Recently it seems alot of people has been airing their frustrations here....I would like to pen down my thoughts on this....as well as seek the wise advice of all the wise people here.... When one door closes on you, sometimes another unexpectedly opens up...for example as you guys know yesterday was the official brokeup date for me...there is nothing tying me and my exgf together anyway as the sale of our property is completed...previously we felt that we were obligated to be together partly because of our joint assets...so with nutti to tie us together....it's perhaps the start of a new beginning for me....the only question I have is that should I cancel the insurance policy we bought on each other for a large sum of money...we had not spoken to each other for months and since we do not contact each other anymore I suppose we will never get back together? With the property issue settled, I feel like asking her so how are you happy? I want to tell her that the small sum of money I deposited in our account is hers and if we should cancel the insurance but I also cannot bring myself to call her. I am both sad and happy at the same time, I realise that there are actually alot of nice girls around for example Rviolet who is really keeping me busy now...so as mentioned when one door closes on you, unexpectedly another opens up.....so I wish all the bros here who has divorce or broken up to keep the faith and be happy....open up your mind and try new things....for example I sturbornly use a nokia phone for 10 years thinking it is the best but after changing to an iphone, wow, it is actually so much better than the symbian software.... So my advice to all bros is to constantly try new things, improve yourself, life goes on and eventually happiness will come to you! I don't know what I am talking about

Popular burger joint Five Guys rumoured to be opening in Singapore Sources: https://www.timeout.com/singapore/news/popular-burger-joint-five-guys-rumoured-to-be-opening-in-singapore-051419 With rumours flying that popular burger joint from Virginia Five Guys is about to open in Singapore late this year, the local food scene has been set abuzz. If confirmed, this will only be the chain's second outlet in Asia. The first was opened in Hong Kong last year to much fanfare and snaking queues. We can expect more of the same in Singapore if the waiting times for Shake Shack are any indication. The cult-favourite American brand is renowned for its huge and messy signature double beef patty burgers wrapped in foil, fresh cut crispy fries drenched in peanut oil and milkshakes so thick you can eat them with a spoon. Toppings for burgers are free (a magic word for most Singaporeans), with options like grilled onions, jalapeño peppers, relish and more – anyone can appreciate a burger with all the works. Vegetarians also have options like the veggie sandwiches, which come without a patty. Instead, they include grilled mushrooms and any other toppings you desire. Shake Shack, Burger & Lobster, and now Five Guys? We wait patiently with extra serviettes.

Very curious here as I think most drivers will listen to the radio on the way to work. having worked overseas, i am quite shocked by the standard of our morning shows though i can understand to an extent why, with our strict censorship here. so i would like to know the consensus of you guys. i am only choosing the more popular stations here for drivers; i am aware of more english morning shows. personally, comparatively speaking, I do think Kiss is doing the best. the chemistry between the DJs is strong and they come across as very genuine. second would be 913 with Glenn and FD. They started out well but are declining as I think their shows are not really prepared beforehand. So they just say whatever that comes to mind or simply topic of the day. And it does come across as lazy and lacking effort at times. But well they too have a good chemistry. I find it hard to decide which is the worst, Class 95 or Gold. Class 95 with Vernon and Justin do make an effort on their show. However, their jokes can be stale and so 90s. And I find it a bad match for Class 95. They probably do better with a channel that targets the younger crowd. I find their jokes to be a bit crass at times. Gold with Mike and Vernetta likewise, is quite awful. Vernon and Justin, however crass, can come up with smart jokes now and then. However Mike and Vernetta come across as trying way too hard and mostly falling flat with their banter. Quite cringe worthy very often. And really, i find them a poor fit for a station with a more mature audience. in a nutshell, i find that Vernon, Justin, Mike and Vernetta all caught in a time warp, so stale and tired. i hope there are newer DJs that will shake the roost a bit. probably the only industry where it's the same old faces for sooo long lol

hi, cousin got into accident, fully his fault. he rear ended another car. damage to his car is minimal, but damage to the other party is serious. boot cannot close, bumper dented with some cracks, bumper and headlights misaligned. just want to know, if he can settle privately, which workshop is recommended (won't carrot chop). another question, lets say the repair bill too high, then settle via insurance, my cousin wants to know what will happen. the car is his company's car and thus under commercial insurance. will his company premium go up? will there be a record on the company or on the driver? this record will be permanent? this record will affect future car purchase?

If you look into the mirror each time these days and feel like you are suffering from a bad hair day, it’s always good to take a breather and look back at some of the classic hairstyles from the 1990s. Here are 10 different hairstyles from yesteryear that have left a lasting impression in our hearts. And on our heads. 1. Bowl Cut The bowl cut is the epitome of gender equality since both boys and girls were subjected to the same childhood atrocity. Many children had it courtesy of thrifty parents and their DIY home barbershops. 2. Flat-top For some reason, everyone can remember having one friend who had this haircut. Short, neat and so very flat you can balance balance books on his head. 3. Side-Parting This is what happens when your parents comb your hair for you. The level of dorkiness is directly related to how flat your hair is combed. Some of you have combed your hair so flat you have developed your first signs of balding along that parting. 4. Center-Parting Perhaps one of the most common hairstyles to have in secondary school back then, the center-parting was considered to be cool. And we have Aaron Kwok to thank for this abomination of a hairstyle. Bonus Ah Beng points if you had one of those orange combs with the sharp ends. 5. Armani The “Armani” hairstyle was perhaps as bad as the center-parting, if not worse. To create this look, flatten the top of your hair and leave only the fringe standing. Truly awful, yet it has garnered so much popularity back then. Gaudy. 6. Faux Hawk One of David Beckham’s more iconic haircuts, many have attempted to recreate the fin, but only a handful managed to replicate a decent-looking faux hawk. What was supposed to look like the above image almost usually turns out looking like this: Faux hawk? More like faux pas. 7. “Spiked” Hair All guys are definitely familiar with this type of haircut. Even today. But back then in school, the bigger or more outrageous your spikes are, the more badass you are. The most common types of spiked hair were the shorter and neater ones though, probably an evolution of the flat-top. Once in a while, you’ll see some weak attempts at liberty spikes because they wanted to look like “that guy from Good Charlotte”. (Does anybody remember Good Charlotte?) But they usually end up looking like this instead: 8. Long Fringe/ Mullet Combo Sometimes incorrectly classified as the “Asian Emo”, this long fringe mullet combo was fairly common among guys after secondary school. Oh and butches, too. 9. The Currypok a.k.a. Pompadour Named this way because it resembles the curry puff. Retro as this hairstyle may be, it certainly puts meaning in the phrase “old is gold”. The pompadour has made a revival in the recent times, and seems to be the rage these days. Tasteful and classy, the modern pompadour is usually remixed with an undercut, upping the style factor. http://mothership.sg/2014/05/9-unforgettable-hairstyles-sporean-guys-swear-by-in-the-90s/

Be careful along Lornie Road guys!!! Serious matter...
Urns posted a topic in General Car Discussion
Hey peeps just to warn you guys about the U-turn at Lornie Road towards AMK/Bishan/Toa Payoh/Upper Thomson. Yesterday I almost got into an accident and I'm sure there were a few others who shared the same sentiments. At around 6.30pm, I was happily travelling at 80-90 km/h on lane 2 along this route and suddenly a lorry emerged from the U-turn. The manner in which he did the U-turn was slow and it took up 3 lanes altogether! And all these happened for at least 5 seconds. The Merc on lane 1 which was travelling around the same speed had to come to virtually a stop as well as a few others, including me. I could smell the rubber being burnt and I'm very sure some vehicles applied emergency brakes to avoid collision with this lorry. To the lorry driver, please don't be so inconsiderate. Do not think that by getting a Bangladesh to stick out his hand out of your lorry we must all stop for you. To the rest, please be warned along the stretch of Lornie Road near this U-turn. -

Friend just opened a new salon in Joo Chiat, asked me to come down and take a look. It's a modern vietnamese style salon. The deco is damn nice, and the place is very big but cosy. Their concept is to have a place for guys to hang out and relax while enjoying their "grooming". They have quite a lot of services, hair cut, wash, scalp massage,, hand and foot grooming in the spa area, hair colouring etc. Their specialty is ear cleaning viet style, damn shiok. Prices are super reasonable cause they just opened about a month and a half ago, but the service is top notch! Anyway I took some pics with my phone so you guys can have a look. They also have some good eye candy, their staff are all very friendly. ( must say first, no specials so don't bother asking but the girls are really good) It was an awesome experience. For those who want to come down, I think their opening hours are from 12-9.30pm everyday, address is 260 Joo Chiat Road. ALeDa Salon

-
Half Naked Woman Chasing Guy Wow.. the gal also quite fierce, wonder what's the whole story.. anyone have the full story ? the guys most probably rottan, unless they are FT (saying matter of fact-ly, not trying to stir s--t)
-
I understand one of the current hottest topic is the need for FTs given the low birthrate. In my case, I don't even have enough time for myself and wife, not to mention having kids. Daily Schedule ------------------ 0630 Wake up. Wash up, prepare and have breakfast 0730 Head to office 0815 Settle down for work 1800 to 2100 Finish chionging office work, meetings, reports, etc 1900 to 2200 Reach home 2030 Finish workout (no workout on 2200 days) 2130 Settle down and finish dinner 2330 Check out investments, listen to music, read books, play games, catch up with wife 0000 Sleep Weekend Schedule ---------------------- Mainly bringing in laws or wife or my own parents around. Either that, go nearby trips or just shop in Singapore with wife Catch up with friends That's usually how I spend my time. Sometimes got to chiong work over the weekend as well. Seriously, I don't even have time to upgrade myself with courses and stuff. How do you guys find time for taking care of kids? Really respect all the parents
