My 2005 Mitsubishi Grandis had gearbox problems and was confirmed by X431 Diag Report (code 001: 44 4th not syncromesh and code 002: 42, 2nd not syncromesh). At slow speed especially in morning difficult to drive due jerks, but once speed picks up seems to be ok. But I guess it is not safe to drive. The car has 10 more months to go before COE expires. Do you all have any suggestions - to repair or scrap? How to maximize returns at this point? Thank you. -

Hi Guys, Any owners of this model 2007.....can tell if the starter motor's cranking is loud. Car starts well but cranking is loud compared to other jap cars. Is the motor faulty ?

Hi all. Like to hv some views from bro/sis here. Im driving a Mit grandis 2.4A(not sports model) Mar 2005, parf $14.8k. thinking of changing to an old Toyota Camry 2L of the same value. Trying to see if I can reduce ownership cost with lower rd tax and patrol cost. For me the MPV is too large and a sedan will be better. Is the saving really attractive not forgetting the Camry parf is lower? Let say i switch to a Camry 2L June 2005 w/o any costs, at the end of 10 years, do I actually make any gains? Rd tax saving is abt $1.2k for 3yr till coe exp. Not sure how much saving for insurance. My petrol cost abt $500/mth currently, not sure a 2L will save me $100 a month? if so will be $3.6k savings for 3yr. How abt maintenance costs? Currently Mit Grandis main. costs is quite ok and i presume the Camry is the same? How much savings do u think only will this exerciser be worthwhile? 5k? 10k? 15? 20k? Thanks you for ur opinions.

Wiper : Had tried to looking for it in Autobac but the one they selling has a smaller latch, so it won't fit. Spark plug : A Non Agent workshop honestly told me that it is better to replace with agent's version, because some other customer had faced problem when try to fit a different brand. Bro, any thoughts and how much they are selling ?

Just to relate an encounter on the road. On the 18/01/2007 I was traveling on the PIE(towards Changi Airport) and exited at Stevens Road exit. After being in the exit lane traffic came to a halt. There was a Mitsubishi black Grandis which had its driver(in a blue shirt) put on his MPV's hazard lights and then walked to a Mazda RX-8 behind the Grandis. The driver of the Grandis started pushing the RX8 to the side of the road to allow traffic(which also consisted of a SBS bus) to pass the narrow road. Apparently, the RX-8 suffered mechanical difficulties and the Grandis's driver parked his MPV in front of the RX-8 to gave him a hand. In a society of "Me" and "Mine", it was heartening to see another driver help another. Cheers on you, the driver!
