Honda Vezel driver blocks wheelchair user from using ramp
chitchatboy posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
This Circuit Breaker sure has many people losing their temper after being cooped up at home. Check out this incident between a uncle in a wheelchair and another uncle in his Honda Vezel. Detail are scant but from what we can infer in the minute plus video that has been spotted on SG Road Vigilante, the owner of the Honda Vezel appears to have stopped his car in a no parking area. This in turn blocked the uncle that wanted to use ramp. With both having ego issues and not willing to give in, the whole incident nearly blew out of control with the Vezel owner nearing injuring the senior on the wheelchair by driving into him. Check out what the others have to say about this incident... -
An image uploaded in SG Road Vigilante Facebook of a Ferrari 458 Italia parking at Alexandra Village Food Centre on a handicap lot. This keeps me wondering. . . Should a disabled person drive such a monstrous car? 🤔 But on a closer inspection. . . This Ferrari 458 did not have a handicap label yet parking at a reserved handicap lot. According to the accessibilityisfreedom.org website, if you attempt to park at a handicap lot, the fine is $400. Maybe the driver is really handicap but hasn't applied for the handicap label. So just in case, you need to know how to go about it. 1) Online via e-Service (SingPass required) 2) By email or post [email protected] or SG Enable – Car Park Label Scheme 20 Lengkok Bahru #01-01 Singapore 159053 Required documents: - Class 1 Application Form - Note: The Mobility Report must be completed by a Singapore registered medical doctor. - Clear photocopy of the Applicant’s NRIC (Front and Back) / Passport - Clear photocopy of the Applicant’s Singapore driving licence (Front and Back) - Clear photocopy of the Applicant’s Vehicle Registration Details from LTA - Clear photocopy of Car Rental Agreement if your vehicle is a rental car The fine has been increased from $200 to $400 yet there is still inconsiderate drivers who abuse the parking. And here are some comments. Nevertheless, let's be gracious toward each other while driving! Remember to pay your parking fines! 🙂

Hi, i have a neighbour who always park in a handicap lot, none of the drivers looks handicap, her car got a handicap sticker but just a blue wheelchair sticker with no car number written. i notice most handicap stickers have the car plate written on it. i am thinking if her handicap sticker is not really a handicap sticker.. anyway i can verify? or any number or website i can check?

I think using Deal.com.sg as a portal for donation drive is great. It makes it easier for those already have an account. Another plus points is Deal.com.sg will bear all administrative cost, hence 100% goes to the beneficiary. http://www.deal.com.sg/deals/singapore/mr-leo-trying-his-best-be-good-father-husband-your-donation-can-help-families-ne?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=deals&utm_campaign=deals20141103&sc_src=email_1138229&sc_customer=&sc_eh=88ac8fc60ee828b91&emst=Ys5eFl14ZX_147263_1138229_1986

Nowadays the handicap lot there is a number there for you to call when you see people parking illegally there. Am impress with it, their response is quite good within 30mins or lesser i guess Called in on a car that was in the handicap lot where there is tons of empty lots around and when i came back later after 30mins later i saw a summon there of $400~ I think people should call in if you see people parking illegally there.

Can anybody park the car at a handicap lot with a passenger on wheelchair? Like (touchwood...) friends or relatives who are on temporary wheelchair or old folks who have walking difficulties. Thanks in advance.

Today I spotted a car who had illegally parked his car again at the handicap lot without valid handicap disc. He had been doing this for the past 2 weekend and today, I decided to report this case to HDB. HDB firstly had remove the "1800" and i have to pay to report. Secondly, I was on hold for 10mins and got piss off by them. I took my wife phone to call and using 2 lines hoping I can get a respond. Waited and waited and decided to phone NPP to seek assistance on the matter. and the officer in charge said that they are not incharge of these issues. Made me wonder y a law is broken and civil servant not serving us? Then he say he is a OMO and not able to leave the post.... We really lack of SPF enforcer??? How can they cope with the increasing FT population? Then my wife line got thru and report the matter to HDB. These made me confirm that the system needs to be change and have no doubts that my decision is correct.
