  1. Another one bites the dust ……. Anyone here subscribes ( still)?? Or is it only in UK https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/trends/uks-readers-digest-shuts-down-after-86-years-company-just-couldnt-withstand-12725279.html/amp https://www.news18.com/amp/lifestyle/readers-digest-uk-discontinues-after-86-years-details-inside-8895112.html
  2. First, Rolls Royce says you can customise your Rolls on your Iphone. Then comes Toyo tires with an Iphone app about tires. And not to mention the various Ihpone/Ipod touch apps with car adverts as games such as Volkswagen and Audi. Even Red Bull racing has come up with a free app for you to 'race' their F1 car. Apple is totally taking over the motoring world with their apps and the concept of it all. And I love it! Now Volkswagen have become the first to publish a magazine specifically for Apple's new Ipad. Newly named, 'DAS', it stands for Digital Automotive Space and its a new addition to Volkswagen's revamped marketing strategy. No doubt will that help advertise more for Apple, (not like they need any more advertising) but it opens up new avenues for car manufacturers to reach out to consumers. Moreover, I believe Apple and the Volkswagen group have similar branding strategies; simplistic, stylish and sleek. And that blends in perfectly when it comes to apps for the Ipad. You can view the new Volkswagen Touraeg in a full 360 degrees view and go through all the specifications, its only a matter of time before car brochures enter the Apps store.. I've personally gone through stuff on the Ipad and everything looks amazing, so why not add in magazines like these as Apps? With all the games and other mish mash in Apple's App store, car manufacturers like VW have created one that shouts 'Info-tainment' and I think that will do nothing but boost their sales even more. Brilliant move by VW..
