All, I've just installed a Clarion EA1251 iPod interface/adapter in my car. I'm using my iPhone 3GS as the source. The problem is the EA1251 does not charge my iPhone. My installer has mentioned someone got by this problem by using a charging adapter (cig lighter powered?) bought from Sim Lim Square. Priced ard $40. If anyone know the name of this charging adapter, together with the place to get it, I'd be very grateful. A pic of the said adapter will be very helpful. Any other suggestion will be appreciated too. Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Ref above. Criterias are: 1. Support iPod search - artist, album, songs, genre 2. Support Asian characters (suspect this is a tough one) Have seen Alpine W200E, does not support (2). Your recommendations please.

Alpine has introduced a new iPod interface, the Full Speed (KCE-422i) which promises on-HU control that is as responsive as the clickwheel on the iPod . Currently the only HU compatible with the Full Speed is CDE-9850Ri. Any one knows if the Full Speed and the 9850 are available in Singapore ? Also, any news on upcoming compatible Alpine HUs?

I've read lots of horror posts on the Pioneer CD-IB100 iPod interface . I like the Pioneer HUs for the auto EQ and time alignment features but am put of by the poor user interface of the CD-IB100 . What other ICE brand/s have auto EQ, time alignemt AND good (meaning ease of controlling the ipod like you would using the clickwheel) iPod interface ?

I noticed on Pioneer Europe website a new version of their iPod interface, the CD-IB100II. I enquired about the difference between this and the CD-IB100 with an installer and he in turn checked with Pioneer Singapore. Pioneer Singapore's reply to him was - It's the same as CD-IB100. What? The same? Why then do they bother to have a new model number? Marketing ploy? I don't think the Pioneer people know their products well. Any one knows what the differences are? Mukaiya
