Nothing beats a horror story in Singapore. Besides, records shows that horror books were the most borrowed genre in local Libraries. Remembered I was travelling in a Taxi towards Punggol new estates and the cab driver took a short cut via Buangkok instead of taking the SLE and TPE. Along the way were many new but vacant HDB blocks (except for a few occupied units) along Buangkok. Felt eerie although it was only 6 plus in the evening. The cab driver told me that the estate is haunted as many of his colleagues drove past at night and saw some paranormal "things" on the road. He also told me that a young couple wanted to return their new flat in Buangkok to HDB bcos they saw a "woman" cooking in their unit when they opened the door. Well, it is up to us whether we believe these sightings but anyhow, do you have any interesting stories to share on haunted estates in Singapore?

Yahoo reported: World's most haunted hotels Home to the paranormal and unexplained, haunted hotels never fail to fascinate even the biggest sceptics. These ghostly tales from hotels around the world are enough to send shivers down the spine of even the bravest soul. First World Hotel (Genting Highlands, Malaysia) No stranger to the locals, Genting Highlands is said to be one of the most haunted places in Malaysia. Also home to the famous casino resort, there has been numerous gambling-related suicides over the years. First World Hotel is infamous for its paranormal activities - guests who have stayed there would hear wailing spirits in the middle of the night, some have even seen ghostly apparitions jumping over the cliff only to vanish into thin air - the most famous account is a headless woman roaming around the corridor, apparently looking for her missing head. Asia Hotel (Bangkok, Thailand) With dimly lit corridors and lights that flicker in the middle of the night, many hotel guests have encountered ghostly apparitions sitting on a sofa, staring at them and then vanish into thin air. The Roosevelt Hotel (Los Angeles, US) The living A-lists haunt the Chateau Marmont, while for the celebs of the underworld, like Marilyn Monroe and Montgomery Clift, chose The Roosevelt as their favourite joint. Wahhhhhh........ MY First World Hotel made it into top 13 most haunted hotels in the world.... Those who still want to meet Marilyn Monroe can proceed to The Roosevel Hotel .. The rest of the 10 haunted hotels are found in the link below. link : http://sg.news.yahoo.com/photos/world-s-mo...1347265645.html

Found this in a forum. http://www.shc-forum.com/posting.php?mode=quote&p=1073546 Posted: Fri Dec 01, 2006 12:57 am Post subject: OT : Be careful of junction at Yio Chu Kang Road Hi All Because of work I usually drive back home late along Yio Chu Kang Road towards Thomson road. I have been doing this for many years The junction outside Apples building, the one turning in AMK industrial is 'NOT CLEAN'. I am serious. On Monday night I was driving back at 12 midnight. When I approached the junction I had a odd feeling and I slowed down. There were no cars at all and it was very misty. Suddenly I saw a cyclist cross the juntion in front of me. It was a PRC woman and her face was the usual SUPER BOR CHAP expression and did not even check if a car was coming. I honked and jammed brake!! My Subaru did not skid but nearly missed her. My car finally stopped at the middle of the junction. Before I could open my door and shout out the most filthy vulgarities to her, I heard a very hard braking sound from my back, and a loud bang!! I turned my head and saw a Ford Focus hit the road divider. The car was slightly damaged. To my horror, there were no cyclist!!!!! If I was dreaming, then how come the other car also saw her and jammed brake?? I came out and ask the other driver. He was in deep shock. I looked around and there were no cyclists!! ???? he said he saw me missed the cyclist and too jammed this brake and his car skidded. Both of us immediately knew it was very strange and maybe not a human. Last night I drove past the same juntion. This time, I really slowed down. But when I hit the juntion, the traffic light turned red and I had to stop. What made me eeekk was there were no cars, no one, no pedestrains, etc..... I waited for a while, and I drove off when it was green. And when I looked back at the rear view mirror... I saw a woman cyclist crossing the road !! I will take AMK Ave 5 next time. Please take note when you go past that junction again.

Since "The Conjuring" hit the big screens worldwide, fans have been questioning the authenticity of the film. If there is one item in the film based on fact it would be none other than the Annabelle doll. While the film doll is quite different in appearance in real life, the story remains as hair raising as ever. Yet, another doll named Robert the Haunted Doll that inspired the making of Chucky in "Child's Play" also exists in another museum. Now, which doll is scarier: Robert or Annabelle? Quite a few occult fanatics headed out to the Occult Museum located behind Ed and Lorraine Warren's home in Connecticut. The purpose of their visit is to take one good look at the doll named Annabelle who made her "film appearance" in "The Conjuring." While the Raggedy Ann doll may appear innocent, all locked up in a special glass case, it's quite the opposite. Annabelle was formerly owned by a nursing student named Donna in 1970. The doll was a gift from her mother. Donna never gave the doll a second thought until it started moving on its own. The first few weeks, Donna noticed subtle movements from the doll; however, as the days passed, the doll appeared to become fully mobile. One time, Donna had come home to find the doll perched on the couch when she had left it on the bed. Things became scarier when Donna's friend, Lou, got involved. Donna would find pieces of parchment paper around the house with the message "Help Us" or "Help Lou" scribbled in writing. Yet, Donna continued to be unconvinced that something sinister was going on with the doll. The time came to call a medium when Donna found blood stains on the doll. According to the medium, a 7-year-old girl Annabelle Higgins died in Donna's apartment and latched on to the Raggedy Ann doll. Feeling for the girl, Donna and her roommate, Angie, agreed to let Annabelle stay. From this point on, things went from worse to worst. Ed and Lorraine Warren were then called to investigate the doll. Upon agreeing that the doll was inhabited by a demon, Annabelle was taken away from Donna and was kept in a locked case at the Occult Museum until today. Another doll equally as disturbing as Annabelle lives in the Fort East Martello Museum in Key West, Fla. Robert the Haunted Doll, as he is called, used to be owned by Robert Eugene Otto. The doll was allegedly a gift from Eugene's caregiver who was believed to have cursed the doll with black magic. Eugene's parents first thought nothing of the doll until they heard their son talking to the doll and Robert talking back in a deep and sinister voice. Things took a turn for the worse when Eugene was found screaming "Robert did it!" in the middle of the night. Out of options, Eugene's parents locked Robert the doll in the attic. Eventually, Eugene grew up, married and sold off the estate leaving the doll in the attic. A new family moved in with a 10-year-old daughter who found the doll in the attic. The doll was taken away from home when the girl claimed that Robert tortured and tried to kill her. Robert the Haunted Doll was said to be the inspiration behind Chucky of "Child's Play" who tried to kill his owners in attempts of becoming a real child. Like Annabelle, Robert the Haunted Doll is kept in a glass case. Anyone wanting to take a photo of him must ask for permission, if not, the person taking the photo would eventually be cursed.

interesting read... Don’t look behind you Driving alone at night, even with music blaring out of your car’s in-car entertainment (ICE) system, always seems like a spooky thing to do. Even if you happen to have a BMW or Mercedes with each marque’s nightvision optional extra, driving down a dimly-lit winding country road – and we have many crisscrossing the country (even within Kuala Lumpur itself) – at night can be a very “interesting” experience. Were the headlights in the rear-view mirror really from a car and not a phantom VW Beetle trying to race you off the road? Did you just spot a face in the mirror sitting in the backseat or was it all just a trick of the light and your own tired state of mind? Apologies to those of you expecting bon mots on overloud car stereos and GPS units that lead unsuspecting taxi drivers down the wrong turning and into an oncoming train but, as Halloween is just around the corner (Oct 31, to be precise), a tribute to some of West Malaysia’s most spooktacular destinations seemed appropriate. Of course, if you happen to be driving through or to some of the following places, what you thought you just imagined may not have been a trick of your imagination ... and not even the best car sound system in the world can drown out your shriek of terror upon putting one wheel into – cue appropriate music here – The Twilight Zone. At destinations like Bukit Tunku or Kenny Hills where, aside from palatial mansions and more grey-market import cars than you can shake a stick at, you can sometimes find yourself being followed by a speeding phantom biker or a shadowy silhouette that keeps pace with the speed of your vehicle. Then there is the strange tale of the taxi driver who picked up a fare to go to the Highland Towers only to be paid by his phantom passenger with a money bag filled with blood. It is said that on the anniversary of the disaster every year, you can still hear the screams of the many dead who lost their lives tragically. Given its age – and the fact that many of its older schools were used as torture and detention centres during World War II – it is no wonder that KL has its fair share of spooky corners, haunted carparks and phantom vehicles. Yet, it does not have a monopoly on all things that go bump in the night. There’s the Karak Highway and its various tales of phantom cars that try to race you into a deep gorge or the story of dead husbands and their severed heads being used to whack the top of cars by a demented banshee-esque apparition. Or how about one of the destinations along the highway, the resort of Genting Highlands where – according to urban legend – there is a floor at one of the hotels where no one can ever get a room ...because the entire floor is reportedly haunted. Further down the Karak, punch in “Tras” and “Police Station” on your TomTom/Garmin/Papago et al and chances are, you will end up at one of the most remote stations in the country. It’s apparently so haunted that policemen have reportedly resigned their commissions rather than be transferred there. If you happen to be heading north on the North-South Expressway, a detour off the main stretch will lead you to the infamous Kellies Castle where unknown screams have been heard while doors have been known to open and close by themselves. Then there is the eerie road near Tambun town where you literally are driving amongst the dead courtesy of the graveyards that seem to surround this lonely stretch of tarmac. The ghost of an old lady is said to stand by the side of the road here waiting for what, we don’t know and we don’t want to find out. Tired from your paranormal road trip and need a pit stop? Why not try the Tambun Inn? If you don’t mind lights switching on and off by themselves, hearing whispers where no one can be seen and occasionally see the odd shadow figure, then this is the place for you. Ipoh itself has many spooktastic locales but, if you head further north to Kuala Kangsar – type Malay College Kuala Kangsar – and, unless your satnav is acting up, you will end up at a boarding school where the shadow of a hanging man can be seen amongst the shadows of a tree, where the sound of a platoon can be heard marching and where the sounds of chains being dragged can sometimes be heard amongst the corridors of this hallowed hall of education. And then, and only if you’ve survived your ghost adventure through half of Peninsula Malaysia, punch in Union High School, George Town, Penang, and be prepared for what the locals apparently call “The Deadly Junction”. It is said that, no matter how good a driver you are, if you happen to be driving on the road near this junction, you will crash your car. Or see the ghostly figure of a lady carrying what looks like a baby. There is a TV series on cable called Ghost Adventures that regales the viewer of the adventures (some say misadventures) of three brave/foolish Americans who travel the world looking for ghosts. Now, with this rough introduction, some Internet research and a GPS unit, you too can do what they do. Of course, if you’re crazy enough to want to do this, don’t forget the adage: “Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it.

A video was recently posted online, alleging that a HDB block may be haunted. The shaky video, at nearly eight minutes long, is titled "Government build a Haunted HDB flat". The flat in question is Blk 279, at Toh Guan Road. In the video, the block is quiet, and indeed looks quite eerie as the lights in the block, including at the ground floor, lift lobby and stairwell, constantly flicker on and off. There are no spirits captured in the video, and it could well be an anti-government statement to criticise the authorities on what appears to be faulty lights in the whole block. Others speculate that the video could be an attempt to make people think that the estate is "unclean", which may lower the value of the flat. This is because the flats at Toh Guan Road are the priciest in the Jurong East area. For the residents though, the inconvenience is real, as some say they are frustrated with the problem, suspected to be caused by faulty circuits. One resident, Xu Rui Juan (53, housewife) says that the flickering lights in the area makes it quite scary at night when residents return home. See the video here:

Why I ask is because my lenovo notebook is behaving strangely since about 6 months ago: what happens is about once a day, the cursor will go all over the screen and it's very hard to control it with my touch pad, but the red button seems to have better control when this happens..... is there a 'ghost' moving my cursor for that few minutes? .... or there's a curse somewhere inside?.... anyone has the same experience. Seriously, is it possible someone has hacked my pc and every now and then he takes over the control of my cursor thats why the cursor does not follow my control? I dont know....

Below happen to my family, so just wanna share with all of you. My family of four, me, wife,2 kids (1 & 4 year old) stay in a 4 room flat. 1) My wife got goosebumps when watching tv alone at night for a couple of times, as if someone is sitting next to her. 2) Toilet flushing, door opening/closing sound were heard while I was bathing & my family are all sleep. 3) My 1 year old boy would wake up almost every night crying without any reasons. 4) My 4 year old daughter have small bruises all over her leg & back without any reasons. 5) Worst of all, I came face to face with the female ghost before & I also pee in my pants. 6) Me & my wife were having sleepless night & it affected both my family & work performance. I engage 1 fengshui master & tell him my problems. He assured me it's a small issue & he will perform some ritual at my house, ask me to buy some ornaments & all these costs a bomb. Even after he "cleanse" my house, the problems still occurs. I tried calling him numberous time but could not get him. When I finally got him, he told me that this ghost is too powerful & I need to book another session with him & this time round the charges are even more expensive. (I was quite pissed off by his irresponsible/money grabber action & decided not to engage him). Through my friend recommendation, he intro 1 female master whose shop is in a maket stall selling flowers & providing poker card / bazi analysis, house cleansing & more. I was thinking "how can a master be good when he/she is from a market stall selling flowers at the same time"? Neverthless, I went to her stall for consultation. Master Cheng did a poker card analysis for me & even before I told her my house problems. She just told me:" your house have a "ying" energy & the "thing" is disturbing your whole family right?. I was surprised she is so spot on & I am sure my friend did not tell her before hand because I only tell my friend the general situation whereby she could related most of the things in my family. She told me she will go to my house to communicate with the ghost 1st & promised to tried her very best to help. She told me some facts about herself, how she was born with "3rd eye" since she was young & she decided to go into this line because she wanna help more people & also her interest in fengshui. Appointment was made & she came to my house. She made some preparation & began to mediate to communicate with the ghost. After she awake from the mediation, she told me she manage to negotiate & pacify the ghost. She give me clear instructions to do some cleansing for the house : do some buddhist chanting day & night, go to one particular temple to pray & burn some things like clothings, hell money & make up kit for the ghost. I ask master why need make up kit, she reply me in a joking tone:" You seen her before & she is disfigured right"? I immediately knew that the master did really commuicate with the same ghost in my house because the ghost I have seen face to face is indeed disfigured. I followed her instructions & things return to normal. For the next few weeks, no more toilet flushing/door opening or closing sound, my baby boy did not wake up in the middle of the night, no more bruises at my daughter's leg or back, no more goosebumps & we could sleep well throughout the night. I am really grateful to this Master Cheng & I return to her stall to give her a big red packet as my way of appreciation. She is friendly, humble, patient, price reasonable & most importantly I can feel that she really wants to help me & my family. Her poker card analysis is really acurrate & she is able to see & answer the questions that I have for her. Hope my above encounter does not bored all of you out. Cheers

http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/Others_C20...corner_P1750654 Reading the above thread reminds me of my near accident experience happened along ECP. The incident happened last year. We were driving along ECP at around 10pm, heading towards the city. At that moment, we were cruising at 90Km/h along lane 2, but for some reason, my passenger and myself dozed off behind the wheel, and the car gradually filtered towards lane 1. I didn
