  2. ST PA lifts restriction on invitees to events on PA-leased sites By Li Xueying The People's Association is lifting its restriction on who residents can - or cannot - invite to events that are held on PA-leased sites, so long as the activities are of a 'non-political' nature. What this means is that opposition MPs can now be invited to these activities. The lifting of the restriction, however, applies to only events organised by non-grassroots organisations. This latest move, announced in a joint statement by the Housing Board and PA on Tuesday night, comes in the wake of a furore over the use of public spaces in Aljunied GRC.
  3. Imagine you parked your car outside your house at night but when you come back to it you find it in another position, far from the place you parked it last night. 4. I noticed that my HDB flat's lifts are often dirty because the cleaners apparently do not clean them frequently. I would have to 'feedback' to the town council before the cleaners clean the lifts. The last time I feedback was when puke stains were not promptly cleaned off. Anyway, I decided to embarked on a litlle experiment of mine to establish how often are the lifts cleaned. After documenting a stain on one of the lift walls for a period of 30 days, I concluded that the lifts are actually not cleaned at all! Instead of submitting photos, here's a little light hearted clip that I made. Hope the town council can get to see this. Enjoy!
  5. http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking...ry_490159.html Romania responded swiftly yesterday to a request from Singapore, lifting immunity for an embassy staff member here and distancing itself from remarks made by its former charge d'affaires over a fatal car accident last year. --PHOTO: SHIN MIN ROMANIA responded swiftly yesterday to a request from Singapore, lifting immunity for an embassy staff member here and distancing itself from remarks made by its former charge d'affaires over a fatal car accident last year. It said that since former charge d'affaires Silviu Ionescu has been suspended from his diplomatic job, it will be up to him to decide whether to return to Singapore for a coroner's inquiry next month. A Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Romanian MFA) spokesman told The Straits Times on Friday that his country would do 'everything possible in order to maintain and enhance good relations between Romania and Singapore'. The spokesman, Mr Lucian Rosenfeld, also dismissed allegations by Dr Ionescu in a recent television interview that he had been 'set up' by the Singapore Government. Romania 'firmly disassociates itself' from those accusations, Mr Rosenfeld said. Dr Ionescu has been identified as a suspect in two hit-and-run accidents last Dec 15 involving a Romanian Embassy car.
