I start with this funny news, the boy did not die but the Cobra dies😂 https://sg.yahoo.com/news/cobra-dies-being-bitten-boy-072439821.html A cobra died after an eight-year-old bit the reptile to protect himself when the reptile wrapped itself around his hand, according to a report. The boy, identified by only his first name Deepak, was playing in the backyard of his house on Monday in Jashpur district, in India’s central Chhattisgarh state, when a snake attacked him. The cobra bit the boy and wrapped itself around his hand, said a report by The New Indian Express newspaper. The boy said he bit the snake “hard twice” as he was in great pain. “The snake got wrapped around my hand and bit me. I was in great pain. As the reptile didn’t budge when I tried to shake it off, I bit it hard twice. It all happened in a flash,” Deepak told local media. The boy’s family rushed him to a medical centre following the snake bite. Dr Jems Minj, a medical officer, said the boy was administered “anti-snake venom and kept under observation for the entire day and discharged”. According to snake experts, the boy appeared to suffer a dry snake bite, which occurs when a snake doesn’t release any venom with its bite. The incident took place in remote Pandarpadh village, about 350km northeast of state capital Raipur. The snake reportedly died after suffering injuries from the boy’s bite. India is home to 300 species of snakes, including 60 highly venomous snakes. According to a 2020 report by nonprofit scientific journal eLife, India recorded 1.2 million snake bite deaths from 2000-19. Russell’s vipers, kraits and cobras were responsible for most of the deaths. Around 70 per cent of the deaths from snake bites occurred in eight states between 2001 and 2014. These states include Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh.

This is what happens when petrol prices are through the roof. A hilarious video of a driver pumping petrol in Malaysia has surfaced on Facebook. In the video, the driver of a black car was pumping petrol at a gas station. After filling his tank, the driver starts to drive away, failing to realise that the nozzle of the petrol dispenser is still tightly attached to his vehicle. This results in a rather embarrassing moment as the driver experiences some resistance – without knowing why. The driver’s attempts to leave the station with the nozzle attached almost uprooted the entire gas pump. The hose that connects the car to the gas pump eventually gives way and detaches from the machine, allowing the driver to finally drive off. SG petrol price hike The entire country recently observed a substantial price increase in petrol after the Ukraine crisis. On Monday morning, Shell raised its price of 95-octane fuel by eight cents to $3.06 per litre. Other companies soon followed, with Esso at $3.04, Caltex at $2.98, Sinopec at $2.95 and SPC at $2.87. With the prices of oil soaring in Asia to USD$130.50 a barrel, observers predict that the costs of 95-octane across other brands will hit $3 by the end of the month. A diagram by Petrol Watch Singapore’s Facebook page highlights the most recent petrol prices at the moment. Netizens’ reactions Posted with the caption ‘Fuel prices in Malaysia so cheap he want to take the whole thing home’, many netizens found themselves relating to the driver after the recent petrol price hike. Maybe he's trying to squeeze out those last few drops? 🤣 Some netizens called out the person filming the entire situation for not reminding the poor clueless driver. Other netizens suspect that the driver might have been trying to scam the station and avoid paying for the fuel. Nevertheless, with Malaysia reopening its borders on April 1, many local drivers are looking forward to getting to refuel their tanks for less (and possibly 'da bao' their own petrol pumps as well). ======== Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Undoubtedly, Singapore is one of the top richest countries in the world and home to 269,925 millionaires. Being rich means living a lavish lifestyle, such as staying in beautiful homes, wearing designer brands and driving supercars. Speaking of supercars, it is pretty easy to spot them in Singapore. However, it does not seem easy to be driving one. Watch this video to find out why: What Happened? In a video uploaded to TikTok, a female is seen driving a Ferrari with both hands mounted steadily on its steering wheel in the '2-10' position. Here is where it starts to get ridiculous. Her co-passenger, who seems to be the owner of the Ferrari, told her to 'turn right'. As the supercar approached the junction, the driver who wanted to signal her intention of turning right using the signal indicator could not locate the Ferrari's signal indicator. At this point, she started to panic and proceeded to upshift the gear using the paddle shifter attached to the steering wheel. The rest of the conversation goes like this: Lost For Words Yes, it may seem like a light-hearted affair, but NGL, I am at a loss for words. I can't fathom how someone can simply pilot a supercar or even a car in that matter without understanding its basic controls. It just gets even more ridiculous when you think about it. Allowing an inexperienced driver to pilot a supercar is just an accident waiting to happen. Don't believe me? Look at the aftermath of those inexperienced drivers getting behind the wheel of those cars provided by car-sharing services. What are your thoughts on this incident? Netizens' Comments The comment I was looking for👏👏👏 Go ahead, show it off by all means. What puzzles me is why did he have to upload it online to show her silliness? The guy in the video thought his actions would go undetected but the video has been going round on the web since yesterday. Morale if the story: With most cars having car cam on board, do something stupid, better prepare to have your face seen all over the world. (watch till the end and read the comment on tiktok) P/S: Hi moderator or admin, may I know how to embed the tiktok video in the post? Or the reader have to click on the link by default? Thank you.

While Singaporeans were celebrating Halloween with cute costumes and fancy decorations on the 31st, one man suffered a painful consequence when he decided to cross under the arm of an automated carpark gantry. In this short video, a cam car exits an open-air carpark when he stops to let a pedestrian cross the road. Thinking he could make it, the man hurriedly jogs across and attempts to leave the carpark by going under the automated arm of the carpark gantry. To his dismay, the arm quickly swings down and hits him squarely on the head. Upon witnessing this incident, the cam car driver lets out a loud cackle as he moves forward to exit. The poor pedestrian could be seen rubbing the top of his head as he runs off in embarrassment. Don't try this if you're not Usain Bolt, the fastest man on Earth. Netizens’ reactions While most netizens found the incident rather funny, some found the cam car driver's reaction to being a little too insensitive. It's always sad to lose a couple of braincells, but at least it's nothing serious. -------------------- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. This Honda driver's friend has set the standards when it comes to helping a brother out in a time of need. In the video, a black Honda is driving along a road when the driver suddenly realises something important - he had forgotten to display his P-plate at the back of the car. Not wanting to risk getting caught by the authorities (yes, failure to display a P-plate is an offence), his friend comes up with an ingenious plan. Now, I'm not sure about what the rest of you guys think but I'd say it's a pretty solid plan. While the P-plates in Singapore do come with velcro tape (in a new package), it has been speculated that the driver might not actually own the car that he's driving and that it could belong to a relative or a car rental service. In Singapore, a failure to display a P-plate for new drivers is an offence. A fine will be issued for first-time offenders and repeat offenders will have their license revoked. So, if you're a P-plater, don't forget to check for both plates at the front and back of your car before driving off! Netizens' reactions I'm not condoning using your friend as a personal P-plate holder but in a pinch, it works pretty great until you can find an MSCP to hide in and properly fix the plate on the inside of the car. --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. Here's the winner for the funniest hit-and-run incident of 2021
unicornfloof posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
Ridiculously hilarious footage shows a foreign worker attempting to help his friend navigate their Toyota Dyna out of a parallel parking lot, only for it to end up hitting the vehicle behind them. This incident occurred on Tuesday (July 20) at Upper Weld Road, located in Little India. The minute-long clip starts with the lorry suddenly jerking forward before reversing in a comical attempt to get out of the parking lot. Due to the jerky reversing, the vehicle could not swing out as intended. Trying to help his friend, the foreign worker sitting in the passenger seat alights the lorry and acts as a manual guide while the vehicle continues to reverse in the tight space. As the Toyota Dyna gets closer to the black vehicle in the parking lot behind it, the vehicle commander gestures for his friend to stop reversing. However, his friend does not seem to notice his signal and continues reversing. The lorry inevitably hits the bonnet of the black car behind as the foreign worker grabs the back of it to prevent further damage. The whole ordeal felt like a cartoon act as the driver successfully leaves the lot, almost forgetting to let his vehicle commander friend back onto the vehicle. Netizens’ reactions I don't think the driver will be asking his friend for parking help any time soon. There’s A Car Company Really Named ‘Bodo’, And We Don’t Know Whether To Laugh or Cry source: https://worldofbuzz.com/theres-a-car-company-really-named-bodo-and-we-dont-know-whether-to-laugh-or-cry/ Malaysians can get pretty colourful when they get agitated behind the wheel, that much we all know. Whether if its our friends, our family members or in most cases, ourselves behind the wheel, the habit of calling out bad drivers who don’t play by the rules is pretty common. And out of the vast vocabulary of Malaysian insults, bodoh, or ‘stupid’, tends to be pretty reliable. So you can imagine the surprise of Malaysians everywhere when it was discovered that a Chinese car manufacturer had decided to call themselves… Bodo. And they manufacture a car called the Bodo Chronus. Well, it’s not technically a car, but something called a Low-Speed Electric Vehicle (LSVE), which is considered to be a sub-category of cars powered via tiny electric motors. These tiny cars, which are quite popular in China, can only reach speeds of up to 69 kilometres per hour and do not need a driver’s license to operate in the country, according to The Wall Street Journal. In the case of the Bodo Chronus, it is powered by a 7.5 kw, or approximately 10 horsepower electric motor engine, according to a product video. Seating four individuals in its minuscule cabin, the car offers basic transportation for the masses. And with its generally low performance (remember, top speed of 69km/h) and small proportions, it might just be perfect for bad drivers who can’t obey the laws of the road. Hilarity and obvious jokes aside, Bodo has already set its sights on the European market, with the Chronus now being offered in Cyprus, Bulgaria, Malta and Greece. Which means that this tiny little electric car has managed to meet the often stringent regulations expected of foreign car manufacturers when selling their cars in Europe. How incredible is that? Quite bijak actually. Bodo also makes other electric vehicles too, but the details on their other models remains pretty scant. If you would like to know more about Bodo, you may find them on their Facebook page here. But our question is, when can we see the Bodo Chronus in Malaysia?

Domestic Helper Literally Sews Dumplings With Thread After Employer Tells Her To Tie Them source: https://mustsharenews.com/domestic-helper-dumplings/ Domestic Helper Sews Dumplings With Thread After Employer Tells Her To Tie Them Anyone who has tried making dumplings at home from scratch, just like in Crazy Rich Asians, would know that it is no easy feat. The task is made all the more challenging if you are hearing about this food item for the first time. So when a domestic helper was told to make dumplings for her employer, she had an interesting interpretation of this traditional dish. Yes, she literally sewed the dumplings up. Employer told her to make dumplings, tie them tight A Facebook post by Singapore Incidents revealed a hilarious conversation between a domestic helper and her employer. It seems that employer had requested the helper to make shui jiao, a common Chinese delicacy made with vegetable or meat filling wrapped within flour skin. Here’s what it normally looks like: However, for some reason, the employer used the Chinese words 水饺, which would obviously be perplexing for someone who can’t read Chinese. Confused, the helper asked for an English translation, and her employer referred her to Google Translate. She subsequently found out that she was tasked to make dumplings. Her boss left her with a quick reminder to “tie them tight” so that they will not disperse when placed in hot water. Tying the dumplings up with thread Something was obviously lost in translation, as the helper took out her sewing kit in the kitchen. Taking her employer’s instructions a little too literally, she painstakingly sewed up the filling within the flour skin with black thread, similar to how one would mend a hole in a shirt. Netizens amused by innocent mistake Her humorous take on the dish garnered much attention in the Facebook comments. Many believed that the employer did not give her clear instructions, resulting in her harmless mistake. After all, he did use Chinese words, and when he used English words, they were vague, for example “tie”. Be more understanding towards our domestic helpers Ultimately, it does look like a good attempt for someone who hasn’t made dumplings before. One thing is for sure: The dumplings are definitely tight enough to withstand hot water. Perhaps this should also serve as a reminder for employers to be understanding towards their helpers, as they come from a different country and different culture. Don’t unnecessarily complicate their lives by giving them instructions in a language they may not understand, or use vague terms.

To start off, the show was not the best of show. How did the producer even think poking fun at the malaysia pm would boost ratings? This is kind of disrespectful for the head of state. https://youtu.be/3RFUw5OYAn4
