  1. hi all , anyone can advise where to get lowering springs for 2017 Toyota wish. tks
  2. seen my friend proton with front lowering spring and rear stock spring setup and he told me that it is much more comfortable than lowering spring alone.... he is using stock absorber with aftermarket spring.... he did it not long ago so there is not much feedback on the negative side to such setup. I'm very tempted to do the same... with my lowering spring, I'm always worry during reverse parking, crossing the hump and when I carry passenger at the rear... but I have a few concenrn as below: from what i believe, the front suspension is more stressed compare to normal lowering spring setup cos more weight is transfer to the front, thus, I have to expect higher wear n tear on my absorber. This problem is not too bad cos i have another 3 set of stock front absorber to standby for such problem and the labour cost of changing the absorber from my Mal lobang is too cheap to be true (RM30) so i dun really care about it.... look wise, some plp might think that it looks weird but I like the way it looks cos it make the ride more fierce... now come to my major worry... the braking issue and stability/handling... on stock, the front brake is responsible/absorbing of 70% of the braking stress, will such setup create even more stress to my front brake? will it affect the performance on my overall braking? I'll be adding 1 set of spring stiffener to reduce such problem... but, will it help? As for stability /handling issue, anyone foresee any problem in this area? will the handling/stability of the ride become worst than stock?

  5. Hi all, I would like to know what lowering springs will be suitable for the chasis of SX4 and where to get them. Checked Tein and Bilstein but no avail. It seems pretty hard to find. Hopefully,it's a hard spring too. Stock distance from tyre to wheel arch is a horrific 5 fingers space. Thanks!
  6. http://www.straitstimes.com/GeneralElectio...ory_657477.html LOWERING land cost as a way to reduce new Housing Board flat prices is tantamount to raiding Singapore's reserves, warned National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan on Saturday. This is because all land is sold at prices set by the Chief Valuer, and the land sale proceeds go into the reserves. In the latest salvo on the hot-button housing issue, Mr Mah stressed that as the number of new HDB flats is not a small, any lowering of prices will inevitably affect the value of existing HDB flats. Mr Mah was responding to a call from Workers' Party chief Low Thia Khiang who had suggested that if the Government was prepared to collect less money for land sales, the savings could be passed on to first-time home buyers. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a ground-breaking ceremony for an upgrading programme for Tampines, which will see a new town hub with facilities such as a sports hall and a new park, Mr Mah said: 'When he says that I'm going to finance this by lowering the value of land, basically what he's doing is taking money from the reserves. 'It is not a matter of left pocket to right pocket, it's a matter of taking, dipping into the reserves.' Mr Mah declined a debate with the National Solitary Party, which has announced it is contesting the GRC. He said there is 'nothing to debate' as his positions on housing and various policies are well known. With the minister at the community event on Saturday morning were newly-introduced People's Action Party (PAP) candidates Heng Swee Keat and Steve Tan.

  15. Hi guys, would like to find out more, about spring rates. Till now, still kinda confused. Not sure if this is correct folder to post. Understand there is a thread here: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Aftermarke...rs%29_P1416292/ but does not have the definition on spring rates. Whats the spring rate kg/mm means? The higher spring rate, the stiffer it is? If wana get lowered, with maximum comfort like stock, which is better? Example: RSR Ti2000: F3.5 R7.8 Espelier: F:3.8 R8.0 Thank you all..
  16. Hi ya, does anyone knows where can I find any lowering springs with stiffer spring rates for an Octy A5(Combi)? Find the stock ones a little too soft. Does Autovox have it, cos I know they are having their annual sale next Fri onwards.
  17. Anyone can advise if I need to change shocks if I decide to slam my car? Mucho Gracias
  18. of course, if cost is no object, coilovers... but what if the coilover goes kaput? then must replace that side.. isn't it cheaper to just install lowering springs and aftermarket shocks? i'm not gonna want to vary my ride height or stiffness. going more for lowering and stiffening to improve my cornering, but don't want to spend a bomb. my ride's a getz. what do u guys n gals recommend? for springs and shocks tt is.. have read up a bit on coilovers liao
  19. The time has come....heheh, thinking of lowering my ride by two fingers current four fingers gap, also want to change suspension at Servo, any advise from the bros here, like Lamy, Fisheye, Beanoyip? What's the estimated damage going to be? My budget is $800 do you think I can get anything good at that price? Also going to add anti-roll bars, will Lightspeed's Neuspeed anti roll bar work on a Superb?
  20. Hi Bro, Anyone know where i can get secondhand or new lowering springs for my legacy AnD legacy secondhaND PRODUCTS... SITE.. Tks....
  21. super long nv come here liao. hw u bros doin. haha... thinkin of changin springs lately, but no much idea wats really the big difference between lowering springs & shock absorbers and coilovers. becos my front rite spring has been producing some sound whenever passenger sits in it initially n when i try to push the front rite tyre down thru my bonnet, can also hear the sound. something like eeehh ... eee... eee as i push it down n up. dun think can lower my ride further cos of my bk though the wheel arch between fender n wheel is wide. lower spring or coilover is better for our old swift? how much will tat be. cos dun wan to spend another bomb on it. thks
