  1. I got a fren, age 34, earning 7.9K a month in a high risk and high stress job, he feels tired and stress out and is thinking of taking up a lower risk and lower stress job at 6.7K a month, he is in a dilemma as he does not know to choose higher pay or lower stress and perhaps more happiness in his life. I don't know how to advise him as for me I feel that money is very important. What would you choose, lower pay for better quality of life or higher pay for sucky life? Please advise sensibly as he is my good fren.
  2. My fren was trying to reverse slowly out from the carpark. He saw two adult standing next to the rear of this car, so he gave a light 'honk', they stopped and my fren also paused, checked the mirrors again, and continued his slow reversing.... suddenly one of them banged hard on his boot and shouted (*^&*^$&^%*&(*%&% at my fren. My fren blur, got out and asked them why? "Why you reversed when my kid was trying to cross to the other side?".............. and my fren saw one 2yr old standing next to them  Question, when the adults heard the honk and stopped, shouldnt they also stop the kid (knowing that the 2yr-old is shorter than the height of the boot of fren's car, that nobody could see her. My fren apologised and told them he really didnt see the short kid, but added "next time, take care of your kid".............. and drove off
  3. My fren recently took a SQ flight to London Heathrow. He checked in his suitcase at T3, and hand-carried his guitar (in a solf guitar 'bag'). Just before boarding the plane, the xiao mei mei in kebaya told him to turn back and 'surrender' his guitar+bag to the boarding counter so that it can be placed somewhere else on the plane instead of following my fren to the cabin. My fren has travelled between UK / SIN many times before, hand-carrying his guitar, so he told the xiao mei mei so and asked her to let him bring the GTR into the cabin. But the XMM rejected his request. My fren LL and reluctantly handed over the guitar but made it clear to XMM+ground crew that it's a fragile item and they must take care of it, and the ground crew stuck a few 'FRAGILE' stickers on the GTR bag and took it away from my fren. .......15 hours later at Heathrow baggage claim convery belt, my fren picked up the GTR bag but found the guitar in two pieces!!! As the flight's arrival at Heathrow was delayed, and my fren needed to rush to catch the coach to bring him to another town, he rushed off with the broken GTR to catch the coach which was about to leave the airport. My take: Before the flight took off from TS, the ground crew recognised+acknowledged that the GTR bag needed the "FRAGILE" stickers for obvious reason. Somewhere between T3 and Heathrow Airport (London) the GTR was damaged. SIA should take responsibility for the damage. Whether SIA goes after T3 cargo handling team or Heathrow cargo handling team is a matter between these three parties, my fren should be compensated by SIA as the unfortunate incident happened on a SQ flight. However, SIA will put up a defence: there's no proof that the GTR was damaged between TS and Heathrow, it could have been damaged after it left the conveyor belt at Heathrow!! It's my fren's words against SIA/TS/Heathrow's..... (too bad he didnt report the damage at Heathrow before leaving the baggage claim area) Conclusion: No case What do you think??
  4. As per title. My fren is 40 years old now, not exactly earning good bucks, ie. below 4K so local girls would deem him as "unsuitable". Not good looker either. However he has gift of the gab though, so sianing local ah lians no problem. Sian local career girl or chiobu(non lian) below 30 years old is a big problem, BUT, he wants a wife and he is quite besotted with those from Vietnam after seeing a video on youtube where 18 year old SYT looked so yummy and innocent, and curvaceous and demure etc. You get the picture ya. Anyone with a Viet wife? Or perhaps know someone who does. Can you share the pros and cons. I am supposed to go with him to Vietnam in about 2 years time to "pick" a wife. Apparently there are more choices than the local matchmaking agencies in Singapore. Penny for your thoughts? See video for the SWT I talked about. Certified virgin somemore.
  5. hello guys... i'm considering taking over my fren's wheel as he is scrapping his car. now i'm not too sure if its the right size or against the law as i read somewhere that you cant change the overall diameter of the wheel. correct me if i'm wrong i'm driving toyota corolla 1.6, current wheel size is 185/65R14. My frens' is 195/65R15. is this too big? BTW, he's driving a hyundai elantra. is that the standard wheel size for that car?
  6. this is his 'new' heart.......... what type of heart is this, any guess???
