I changed my tyres last week and noticed that the car veers to the left when I release the steering wheel whether I am in the first, second or third lane. My mechanic told me that it is normal for this to happen when the tyres are new. Is this true?

A cigarette butt landed on my roof top (likely thrown by someone on the second or third floor) and it left a yellowish burnt mark about a 10 cent coin in size. Would someone be kind enough to let me know how to remove this burnt mark?
