Instant karma for cyclist who tries to cut off cars during a red light
Fadevfast posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
TL;DR - Cyclist in Clementi thinks he's the Boss of the road, gets knocked down by SUV during green light for vehicles. Netizens unanimously laugh. While I’m not a driver, I understand how annoying cyclists can be. I like running, and in my usual route there’s a narrow stretch where cyclists are supposed to dismount. There is a large sign at both ends of this stretch telling them to dismount. Something like this. But they don’t, so my momentum dies because some fellow can’t obey rules and my run becomes more miserable than it already is. As a result of this, seeing this video on Facebook today pleased me greatly. What happened? On 8 April, 10 A.M, a cyclist at Clementi forgot his place on the road and tried to pull a very stupid manoeuvre. The cyclist, who I presume is named Clementi with the entitled way he was riding, successfully cut off the car on his lane during a green light for vehicles. However, he was less successful in the opposing lane, as a Suzuki Vitara was unable to stop in time and sent this cyclist flying. Let’s watch that again, it was pretty funny. A pedestrian crossing was also right beside the cyclist when he attempted this, so this accident could have been easily avoided if he had some patience and courtesy. But now he suffers some injuries, physically and to his ego. Hopefully the latter scars, for everyone’s sake. Online chatter The internet united once again for a laugh, and made more jokes about the incident to fuel the joy. Others noted how satisfying the incident was and how they can’t stop watching the video. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Vezel driver makes illegal U-turn and gets instant karma
chitchatboy posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
Ouch. That must have hurt quite a bit for the Honda Vezel driver. Spotted on various Facebook group is this video of a Honda Vezel doing an illegal u-turn at the junction of Telok Blangah Road and Sentosa Gateway on 26Nov 2020. Unfortunately for this Vezel driver, a Singapore Police Force Patrol car was among the cars that had the right of way and needed to avoid the crossover. Naturally, the SPF patrol car turned on its siren and stopped the Vezel immediately... So what can we learn from here? Like what your Army Encik says, if you insist of not following the law, just make sure you don't get caught... -
Man uploads video to shame DHL delivery driver, gets online backlash instead
jameskarlchan posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
Here's a perfect example of how public shaming can come and bite you in the ass. In a recent video uploaded on Singapore Incidents' YouTube channel, an angry man chases down and confronts a DHL Delivery driver because the DHL driver allegedly pointed the middle finger at him. Here's the video if you haven't already seen it. In the video, the incident begins along the KPE when the DHL van does an e-brake in front of our angry man, who is driving behind the DHL van. Angry man proceeds to sound his displeasure with a couple of honks. Ideally, this should be the end of the story for most people. But, no. The angry man then proceeds to chase the DHL van like some road vigilante. As soon as angry man's car is parallel to the DHL van, we hear some cries of displeasure before he grabs his mobile device* (which was recording the whole incident) to capture DHL driver's face on video. *This is a chargeable offence by the way The video cuts off and jumps to the DHL driver sitting on the floor and speaking in dialect (Hokkien I think?) trying to justify his actions. It's not clear how they ended up out of their vehicles. Angry man then demands an apology from the DHL driver for pointing the middle finger at him. We think the finger-pointing might have happened when both their vehicles were parallel to one another (in the camera's blind spot). The DHL driver humbles himself and apologises in both Hokkien and English. But, angry man can't let sleeping dogs lie and submitted this video to shame the DHL driver. What the people say He should have just let it go after the apology and maybe he thought netizens would rally behind him. But, boy oh boy, was he wrong. What do you think?-

Egypt's Prime Minister says a Russian civilian plane has crashed in central Sinai. The Airbus A-321 was carrying 224 passengers and crew. Confusion remains over where contact was lost with the plane, which was traveling from Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheik to St Petersburg in Russia. AFP reported that it went missing over Sinai, while other sources suggested contact was lost in Cypriot airspace. The plane was carrying 217 passengers - 17 of them children - and seven crew, according to RIA news agency. The jetliner was operated by Russian carrier Kogalymavia - which also trades by the names Kolavia and Metrojet - and most of the passengers were believed to be Russian tourists. The office of Egyptian Prime Minister Ismail Sharif confirmed the crash on Saturday. A cabinet level crisis committee has been formed to deal with the tragedy. Within a few minutes of the announcement of the crash, Egyptian research teams found debris belonging to the plane near al-Arish airport in the Sinai Peninsula, reported the dpa news agency, citing an Egyptian aviation official. Egyptian security sources told Reuters there were no early indications that the plane had been shot down. The news agency quoted a security officer at the scene saying that the plane was completely destroyed. RIP. Wreckage of Russian passenger plane found in Sinai: Egypt govt The wreckage of a Russian passenger plane carrying 224 people on board was spotted in a mountainous area in the Sinai Peninsula. POSTED: 31 Oct 2015 15:20 UPDATED: 31 Oct 2015 17:53 VIDEOS PHOTOS 16 34 1 Email More A A CAIRO: Egyptian military planes have spotted the wreckage of a Russian passenger plane that crashed on Saturday (Oct 31) in the Sinai Peninsula with 224 people on board, the government said. "Military planes have discovered the wreckage of the plane ... in a mountainous area, and 45 ambulances have been directed to the site to evacuate dead and wounded," a cabinet statement said. The Prime Minister's Office said Prime Minister Sherif Ismail had formed a cabinet level crisis committee to deal with the crash. The passenger jet was travelling from the Egyptian resort Sharm el-Sheikh to the Russian city of St Petersburg when it disappeared from radar screens in Cypriot airspace, Russia's RIA news agency reported, citing a Russian aviation authority source. The source said the aircraft was an Airbus A-321 jet operated by Russian airline Kogalymavia. A senior aviation official said the plane was a charter flight carrying 200 adult passengers, 17 children and seven crew members. Communication with the aircraft was lost, he added. Sergei Lzvolsky, an official with the Russian aviation agency Rosaviatsia told Interfax news agency that the plane had departed Egypt's Red Sea resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh at 5:51am local time (11:51am Singapore Time). He said the aircraft did not make contact as expected with air traffic controllers in Cyprus, and "since then the plane has not made contact and has not appeared on radars". Flight #7K9268 was descending at about 6,000 feet per minute just before signal was lost, according to Flightradar24.com. The Egyptian premier's office said the Prime Minister is expected to meet ministries and authorities to follow up on the Russian plane crash.

Stomp has made many singaporeans mousy, escalating small disputes with phototaking, giving one sided stories, publicly humiliating people, causing people to judge one another too readily. Even ST editor is hanging up the Stomp editor, making him apologise himself after apology last week. Too bad no picture of him. This is karma. Hope he learns to edit Stomp better. If he gets to keep his job Stomp editor apologises for false picture on website Stomp editor Azhar Kasman apologised to train operator SMRT on Friday for a false picture posted on the citizen journalism website by one of its employees. He also expressed regret that he did not cooperate promptly with SMRT staff during its investigation into the picture that purported to show a train moving with a set of its doors open. It was posted last week by Ms Samantha Francis, 23, a Stomp content producer. She has since been sacked. Mr Azhar was writing in response to a letter from SMRT's interim chief executive Tan Ek Kia, which said that he had withheld material information from SMRT staff after the picture was first posted. 'This was a serious error of judgment on my part,' Mr Azhar, 32, wrote. 'I can only say in mitigation that as a relatively new editor, this was the first time I was dealing with a situation like this.' He said he hoped to learn from this mistake, and that Stomp's operations would be tightened to prevent a repeat of such an incident. On Friday, Stomp addressed on its website some of the questions that have swirled since the incident. It said that posts from its staff would no longer be put up under nicknames but instead be clearly attributed to 'The Stomp team'. It also made clear that Stomp - which has one editor and six content-producers - does not pay for content contributed by members of the public

after those things said about the Evo that did not make it....... This evening, someone kissed my ass...a JB bike.....bugger, fell off teh bike, bled thru mouth. Glasgow coma scale 15, all sense alert...but still i got the amboolan down to aid him. On the spot, called amboolan, TP and gave report, made police report and all. I helped the fella to his feet and apparently he is in KTPH and has a broken mandible....kinda feel sorry for him, but he kissed my back side and my bumper nothing, just some paint peeled off cos his motorbike tyre grazed the bumper. Contacted my insurance and they told me to go to Stuttgart to do the report and let them claim....actually, i can leave it be lah..... Nevertheless, gonna claim from him and his insurance....let Stuttgart do the necessary for me. Last contact, the fella's wife called me say he go op....I told them claim insurance.....should I go give him flowers??? kinda feel sorry The collision happened just out side the 'mandatory give way to bus exiting'......guess the bugger blur lor.....
