http://www.ssophth.org/archives/271-274.htm XI Malaysia- Singapore Ophthalmic Congress 19 June 1993 Dr Khoo Chong Yew Visiting Consultant, Singapore National Eye Centre, and National University Hospital A HIGH-TECH WORLD In 1992 I delivered the Singapore Medical Association Lecture entitled "The Doctor's Role in a High-Tech World."2 I stated that medicine is now a "technology-driven profession". This has widened the doctor's traditional role of "comfort and cure"; the modern day doctor is expected to: Be wary about teh cost-effectiveness of the investigation and treatment. Avoid overservicing the patient. Protect himself against patients who will not hesitate to complain against or sue him. Display his charges so that all patients are aware of his fees.3

Any bros/sis have a garment steamer at home, recently bought 1, then found that after using, there some condensation beneath the unit directly. My unit is Europace EGS901, so anyone has similar experience can share, sorry, this is the first time i'm using such a device, so not too sure what is the normal operation status.

Saw the news just now, in fact a follow up after veteran national sprinter knocked by car and died at Thomson road in front of a church. MP will meet all relevant parties including the church this coming Thursday to prevent further incidents. An elderly couple got accident on the same spot earlier and nothing happens. Thousands of people died on potential accident spots and since when they got into attention and seeking improvement like this? Peasants life is cheap, mediaco*k su*ks, law favours the elite and rich. The only time equal is probably under the ERP gantry.
