  1. I tried to search for the word "Fishing" but did not get any. As I had sold my fishing boat in SG many years back and been living in China where I lost all the Khakis. I did leave about 18 fishing rods and reels in Singapore. Recent transfer to Thailand leaves me with tonnes of work but I realized I am able to travel around by driving and there is lots of fishing areas over here. So time to re-live my love for fishing and find out who in here are anglers and also share Singapore fishing scene or even overseas
  2. Hi All, Was at the mall yesterday and I saw something close to an Iphone. I took a closer look at it and actually realize there is this brand "Nothing Phone" I looks very much the same and it has more designs put into it and it actually so much cheaper. Come today, I check it out. Actually it is founded by co-founder of One Plus and it really looks good. If there is already a thread on this. Mod, please help to merge. But if not, I just want to know more about this new thingy and will it replace the Apple Iphones or even take up a big market shares from here?
  3. https://mothership.sg/2022/02/ng-eng-hen-covid-19/ Is he the first one in the group? These people say it will be just like flu. Hopefully it will be true, should have more of them coming. Haha I just call him the hero for the fun of it

  9. Just curious, just how many bros in MCF on auto-transmission will take the effort to shift their gear to N when coming to a halt at traffic light? I used to drive a manual car, hence it's kinda of a habit for me to put to N when waiting for traffic light to turn green. Any difference whether to shift to N or not?

  11. http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSTRE56G0EX20090717 JAKARTA (Reuters) - Four people were killed in two separate explosions on Friday at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and the Marriott Hotel in central Jakarta, Indonesia's Metro TV reported. Police have confirmed the blasts, but not yet said if they were caused by bombs. There have not been any major bomb blasts in Indonesia for several years, and this month the country's presidential election passed off peacefully. "There were explosions heard from two separate places, one the JW Marriott, the other in the Ritz Carlton. We are still trying to check because right now we are still helping the victims," said South Jakarta Police Chief Firman Santyabudi. Witnesses at the scene told Metro TV that the injured, including Indonesians and foreigners, were seen being taken away in ambulances. "Some windows of the Ritz-Carlton building have been shattered, mostly on the lower section. I'm looking at it from my office," said Myra Junor, who works at a nearby building. The Marriott Hotel was badly damaged by a car bomb attack in 2003 that killed 12 people. That coincided with a period when Islamists militants carried out numerous attacks, including bombings in Bali in 2002 that killed 202 people. Many militants have since been arrested. 12. Lately there have been a group of zealous people who go around listurbing other TS, giving bo liao comments and doing alot of ass out of u and me that it will become what they want to achieve, and in the end make it happen without the TS. Their stand is that the mod team in MCF has given their old friends the assurance that this is 'Lite & EZ', and they will not touch it. I have seen enough, and so have most of the people here. Could the mod team clarify whether they have indeed condone their boliao behaviour? Is it alrite to go to every posting that you are buay song and go and correct their grammar, spacing, do off-topic insiuation, etc, etc? Please make it clear so that we can have some peace here and do constructive posting. I do not want more people to repeat the sillyness, join in the fray, and ruin this forum in the process! The forum rules as below certainly do not address that: Dear all, Please be reminded of our forum guidelines. In particular, we would like to draw your attention to: Postings Slanderous, defamatory, obscene, violent, abusive, threatening and harassing comments will not be allowed. Respect the viewpoints of others, even if you may not agree with them. Agree to disagree. No profanity or obscenities of any kind. No personal attacks on other users. No political or racial comments will be allowed. No impersonation of other participants or public figures. No FULL CAPS postings. In internet, CAPS equates to shouting. Refrain from posting information which is not publicly available. No posting of number plates, unless it is your own. Respect others' privacy. No copyrighted material is allowed. Please use links instead. Please declare vested interest (if any) on the topic you are discussing No multiple postings Thank you and happy posting in MCF. Kindly make your stand clear. I do not want to flout the rules here, but the rules must be above all else, and not haphazardly applied.

  14. Lim Ah Beng was asked to make a sentence using 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10. Not only did he do it to 10, he did it again from 10 back to 1. This is what he came up with...... "1 day I go 2 climb up a 3 outside a house to peep. But couple saw me, so I panic and 4 down. The man rushed out and wanted to 5 with me. I run until I fall 6 and throw out. So I go into 7 eleven and grab some 8 to throw at him. Then I took a 9 and try to stab him. 10 God he ran away. So, I put the 9 back and pay for the 8 and left 7 eleven. Next day, I call my boss to tell him everything and also say I am 6. He said 5, tomorrow also no need to come back 4 works. He also asked me to climb a 3 and jump down. I don't understand, I so nice 2 him but I don't know what he 1".
  15. Joke on 3 Jews In China 3 friends name Oscar, Weil and Benjamin are Jews. It was their first visit to China and they were sitting in a Chinese restaurant in Shanghai. Oscar," asked Benjie, "Are there any Jews in China?" I don't know," Oscar replied. "Why don't we ask the waiter?" When the waiter came by, Benjie asked him, "Are there any Chinese Jews here in Shanghai?" "I don't know sir, let me ask," the waiter replied. So he went into the kitchen to ask then he returned in a few minutes and said, "No, sir. No Chinese Jews." "Are you sure?" Benjie asked. "I will check again, sir" the waiter replied And went back into the kitchen again. While he was still gone, Oscar said, "I cannot believe there are no Jews in China, our people are scattered everywhere." When the waiter returned he said, "Sir, no Chinese Jews." "Are you really sure?" Benjie asked again. "I cannot believe there are no Chinese Jews." "Sir, I asked everyone," the waiter replied exasperated. Sir to tell you the truth, we have: Orange Jews, Apple Jews, Tomato Jews Watermelon Jews and Carrot Jews, but no one ever hear of Chinese Jews! If you want, we have Chinese Tea.
  16. School hols are here again. My daughter is clamouring for a NDSL. Any idea which shop is the best place to get one now. I search through GameAxis and Nintendo user sites. Not much help. I read DSi is coming, but seems that it's not worth the extra $$ just for the crappy camera and shorter batt life. Tks for the help.
  17. another one i gt in my email... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Maybe that explain why I m so busy but when asked with what? dunno busy with nothing A.A.A.D.D. KNOW THE SYMPTOMS.....PLEASE READ! Thank goodness there's a name for this disorder. Somehow I feel better even though I have it!! Recently, I was diagnosed with A.A.A.D.D. - Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how it manifests: I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing. As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full. So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the garbage first. But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first. I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only one check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where I find the can of Pepsi I'd been drinking. I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Pepsi aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over. The Pepsi is getting warm, and I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold. As I head toward the kitchen with the Pepsi, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need water. I put the Pepsi on the counter and discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers. I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table. I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers. I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do. At the end of the day: the car isn't washed the bills aren't paid there is a warm can of Pepsi sitting on the counter the flowers don't have enough water, there is still only 1 check in my check book, I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, and I don't remember what I did with the car keys. Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day, and I'm really tired. I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.... Do me a favor. Forward this message to everyone you know, Because I don't seem to be able to remember who I have sent this to. Don't laugh if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!!
