Hi folks, Today went to Viacom for inspection and failed. As I'm the 2nd owner, thus, I wasn't aware what did the previous owner did. Anyway, he has changed the front headlight to HID and LEDs for the rear and front-small light. So Viacom failed all the lighting related test section. So do any folks have any workshop who is expert in this area and help me to get my car back to compliance ? I only afraid some workshop assume this and that, end-up, I fail again and have to re-do all over again. Worse, my road tax is expiring soon, so I need to get it done quickly. Many thanks ! Cheers,

Dear bros/sis, I have recently begin preparing my vehicle for CNY (haha). As you know, swirl mark occurs over time irregardless whether we like it or not. I recently spent 4 hours plus manually removing it by hand. No doubt I am glad that all marks are gone from my bonnet, I now have to face reality that I have the rest of the car to deal with T_T So I was wondering if any bros/sis have seen those buffer machine they use to polish cars but can be operated by ciggy lighting plug instead of the normal power socket plug. Cause living in HDB means I have no access to power points at ground level car park. Was hoping if this machine exist, I can buy it and that should reduce my time needed for removing the rest of the swirl marks from the remaining portions of the car. Thanks in advance.

We normally see laser lights used on numerous applications such as barcode scanners, optical disc players, laser lighting displays and etc. What if it was applied onto vehicles as headlights? That would look really nice, especially in the dark. BMW recently announced that they are moving towards advanced lighting technology and they showcased it onto their i8 concept car at the recent 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. BMW is illuminating the future as the company has announced two new lighting technologies. First up, the Dynamic Light Spot system uses an infrared sensor to detect any animals or pedestrians that are 100 meters (328 feet) in front of the vehicle. When something is found, a beam of light is focused on the object to alert the driver. BMW has also developed glare-free high beam assistant. Details are limited, but the company says the system uses a camera to detect oncoming traffic and then "masks" the headlights to prevent glare. BMW didn't say when to expect GFHBA, but indicated the DLS system will be offered as part of the Night Vision package. Source: BMW

Not for the faint heated. http://www.tfhrc.gov/safety/hsis/pubs/envseries.htm There are 400 pages worth of info here. Don't go through it unless you are bored stiff, Jenna Haze does not excite you anymore or you are jobless. It confirms that yellow light is still the best if you are really serious into driving safely at night. The more yellow the better, like those used in Le Mans races. However, yellow bulbs are not environmentally friendly if you used them up and want to throw them away.
