I have changed my AGM battery after 2.5years, 70Ah Varta once Now the start/stop function fail again after 2 years, I thought AGM batteries can last longer than conventional type Does it mean now my battery is weak again presumably that's the cause for the start/stop failure recently? Ride : W205 C200 year 2014

Anyone knows of such device in the market where it works like a GSM alarm except that it doesn't have the alarm functions. Meaning to say it doesn't come bundled with an alarm system, but tap to whatever current alarm system you already have. So when your car is broken into and the alarm is triggered, the module will sms the owner to notify. Thereafter, the owner can use sms to track where the car is etc... just like a GPS tracker. Can also use sms commands like stop the car engine, lock/unlock car etc.

As per title, since most modern cars come with reverse/backup camera i.e. the one that activates when put into reverse gear, and front and rear dashcams are considered must-haves for your ride... Is there a reverse/backup camera that also performs dashcam recording function (or vice versa, a rear dashcam that projects bigger image on your ICE when engage reverse gear)?

Recently come across more and more disgruntled voices (some that I can think of in recent memory includes @Turboflat4, @jamesc, @eviilusion, myself) with regards to the anonymous function when giving praise or dislike, especially the dislike portion of it. I do recognize that MCF points cannot be exchanged for grocery vouchers and one should not be overly mindful of the points since it has no impact in your real practical life what so ever. I also recognize that anonymous function do have it's positive role and use eg. when we want to give another person further praise and need to cycle through at least 10 other person, sometimes I will use the anonymous like to give 1 point to some posts that did not particularly shout out to me but is fair in the contents. In between 5 and 1 point, given the current "market rate" , 1 point will seem a little stingy, therefore anonymous function will be useful here. If anyone have used the dislike function before, one will know that to give a dislike, you will have to enter some reason for the dislike before the system allows you to do so. I will assume that is some sort of deterrent for wanton use of the dislike function. But frankly, is this system effective? Do the mods monitor the content entered? I did get some dislike points with the comments totally not linked to the topic the supposed anonymous person is disliking for . or Simply a "haha" or some nasty words. That to me is personal attack. And the funny thing is I have never even met the person in real life. I also realised that this function has been abused by intellectually challenged people with oversized ego to "get back at the person" when they have been out debated in the open. If the system owner thinks that giving a dislike (reasons required) should be handled differently from giving a praise (no reasons required), then shouldn't it be time to review if anonymous function for the dislike should be abolished? If the anonymous function for dislike is abolished, it will make people think harder if they really want to give the dislike and if they are willing to stand by their differing point of view and defend it in the open in an intellectual discussion rather than sniping in the dark. I must come up and say outright that I myself have used the anonymous dislike function during the early days of my forum participation when I was too hot headed and taking things too seriously. I apologize sincerely to those (not that many lah ) I have given anonymous dislike to previously. That is not something I am particularly proud of and is hoping we can make some changes for the betterment of MCF.

My current car is having manual seat adjustment. Due to size difference between me and my wife I have to make major adjustments just to be able to get into the car. My wife sits very close to the steering but I need to sit all the way back because of my height. So far I tested cars with electric seat adjustment, they seem quite slow to adjust and have so many adjustment points. Looks like memory function will be very useful. Unfortunately most of the models need to top up to a higher spec or larger engine to get the memory function. Is it worth it? Maybe I should aim for cars with manual adjustment instead?

Of late, we have been seeing lots of trolls, NEW and some, the OLDER ones, as well as clones. Seeing that most tend to get agitated and pissed off (dun blame you). Here is how you can use the 'ignore' function to clearly EMPOWER yourself to be free of these infidels. Step 1: Click on your profile: Step 2: Find the 'IGNORE PREFERENCES' in the left side of the profile screen: Step 3: Add the said user/troll/clone that you want to ignore, in this case RADX Sep 4: Click 'SAVE CHANGES' Voila! you are done! With this, feel free from the irritations as well as the damn nonsense that comes from that POSTER Yes,please ignore me...hahahaha Hope you all will do this so that you will lessen your agitations here FOREVER, unless they change name, then come back to this thread...hahahaha PEACE

Hi all, I watched a Youtube video on Legend and they have this feature that I thought is pretty useful. It works this way: 1.The door lock automatically release without the need to press the remote key when you are near the door. Helpful, if your hands are occuppied and digging out the keys from the pocket is troublesome. 2. The door will not be locked if you place your car keys in the car. Good feature if you accidentally left your car keys in the boot and you close it without noticing it. Just wonder whether got such feature that we can get from 3rd party alarm system? Do you know? Thank you. Regards,

Was introduced to this new fun forum function by @babyblade and @kobayashigt! You may call/notify members that aren't participating in a post/thread. Type @ followed by their nickname (example: "@jman8888") It works similar with mention function in Facebook. Let me try @jman888 :p

This is a picture taken inside my Vios interior. See the little part circled in red. Do you know (or can you guess) its function? There's a whole story to tell about how I discovered what this is, but let's see who knows/can guess first.

Baby having man yue celebration next month. My flat not ready and our parents' place not big enough to host everybody in 1 sitting. No immediate family staying in condo as well. As such, I'm looking for a function room to host a man yue gathering with lunch buffet catering. Maybe up to 50-60pax. Any MCFers have any good suggestions other than hotels, SAFRA? Ideally i would like something not too far from a MRT station so that the elders will have an easier time finding the place. I've done some googling but anyone had any good experiences to share? If it's not very worth it (cost of room rental + lunch buffet), may just go for chinese restaurant dimsum lunch or something.

We are at the helm of some kind of activity that is coming upon us, ie Clone wars Let me again, emphasise the function of the IGNORE button. A few have used it almost successfully and thus, have been happy not to see the posts of an irritant or otherwise in their replies. Elmo and Adrianli come to mind. How to use it. Once u see a 'thing' that you think you do not want to see replies, and that it's replies are utter nonsense, click on it's name, and it's profile will come up. Next, there is an 'IGNORE user' button. Click that and your worries are over. There, 2 simple steps to get it. Hopefully, just hopefully, like the underaged pimp, if nobody entertains her, she will leave for elsewhere. Thanks, and let's be proactive in making this place even better as we move on. To more good years!

Hey guys, just out of curiousity, do you guys use the auto function of the headlight ( if your car comes with one ) ? i remember for manual type, normally we have to turn off the headlights and in any case, its not recommended to put it 'on' as it will shorten the battery light everytime you start the car due to surge of current, similar to air con and radio. however, with the auto function, i believe there should be a protection circuit to prevent current surge? or else whats the use of the auto if its not put on auto in the first place

Attended a cny function at a bungalow in holland area.. easily above 9000sqft.. The following was what I encountered in a few hours there. Rough count easily 100 guests.. Anyone can roughly estimate? 1. Lion dance troupe 2. Valet parking (4 valets) 3. Small pots of 'lucky bamboo' as door gifts 4. A lady playing gu zheng (traditional chinese musical instrument) in the garden - she left 9pm.. guessed she started 6pm 5. Live band took over after the gu zheng lady left 6. Easily seen 10 waiters/waitresses or even more 7. Few chefs at different food counters (buffet style) 8. 2 gambling tables with 'professional dealers' for blackjack and big-small 9. Many fans at different corners of the garden 10. A fortune teller at a corner to let guests interested to have their fortunes told There could be many i missed out.. Wonder if the host would give $$$ to charity besides lavishing..
