now. Anyway, I notice now there are High Endurance for video surveillance memory cards by SanDisk, Lexar and Transcend, advertised to handle at least 2 years of continuous recording. I'm trying out the SanDisk card, will be interesting to see if it's still problem free after warranty is over. Anyone else tried those, or other brands of cards? I'd also like to get some more data from other users about how long their memory cards are lasting in cams.

Since young till now, my earliest memory had always been somewhere when I was 3 to 4 years old. My family used to live in a kampong when I was very young, rearing chicken, ducks, and pigs, and we lived in a wooden house with zinc roof. Back then, the worse thing I could remember was pythons that could swallow livestocks and bigger animals, and I still remember hearing commotion in the middle of the nights when pythons were spotted in the coops feasting on our livelihood, and fearing when would be my turn. I remembered one afternoon when I woke up from napping to finding nobody in the house, when normally my mum would be. It was hysterical moments as I cried and cried fearing the worst, even when my mum showed up moments later as she was tending to something in neighbour's house nearby. The memory and fear was so vivid that I could remember till this day, and I was around 3 to 4 years old then. But all along since young I have been having a weird and unique recollection of certain event. The setting was again in some sort of kampong village. And I remember myself naked, and minding my business, not sure what it was though. All around me, the people were reacting normally, not taken aback by my condition. But I would feel so shameful that I would cringe at the thought. I do not know why, but this memory would keep flashing in the dreams and some idle thoughts, not knowing why it happened that I would be naked and nobody reacting to it. I had even saw an online article recently about an old man who like to roam his kampong naked on a bicycle, and keep thinking am I that kuku bird haha. Then only recently it occurred to me that it must be my brain trying to remember some distant memory when I was very young and trying to make sense of them. Well that naked person is real, and me when I was really young I believe. No wonder nobody gave a hoot because it is normal for a baby to be naked those days. And I was really glad that this mystery had finally been solved. Really happy to be frank, as it sort of proves my sanity haha. Ok I hope I had not bored anyone with this little sharing about myself (Not young anymore, by the way). Do feel free to share what you remember as the earliest event you could still remember. If you have nothing to contribute but just had a laugh reading it, I am also happy with it, as this is really a weird topic to start with. My apologies also if you think you have wasted few minutes of your time reading through the words. Cheers.

My current car is having manual seat adjustment. Due to size difference between me and my wife I have to make major adjustments just to be able to get into the car. My wife sits very close to the steering but I need to sit all the way back because of my height. So far I tested cars with electric seat adjustment, they seem quite slow to adjust and have so many adjustment points. Looks like memory function will be very useful. Unfortunately most of the models need to top up to a higher spec or larger engine to get the memory function. Is it worth it? Maybe I should aim for cars with manual adjustment instead?

...some time back, MM said to the general public 'if you want to run for election, go find good ppl, form a team and run against us, we will welcome it....' or something to tht effect I believe, MM never thought the day would come that candidates would really come back, and highly qualified too to form a team, and that is what we are seeing now. If MM mentioned that no worthy candidates want to fill in the opp, then he has thus eaten his words now....comments?

Anyone knows which brand/model of portable DVD player(with screen) that has the memory that allows you to continue watching the disc from where you stop previously. I know most HU with LCD screen allows one to continue from where one left after switching off the car engine, and then continue from that point the next time the car is restart. My friend wants to buy a portable DVD player for her kids, to watch in the back seat of the car. She does not want to add screens to the headrest and link the signal to her HU. (Maybe thats her last resort if no such portable players are available) She is looking for a portable unit that has the 'Continue from the last stop' function. Her current portable DVD player always start from the beginning, and her kids keep rewatching the beginning of the same movie again and again! No chance to finished the movie as her journey each time is just 20-30mins! Anyone knows of any particular model that is available in Singapore market with memory function? Thanks.

Hey just soliciting some views/advice. TIA for yr contributions. I'm using SE K800i and DL songs to use as my companion on the public transport. Problems is memory is full. So, now choices left to me is either upgrade storage or get a mp just for it. If yr advie is to upgrade storage, plse recommend which one to get and price if possible. If yr advice is to get mp3, plse recommend one that can store alot, display title name etc. Branding is not a requirement but must be hardy.

Yesterday, I programmed the driver seat position and the side mirrors using the remote control key memory as written in the car manual, and both settings works fine whenever the car is unlocked via the remote control key. But we encountered one problem though- when the gear is shift from "D-drive" to "R-reverse", the side mirror does not reposition itself to point downward like it used to. What have I forgotten to do? I've programmed the side mirrors for "D-drive" gear, do I need to do the same for "R-reverse" gear too?
