Hi MCFers and frequent travellers, Want to ask if the duty-free liquor and beer at Changi Airport is really the cheapest and best-est as often claimed by DFS itself (of course) and many Singaporeans who only buy from there when they return from overseas? I have always been under that impression and thus NEVER EVER look at duty-free shops at overseas airports but quai quai (dutifully) wait till I have landed at Changi to duly file into DFS Changi to buy my quota. Don't travel frequently so blur in this area. Any frequent MCF-travellers can shed insights? Or have I been snooked by DFS for the longest time ever?

Yahoo news: Stricter liquor rules in Geylang, Little India from 1 April Additional restrictions for consumption of liquor in public places will be imposed in two Liquor Control Zones (LCZ) in Geylang and Little India on weekends and public holidays, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said in a press statement on Tuesday. Within the LCZs, public drinking will be banned from 7am Saturday to 7am Monday from 1 April, when the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act comes into effect. On public holidays, there should be no consumption from 7pm of the eve of a public holiday to 7am of the day after the holiday. Shops in the LCZs are also not allowed to sell retail alcohol from 7pm on weekends, eve of public holidays, and public holidays. The new law already bans drinking in all public places and the retail sale of alcohol from 10:30pm to 7am daily. 'Even-handed' enforcement In previous reports, the police have said they will take a calibrated and even-handed approach in enforcing the law. This approach was explained in some detail in the MHA statement: "If a person is found consuming liquor in public places, the police will take down his particulars in the first instance and require him to dispose of the liquor. If there is public annoyance, the police can also advise the person to move on and leave the place. If he complies, no further action will be taken. Got those pamphlet stated they buy back old/new bottle liquor.... if all my vodka bought from airport duty free, can I sell to thme? is it illegal??

i have alot of hard liquor which over the years collected ... i have too many of it and wanted to get rid some of it... now drinking more of the red and white wines ... anyone can tell me where i can sell it off or someone want to offer for my collection??

Any MCFers know, if my friends were to buy some bottles of Duty Free liquor from abroad to Singapore by air. And from Singapore gonna have a road trip to Malaysia. Can we bring the bottles and pass the Sg-Msia custom? I mean is it legal ? Thank you !

Does liquor expire? ie Vodka, Whiskey, etc if it hasnt been open? Cheers
