An auntie in Star Vista parking lot yesterday pulled off a 1 v 5 clutch against other drivers to chope a parking lot for a Nissan Sylphy, of which she was the passenger of. According to the person who submitted the video, they had been waiting in the lot for around 20-30 min before finally seeing a car driving out of the lot. They were excited to finally be able to park until they saw the auntie “happily walking and standing in the lot”. This meme came to mind: They thought the auntie was simply going to stand around for a bit until they tried to reverse and found the auntie still not moving. At this point, “I know this auntie want to be famous alr.” Asking the auntie to move nicely (supposedly), she insisted that her car was coming and that she got here first. I think she also said “what you want me to do?”, but the background noise is too loud to hear clearly so hear for yourselves. The recorder found that another driver was leaving at this time and chose to relent. Online chatter There’s a common adjective used to describe this kind of behaviour. TLDR - Camcar is trying to do a three point turn, uncle does not let him and unleashes his limited vocabulary Love watching adults act like children when those same adults probably criticise my generation. What happened? A camcar at Buangkok link was trying to do a 3-point turn when a Honda Jazz operated by an unpleasant uncle was blocking him from completing the manoeuvre. The camcar was quoted in the Facebook post saying that he was trying to exit a corner loading lot to do a 3-point turn. However, he needed more space to complete the turn as the kerb and walkway was on the right of his car. Wanting him to shift his car, the camcar let out a quick beep to catch the Honda driver’s attention. But instead of shifting, the Honda instead reversed to block his way. Of course, the video starts with the uncle in the Jazz being the aggressor, so we have no way to verify the camcar’s story. Nonetheless, the uncle’s behaviour certainly doesn’t help his case. The uncle instantly starts with flipping the bird. He then honks and shakes his flipped bird as if it somehow does some mental damage to the camcar. Instead, it gives me mental damage knowing people like this exist. Impressively, he challenges the camcar by bidding him forward, all while keeping his middle finger extended. That takes practice. A bystander off-camera comes along and some exchanges in a Chinese dialect take place. Unfortunately, I can’t translate so if anyone understands do put it in the comments below. The whole video is pretty much the back and forth between the camcar and uncle, with mostly swearing on the uncle's end. TL;DR- Cam car driver posts a video on Facebook trying to get people to side with him because a car “almost” hits him, gets called out for pettiness and trimmed video. East side best side? Sure there’s some good food there (shoutout Wild Olives and The Basil Inn) but there’s certainly a case to be made that the East is overrated. Case in point, dealing with entitled drivers like this one. What happened? A driver in Pasir Ris was exiting the driveway of Pasir Ris St 21 when a Toyota Altis tried to pass a stationary taxi in front of it, forcing the car to go against the flow of traffic and create a standoff with the cam car. After a few seconds of tense inactivity, the Altis backed away a bit and the cam car promptly moved forward as well. The video soon ends. So? The cam car posted this video on Facebook with the caption “PHV vehicle was impatient and filtered out dangerously almost hitting my vehicle. Cutting across single white line and driving against traffic. Tp report had been filed.” It’s giving “Karen” vibes but otherwise it’s a perfectly reasonable complaint. However, the beginning of the video clearly shows the cam car moving forward long after the Toyota has stopped. And that there is still an acceptable gap between the two cars. So even if the cam car was “almost hit”, it would arguably be its own fault. But let’s go deeper. As previously stated, the Toyota had only backed away a small distance before the cam car moved forward (0:16). This doesn’t help the cam car’s statement of “almost being hit” because it’s reducing distance between them and would instead turn the caption into “got hit”. Even if the Toyota was initially in the wrong, the cam car is not helping things. The Clowning Begins Facebook users were quick to ask about how the cam car filed a report for something as small as this. Others also pointed out that it's ok to overtake the taxi as it was a stationary vehicle and the video being trimmed. Suffice to say, the comments were not in the cam car’s favour. TL;DR - This female Harrier driver double parked her car to go shopping at Clementi’s Sheng Siong supermarket, got unhappy when being called out. If you didn't already know, the popular term ‘Karen’ is used to describe an entitled and obnoxious middle-aged woman. This lady definitely hopped into the Year of the Rabbit as one. Watch this 41-second clip to see what I mean. What happened? This driver decided to park beside a row of vehicles already parked parallel to the curb, to go CNY shopping at Sheng Siong, blocking other cars from exiting the car park. When confronted, she was unapologetic and even said “I park here all the time, I can do whatever I want. First of all, let's define the term 'Karen'. According to Wikipedia, 'Karen' is defined as: Watch this video to catch Singapore's very own Karen and her husband in action: What Happened? This incident occurred at Red Swastika School, supposedly one of Singapore's "branded" Primary schools. Two security officers attempted to stop a Bentley from entering the school as it did not have a valid vehicle label. Unhappy at how the Bentley was refused access into the school, the female passenger of the Bentley pulled the most basic 'Karen' move ever. She immediately got out of the car and whipped out her phone to film the school's front gate and two security officers. Moments later, she hopped back into the passenger seat of the Bentley. And this was when matters escalated. The Bentley driver, supposedly the husband of 'Karen', started driving the car into the school in an attempt to get both security officers out of the way. However, the security officer in the luminous green vest stood firm in front of the Bentley to prevent it from entering the school, risking his life in the process. This caused the security officer to stumble back a few steps before the Bentley came to a halt. Subsequently, the security officer could be seen bending down and holding his knees in discomfort. Not Caught On Film After the entire escapade, a staff from Red Swastika School granted access to the Bentley for it to enter the school. Later on, the Bentley couple was spotted alighting the kid inside the school's drop-off point. Was it necessary that you got out of your way to cause a traffic jam and risk the lives of others just to alight your kid inside the school's compound? Geez, how embarrassing for the kid. No Record Found After doing some poking around, it turns out that the Bentley's number plate does not exist in LTA's record. MMM...sus much? What do you guys think of this? Instantaneously, this reminded me of the road raging Audi driver incident (Refer below), where a car workshop gave the driver a wrongly printed number plate. I am not surprised if this turns out to be the case for the Bentley too. The Minister has spoken! UPDATE: 11/1/22, 3:55PM A recent user-submitted footage revealed the actual reason for preventing the Bentley from entering Red Swastika School. The Bentley driver apparently "cut queue" to turn into the school and attempted to enter the school by driving against the flow of traffic.
