More apt to start a new one on this scammer thingy. Old man hurls himself onto stationary car at Ang Mo Kio StompThursday, Apr 09, 2015 unclefakeaccident_main.jpg 1980 8 0 3 0 Print A driver slowed his car down when he noticed an elderly man standing in the middle of the road, but was shocked when the latter flung himself onto the car bonnet. The driver, who sent footage of the incident to citizen journalism website Stomp, said the incident happened yesterday, Apr 8, at about 4.55pm along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6. In footage caught by his car's dashboard camera, he slowed down as the elderly man raised his hands and seemed to want to cross the road. He recounted: "A man tried to slow my car down by raising his hands as he pretended to cross the road illegally. Source: Stomp View more "As I slowed down to let him pass, he suddenly jumped onto my front bonnet as if he was knocked down!" The incident has raised alarms as to whether it could have been a fake accident scam, which are rife in China. In such cases, the perpetrator would pretend to be injured by claiming that they were knocked down by a car, and then proceed to try claiming money from insurance. The driver quickly drove away as he did not want to hold up traffic. However, he noted that the man looked like he was about to try the same stunt on another vehicle. - See more at: http://news.asiaone.com/news/singapore/old-man-hurls-himself-stationary-car-ang-mo-kio#sthash.mQYPr19l.dpuf https://www.facebook.com/straitstimes.stomp/photos/a.228017343896382.64081.144053245626126/969570346407741/?type=1&theater Video here..sibei drama http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/this-urban-jungle/chinas-fake-accident-scam-in-spore-watch-how-old-man-hurls-himself-onto-stationary#xtor=CS1-2

Global news Investigation unveils scale of match-fixing February 4, 2013 By ESPN staff An investigation has uncovered allegations of match-fixing in around 380 games across Europe. AP Europol said the joint investigation had also identified about 425 corrupt officials, players and serious criminals in 15 countries. The 380 matches included fixtures from World Cup and European Championship qualifying games, Champions League ties and top-flight league matches in several European countries. Speaking in The Hague on Monday, Europol director Rob Wainwright said the investigation uncovered "match-fixing activity on a scale we have not seen before". "This is the work of a suspected organised crime syndicate based in Asia and operated with criminal networks around Europe," he said. "It is clear to us this is the biggest-ever investigation into suspected match-fixing in Europe. "It has yielded major results which we think have uncovered a big problem for the integrity of football in Europe. We have uncovered an extensive criminal network." Wainwright said the investigation had uncovered

To fans going for the coming MY vs SG match....take caution, the other side could get rowdy..... Just got this from my FB page.. http://www.facebook.com/demimalaysia kinda like a nationalistic pro-islamic anti-semitic group from Malaysia....not sure how influential are they....just take note and take caution... It's very sad that a football match, some about sports and sportmanship has be fabricated and politicized into mob mentality and hate for someone/group's political agenda.

I went out with a bunch of old pals today. One of them revealed something extremely bizarre. This friend of mine is divorced for almost 10 yrs, he is practically a good dad because for the past 10 yrs his been taking care of the kids (school allowances, daily expenses, meals, weekly outings - every week for the past 10 yrs). Recently he accompanied his daughter for a full body checkup (required by school) and at the same time itchy backside went to take a DNA sampling test together with the full body checkup. Results came out 1 week later that the match is negative!! So meaning this chap is actually a cuckold feeding for someone else's child?? He sounded very sad when he revealed all these but still cant bear to leave "his" daughter since they been together for almost 16yrs! Life can be pretty simple and confusing at times. What would you do if something like this happens to you?? Would you leave them or continue?? One thing for sure is i will stop paying alimony!

New heroes of the Philippines Over 5,000 Filipinos pack Jalan Besar to cheer on football team It may have been an 'away'friendly for the Philippines, but their fans turned out in force (above) to give the match a home feel for the visiting side. The small contingent of Singapore fans had to sing extra loud to make their voices heard. -- ST PHOTOS: DESMOND WEE By Lee Min Kok ONE would hardly have known that the Lions were the home team last night, given the overwhelming support that their opponents received from the Jalan Besar stands. Singapore's international friendly against the Philippines - the Lions' final tune-up before facing Jordan in a 2014 World Cup qualifier next Tuesday - was watched by a near-6,000 horde of Filipino fans. Save for a loyal band of around 150 Singaporean supporters, a blue tide engulfed the stadium as the Filipinos displayed unrivalled passion in cheering on their countrymen despite the 0-2 defeat. BACKGROUND STORY 'A lot of women are watching football now, just to ogle at the pretty faces on display.' Rosie Villaflor, an IT manager from the Philippines, on why her country's football team are currently the rage back home Even the drizzle throughout the game failed to dampen the spirits of the crowd, who came armed with umbrellas and more importantly, their cameras. The Azkals - as the Philippine national team are popularly called - have benefited from an influx of players holding dual citizenship, such as half-English brothers Phil and James Younghusband, Neil Etheridge and Dutchman Jason de Jong. And there was no mistaking who was the ladies' undisputed darling, as high-pitched screams of 'Neil, Neil, Neil' greeted the reserve goalkeeper for English Premier League football club Fulham as he stepped on to the pitch for his pre-match warm-up. 'He's so handsome!' gushed Mia Fe Carig, 24. The nurse was at Jalan Besar with 15 other female friends, all straining to catch a glimpse of the 21-year-old. IT manager Rosie Villaflor, 30, admitted as much: 'A lot of women are watching football now, just to ogle at the pretty faces on display.' Etheridge is said to have attained near-superstar status in his adopted country, with his face - and chiselled body - gracing everything from underwear ads to billboards promoting painkillers. Indeed, swooning female fans made up a large portion of the Filipino crowd, but there was a healthy pinch of guy power as well. Sales manager Jaron Genota flew in from Manila together with 20 fellow supporters yesterday, spending about 15,000 pesos (S$443) on the trip. Said the 28-year-old: 'Football in our country is enjoying a real buzz at the moment. It's not in the same league as basketball yet, but we're slowly getting there.' Interest in the sport, according to Genota, had picked up significantly after the Azkals created history by reaching the semi-finals of last December's AFF Suzuki Cup - which is the equivalent of the South-east Asian championship - in Vietnam. Filipino television networks, most of whom had largely ignored football, suddenly began to telecast live games from the German Bundesliga, English Premier League and Spanish Primera Liga this year, he said. And the fledgling United Football League - the country's professional competition - recently signed a historic TV deal with local agency AKTV Network, which will air the league's third season later this year. Midfielder James Younghusband paid tribute to the partisan support after the match, saying: 'It definitely felt like a home game for us. The fans here were fantastic.' ==== Everyone too busy/disinterested to support own national team? Why? And what's with the surname of "younghusband"?

What are the options? 1. Cancel current coverage, renew 1 year with same/new insurer? 2. Only can extend insurance with current insurer? Overlooked this...should have gotten a 9 months insurance first right? Thanks

Their year-old romance, till this day, has remained quite a discussion topic ever since their love story ignited a media storm over a year ago. Love them or hate them, Glenn Ong and Jean Danker are 'soul' connected that Glenn is "ready to propose anytime already". Do we hear wedding bells ringing for the couple? "Well he has to ask!" the affable Jean replied with a gleeful chuckle before she took to a slightly more serious tone: "If we want to, we should really think about it seriously and not do it because everybody wants us to." Cooingly, Jean added: "It's a feeling, it's been right so far and I can say that very certainly. I haven't been this sure about anyone ever." Snuggling up to each other on the couch with the ever doting Glenn gushing over his ladylove and Jean getting all teary-eyed at some point talking about her beau, one can't help but feel the genuine love and respect they have for each other. So, perhaps wedding bells in the later part of 2010 then? "Hmm, we'll see," Jean replied in a near whisper before she burst into laughter. "Yes we'll see but I definitely want to be with this woman. I can't get enough of this girl!" Cosying up to Jean, Glenn added: "There's a good feeling and very positive vibe." To which, Jean turned to look at her beau and said: "Ditto."

For those watched the match, comments please? To me, some points noted: 1. Singapore football suck totally especially in 2nd half - defenders dun know how to defend, strikers dun know how to shoot... blah blah blah 2. Why have trophy? Super damn pointless... i can see that the Liverpool players like no interest and just going through motion... 3. Jersey exchange... seems like Liverpool players not that keen... some just trying to give face only and put up a show
