  1. went to fill up at jb and me and another sports car were eyeing the same pump (not vpower racing, just normal cheaper vpower).Of course my powerful 1.6L vvti toyota corolla surged to the pump first but as a gentleman i let the slower weird car to the pump first but he ended up hogging it.... here is an image of the weird car in question, with cheapo owner trying to squeeze in every last drop
  2. Hi all, just curious what is the maximum fuel you managed to pump in to your fuel tank . Is it more than the capacity of your tank or same as your capacity ? Does it do any harm if you fill up more than the capacity written in the manual ? Appreciate your friendly comments .
  3. i made this observation when i filled up my car tank with just about 4-5 litres of petrol at a petrol station... (long story... but basically just filled up enough to avoid empty tank so i can get to my preferred petrol provider) the first time i did it, i realised there was no impact whatsoever on my gauge, distance travelled, distance to empty indicator etc... i thought amount put in was too insignificant. second time, again same thing. but it got me thinking... 5L is a significant amount. is it possible that the first few litres is just vapour, no liquid, or a mix of both.... so you get much less than what you think?

  6. S'pore motorists drive off without paying after filling up [/color] DOWNRIGHT nasty - that's how some pump-and-flee petrol cheats behave when caught by attendants. Some scream abuse, some try to bargain and others simply ignore the attendants' plea to pay up. Petrol theft in Singapore is a long-standing problem that rears its ugly head whenever petrol prices soar. Prices have been going up since April. Last week, the cost of petrol went up to more than $2 a litre. A former Tiong Bahru pump attendant, who wanted to be known only as Mr Ganesh, 22, said some disgruntled customers even shout at staff when they are forced to return to pay up. He said: "One customer was unhappy because he lived in Pasir Ris. He said he had to 'waste petrol, waste time' to return to our station." The customer owed about $100 in unpaid petrol for his Toyota Camry. Wah lau, got money to buy car, but no money to pay petrol?
  7. as stated i read from somewhere that stamford offers to fill 1 tire at S$10 a one time fee and subsequent fill is free but what are the advantages?
