Calling all Fatimahs, got good business at Serangoon estate for u all. Work harder at this area pls. ST Forum Mar 8, 2011 Act against those who flout season-parking rules THE shortage of parking spaces in Housing Board estates for season-parking ticket holders ('MP suggests 'preferential' HDB parking solution'; last Friday) is a problem that affects the everyday lives of residents, and the HDB should review the issue. The carpark design at my Serangoon HDB estate is horribly flawed, with limited parking spaces for flats farther away from the main carpark. Residents have to share these few parking spaces with drivers using hourly parking. In addition to building additional parking spaces, there needs to be stricter enforcement of season-parking regulations. Many inconsiderate drivers who do not hold season-parking tickets use such spaces. There are times when I have to park nine blocks away, where the only available parking spaces are. These drivers are often not penalised and this encourages them to repeat the act. Boey Oi Lin (Ms)

This fella smoked in a non-smoking table of the coffee shop. The smoking corner is 10 tables down the row, so no excuse about not knowing. Plenty of empty tables around, so no excuse of no table. Simple plain lazy and bo chup. After smoking one stick, hands conveniently swing to the ground, cigarette butt dropped to floor, shoes stepped on butt to snub it out. Fantastic, skilfully done ... must be doing this all his life ... while it lasts ... It was raining ... so as most people know ... smokers are weak when it's raining ... so out came another cigarette ... still in the non-smoking table of coffee shop NEA officers should hang around more often during raining days. Catch these buggers, fine them big time. Any NEA officers reading this, contact me. I'll take time and be prosecution witness. I will show you which table and coffeeshop so you can match the photo and the facts.

Recently, there had been many news of car accidents which was basically caused by reckless driving. Personally, I have seen drivers who drive dangerously like driving through traffic lights which just turned red, stopping suddenly with giving advanced warnings, or just changed lanes abruptly. Is it because our current penalties for flouting traffic rules are too light and is not effective as a deterrent?
