Sony’s new State of Play stream focused on showing off Gran Turismo 7 in all its next-gen glory, ahead of the game’s release date on 4 March, 2021. The car simulator seems to pack in everything fans love about the Gran Turismo franchise, with robust car customisation, splitscreen multiplayer and more. Watch the State of Play presentation in 4K below: If you’re the kind of gamer who looks for the most bang for their buck in racing games, rest assured that Gran Turismo 7 has a ton of content to offer. The game includes more than 400 cars, 34 racing locales and 90 tracks to explore. Performance-wise, the PlayStation 5 version will support 60fps with a framerate mode, or 30fps with ray tracing. You can also play with others in local or online multiplayer. While details on the game’s PlayStation 4 version are scarce, the PS5 version does come with a few interesting next-gen upgrades. The usual DualSense features are present, with haptic feedback enhancing the sensations of driving cars across different surfaces, plus dynamic engine and car body vibrations. Much like first-person shooters that use the adaptive triggers to enhance gunplay, Gran Turismo 7 uses these triggers to replicate the feel of braking systems in different cars. With more than 400 cars available, one has to wonder just how different these sensations get in the final game. The traditional Gran Turismo campaign returns here, allowing players to level up by racing and picking up credits to spend on their ever-expanding car collection. Instead of focusing on the racing aspect of car culture, Gran Turismo 7 also dives deep into everything else people love about high-speed, fancy cars. You can fine tune each vehicle for improved performance, customise your cars with stickers and decals, and even just take your vehicle in for a wash. Why not? Setting aside the campaign, there are plenty of other ways to play Gran Turismo 7. The Cafe mode is a more relaxed experience that lets you learn more about specific cars, while completing missions. Music Rally offers timed objectives where players race to complete checkpoints and listen to music on the go. Music Replays will cut up your old races to music, making little music videos for your viewing pleasure. Gran Turismo 7 launches on 4 March, 2021 on PS4 and PS5. -

Sony conducted a PlayStation 5 reveal event last week where they finally showed what the console looks like. Similar to its controller, the PS5 console is largely white with aspects of black. It stands out from the Xbox Series X which resembles a PC, and it looks awfully futuristic (or like a Wi-Fi router). However, while Sony’s next-gen console and the Xbox Series X both look magnificent, the suddenly announced KFC game console looks even better. But, is it actually real? It certainly looks impressive with the chicken chamber being the biggest selling point, but alas you most definitely won’t be able to actually get it. Is the KFC video game console real? Although the KFC gaming Twitter account hasn’t said whether their video game console is real or not, it’s clearly a parody of the Xbox Series X and more specifically the PS5. Granted, the kentucky fried chicken foodchain has created finger-licking keyboards and mouse before in the past, as well as even crocs, but don’t expect their gaming system to come out on November 12th. After all, a video game console with a BBQ grill called the Chicken Chamber is a dream too good to be true for those of us who aren’t vegans.

Its weak attempt to purchase Uber's private-hire business when it exited South-east Asia last year was usurped by Grab, which has emerged as the main player, with Gojek following closely behind. In South-east Asia, Grab has grand ambitions: to provide safe and convenient ride-hailing services in the region. Today, we read about ComfortDelGro's attempt to invest in transport-linked start-ups (ComfortDelGro investing in transport-linked tech start-ups, June 5). Read here! Instead of transforming its business model with its own ride-hailing app that would link all of its worldwide traditional taxi businesses and, eventually, its bus business, the company has shown a lack of ambition and leadership in the face of disruption. Still massively profitable from its monopoly over the local rail and bus services, this is one local company that has the resources to help take Singapore's internationalisation drive to the next level. Outrageous new TV dating shows cut straight to chase Once upon a time in a more coy era people made an effort to get to know each other -- perhaps learning each other's names -- before hopping into bed together. But for the swipe-right generation raised on dating apps like Tinder that is so last century, television executives believe. A new dating show is helping time-pressed millennials save on the unnecessary preliminaries by cutting straight to the chase. "Making Love" has jaws dropping at MIPCOM, the world's biggest TV market in Cannes, by having contestants have sex first before deciding if they like each other. Its French producers WeMake said it has brought together "scientifically-matched singles" to ask the essential question, "Could making love make you fall in love?" They billed the show -- which is being sold at MIPCOM -- as "a ground-breaking experiment into how humans fall in love. "Behind the (bedroom) door cameras have captured the new couple's every move, every awkward moment," the producers said, before pulling away at the last minute only to reappear in the post-coital glow -- or gloom. Contestants can then hurry into the bathroom to debrief the audience on just how their new partner performed. - Friends-with-benefits - "We will follow the daters over the next few weeks to see if the pair remain friends-with-benefits only or will they chose to get to know each other and start a relationship," the show's trailer promised. Although the producers are French, the contestants for the pilot show were British. The format is one of several new series which are likely to pop up on TV screens across the globe in the next few years. Analyst Virginia Mouseler of The Wit database said the new age of dating was not for prudes.

Recently saw a lorry keep trying to over take a car and jam break in front of it. Not sure why but I think the car somehow offended the lorry driver. He did pulled finger a few times at the car driver too before the car speed off. Not the first time I saw this on the road. But just wondering - what does one gain for jam breaking in front? Insurance can claim meh when it is the jam break driver's fault? What if someone is playing this kind of game with you and you just decide to smash into him?

Driveclub coming to PS4 on October 7, celebrates with new trailer

Journalists cited the game's competent physics, good looks and social features, during a short demos at the Electronics Entertainment Expo. Set for a position in the launch roster for the latest generation of Sony's gaming console, fans were disappointed when the game was unexpectedly delayed. Now, we finally have a new launch date for the title – October 7, 2014. Yes, that's nearly a year after the Playstation 4 hit stores, but at this point, we're just happy to hear the game is arriving at all. While racing gamers still have a few months to wait before they can sample the new title for themselves, Evolution Studios, the folks behind DriveClub, have released a new trailer made exclusively of in-game footage. -
The Nissan GT Academy has proven that hardcore gamers can become real-life racers, but Viagame wanted to see what would happen if a gamer raced head-to-head against a racer... in real time. To accomplish this, Viagame recruited a top gamer from Sweden and put him up against a racer for a one-lap sprint around Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona. To make the head-to-head race as close as possible, a full racing simulator was installed in the passenger seat of a Renault Megane RS, and both drivers "raced" the same car on the same track at the same time. We don't want to give away the winner, but both men had unique challenges. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa5Q73Fmup8 From the gamer's perspective, it must have been interesting to race virtually but deal with real g-forces that may not have matched up where he was on the track. On the other hand, the racer actually had to drive the car in real life instead of the gamer's virtual world – note the hand-over-hand steering wheel action by the gamer at about the two minute mark.
