My Honda car, side mirror will fold when car alarm lock. Unfold when car alarm unlock. But today the folding failed. It stayed in the open position when I lock the car. Even I manually pressed the fold/unfold switch in the car, also cannot fold the mirror. I don't think suddenly both mirror motor can spoil at same time. So it might be the third party auto-fold module is spoilt. But then even if spoilt, the manual switch should still work separately. I did not move the wires, so I don't think the wire might be loose(most likely the reason). Before I send in to the workshop. I wish to seek your comment n experiences, on this matter. Thanks.

I am planning to get a cheap foldable bike and will like to seek some advice from bros and sis here. The bike will be used whenever I need to tarpow meals for my wife and kid...usually within a radius of 600m. So I a very basic bike will do. Occasionally I may bring my kid to east coast park for her roller blading. Since I dont blade, the bike will help me to keep up with her. This is why I need a bike that is foldable so it can fit into my trunk. Also to stow away in the storeroom when we are not using it. A friend of mine intro the promo at aleoca to me http://www.aleoca.com/promo.htm The bike looks ok so I called up to check. Unfortunately the bike is only available at the warehouse and they are not open from 12 to 1pm...which is the only time that I am available to view the bike. If anyone has lobang for cheap cheap foldable bike...especially in the north or east areas like AMK, hougang, etc I will really appreciate. Thanks very much!

According to a recent report, the Ferrari 458 Italia Spider will feature a folding metal roof. While the car had been expected to use a canvas roof, a member of the TeamSpeed forum has said sources in Maranello have decided against it. Instead, the Spider will reportedly adopt a folding hardtop similar to the one used on the California. This should allow for maximum convenience and security, but it will likely come with a weight penalty. Regardless if these rumors are correct, the 458 Spider will feature a 4.5-liter V8 engine with 570 PS (562 hp / 419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. Power will flow to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which will likely enable the roadster to rocket from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.6 seconds. As we have previously reported, Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo has stated "We also plan a spider version (of the 458 Italia), but not for a couple of years." Source: teamspeed

Man caught folding parking coupon tabs to save $1 By Amanda Yong HE TOOK his family of four to Little India for a shopping trip. But before he bought anything, Periasamy Rajendran, 43, a civil engineer, decided to save a little money. Instead of tearing off the tabs on the $1 parking coupon he placed in his car, he folded the tabs backwards. Because of that, he is now $800 poorer. The Indian national pleaded guilty to tampering with a parking coupon last month and was slapped with the $800 fine by District Judge Joseph Yeo. The court was told that on 23 May, Periasamy, his wife and two children were walking back to the family car parked at Kinta Road, off Serangoon Road, after a spot of late afternoon shopping. Waiting there were two enforcement officers from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). They had been standing there for the past five minutes as they suspected that the parking coupon in Periasamy's car had been tampered with. Caught When the officers inspected the coupon, they found that the day, month and year tabs for the date 23 May 2009 had been folded backwards. So, too, were the hour and minute tabs. On closer inspection, the officers discovered that there were several other tabs with fold marks on them. They included four day tabs, two hour tabs, and two minute tabs. This indicated that the coupon had been re-used, according to court documents. In his mitigation, Periasamy's lawyer, MrRajan Supramaniam, said the offence was a one-off incident and his client "regrets his actions very much". Periasamy has been working here since 1997 and this was his first brush with the law. A URA spokesman said that between 2006 and 2008, an average of about 550 people were charged and fined in court annually for tampering with their parking coupons. In the first six months of this year, the figure was 250. For displaying a coupon that shows alteration, erasure or other irregularity, indicating that it had been tampered with, Periasamy could have been fined $2,000 and jailed three months.

can go look for cheap new cars in the newspapers ====================================== HEATED competition among parallel importers has claimed its first casualty: Frankel Motor, one of the more active players in the field. The four-year-old company which sold about 1,000 mostly Japanese cars last year from its Frankel Avenue and MacPherson Road outlets, is in receivership after it fell behind on payments to financial institutions. Companies like Bank of East Asia, Kenso Leasing, OCBC Bank and GE Money have filed lawsuits to try and recover sums ranging from $82,000 to $4.4 million from Frankel. Similar writs have been filed against associate Frankel Leasing; and their director Mr Ho Yik Fuh. Salesmen at Frankel yesterday said they were unaware of its financial woes, even if the crisis has hit several customers. Some have made police reports to try and recover their deposits or get their cars delivered. A police spokesman said 'we're looking into the matter'. One buyer, information technology professional Jeremy Chan, 31, said: 'I booked my Toyota Axio in September, my certificate of entitlement was secured in October, but I got it only this Wednesday.' He added that he was 'forced' to pay $3,000 on top of the purchase price of $60,000 to get it. 'It was a nightmare,' he said. 'I am making a police report too.' Parallel importers emerged in the 1990s when car import rules were relaxed. From a slow start, they now make up 25 per cent of new car sales. But success spawned scores of players, who undercut each other. Observers said this could have been Frankel's problem. Two of its lenders - OCBC Bank and GE Money - have appointed receivers to try and recover some of the debts by selling off Frankel's assets, mainly cars. OCBC and GE Money have appointed receivers, Ferrier Hodgson and Stone Forest respectively, to the task. OCBC is believed to be owed about $4.4 million and GE Money around $2 million. Mr Timothy Reid of Ferrier Hodgson said yesterday his firm is advertising in today's Straits Times Classified section to dispose of a number of Frankel's cars, which are now in a warehouse.

Have you ever experienced a situation when you have parked in a tight spot and find it difficult to get out of your own car and then you have to squeeze between someone's car and your own? The only way out is to either fold the mirror and then walk through. Sometimes, I notice that the other car is improperly parked in the parking lot, squeezing your own parking lot. When this happens, I fold their door mirror (partly in annoyance) so that I can walk out. However, if I am parked next to a pillar (like HDB hub), then I have no choice but to fold my own door mirror. What would you do? Also, do you feel it is wrong to fold another car's door mirror.

Today at the National Stadium, I only tore one coupon, and displayed another 2 brand new unused coupons beside it. I figured that with so MANY cars in the carpark, Fatimah will not bother to look at each coupon in detail, and will likely take a quick glance and zoom in on only those cars without any coupons displayed Good idea right? Just wondering whether this is considered cheating and whether the fine will be heavier than parking without any coupons displayed. (this is not the case where the tabs are folded down without tearing them off entirely. for my case, i displayed brand new untorn unfolded coupon) well, i have the intention to cheat, but they can prove it right?
