  1. If you driving & see a flood infront .... will you
  2. I've been frequently encountering this wierd situation lately. From a distance, I noticed the traffic light in front was red and slowed down. There was already a car stopped at the traffic light in front of me. As my car approach the car in front, the light turned green. The car in front would not move till I come to a full stop behind it though there should be ample time for him to move off. I could see that the driver of the car in front is waiting for me to stop as he was looking through his rear view mirror. Have you all encounter the same ?
  3. What a bad friday morning. Ok here is what happened. As per usual route > heading to Boon Keng via the road in front of Serangoon JC to Kovan then to fly-over then all the way to Boon Keng. This is a long straight road. I reach Serangoon JC at about 7.00am. Traffic came to a crawl which was un-usual as i left home earlier today and at this timing traffic should be rather smooth. In the end i only managed to pass the Shell after Kovan at 7.30am. And the thing that pissed me off was there was road works in progress right in front of Shell which caused the center lane to be not accessible. I think this is very bad. I think LTA knew this route was a heavy traffic route in the early peak hours cos the fly-over was built in order to ease the traffic conditions. How can they even allow the road works to continue when the morning peak hours start? What the point of building something to ease traffic conditions when you going to approve another activity that is going to create jams? Dont they even care about affecting the daily commuters that use that road every morning to either get to school or to work. It just sounds ridiculous to me. To all the bros who were struck in this meaningless jam. I will be sending an email to LTA on this damn road work thing.
  4. Today I happen to drive by the stretch of road, traffic was not very heavy except for few taxi uncles trying to wait for passenger at the taxi stand which is only meant for 1 taxi (This might be the reason that causes the congestion as explained by LTA). I am sad to say the gantry spoils the sight of Singapore's tourist attractions like the merlion, fullerton hotel and the esplanade. The gantry is blocking the view of the attractions. Maybe the elites feel that the ERP gantry is 1 of the Singapore's attractions.
  5. Hi guys, 1. I've seen street cars fitted with smaller wheels for front and bigger wheels for rear? For example, 16" wheels for front and 17" wheels for rear. 2. What exactly are the purposes of doing so? Are there real benefits? Thanks. Regards,
  6. Today New Paper headlines read : "Booked for parking in front of own house" - Katong man takes fight to court and loses. A private house owner along Marshall Rd received a summon of $50/- for parking right infront of his own house gate. He wrote a letter of appeal to URA thinking that they had made a mistake. URA reject his appeal and followed by 7 letters of appeal to URA. During this time, another summon of $50/- received for same offence of parking infront of his house. So instead of paying for the summons, he decided to take his fight to court. Last Tuesday, the owner lost his cases and was fined $700/- each for the 2 charges for not parking his car in a parking lot. On top of that, the owner chalked up a legal fee of $8000/- and had to take leave to attend the trial. Total cost for all the hassel is about $10,000/- for a $100/- fine. So beware for those who stays in private properties with car pouch inside your house. You have to park your vehicle inside your compound or risk fine from URA. This road (Marshall Road) was gazetted as one of the problem spot for illegal parking and even with the owner vehicle does not cause any obstruction or parking against a double yellow lines, URA can still fine you for illegal parking. With this case won by URA, you can expect them to take this as a preceding cases for future reference.
