After Mercedes launched the limited edition C63 AMG in Japan, rival German carmaker, BMW, is now launching the 116i Fashionista special edition in the Land of The Rising Sun as well. Only the five-door version will be offered and it will be powered by the regular 1.6-litre turbocharged engine churning 136bhp. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Limited to only 360 units, this Japan-market 116i carries a starting price tag of 3,460,000 yen (S$45,842).
The 116i Fashionista comes with a choice of three body colors, namely Crimson Red, White III Arupin and Deep Sea Blue metallic. The car gets chrome grilles, chrome tailpipes, and black window surrounds and wears 17-inch alloys with 205/50 tires.
Inside the cabin, German hatchback gets Dakota Oyster leather package is on the seats, door panels, and the handbrake. The door arms and part of the console and dashboard get glossy off-white finish. Extra equipment includes a rear-view camera, front seat heaters, and Park Distance Control.
