anyone here tried insulating it wif thermal wrap or similar? perhaps it would give slightly better performance?

I've seen Jap/HK car magazines on the insulation of air filter box or the open cone filter. Most of them have stainless steel sheet as the body frame. My question is, stainless steel heat up fast, so is it recommended ? I've currently insulated my air filter box with 9mm Armaflex foam sheet....
