It was 1980. Posters of the carrier USS Nimitz were everywhere. Lightning flashes around. It was the Final Countdown. I bought tickets and went to watch it. Was at good old Odeon cinema. Then this scene came. The dogfight. F14A Tomcat vs A6M2 Type 0 "Zeke". All I remember was being awed by the scene. Then when the Sidewinder fired and the Zero was splashed. The whole cinema erupted into cheers and applause! Girlfriends and wives will not understand. Thank you Hollywood.

If you are an ex- or current owner, or have driven, seen them. Will crossovers be more popular in SGP driving environment in coming years? Will you buy one for the experience and move to other types eg MPV, sedan, etc after it? Or stay with the type for as long as you could?

Hi guys, jus doing a poll to see which brand is least preferred. then hopefully with the poll results, ppl can converge and ignore the brand with least support. Hope to send out the message that: Since the cartel do not wish to differentiate themselves, we shall differentiate their revenue. Dun we wish for one company to undercut the market to support the consumers? Eg if they sell 4 cents cheaper then the rest, i dun mind giving them higher volume and lower margin. spend our petrol $ for a better cause.

Japan is one of the few countries in the world with TV channels spending a big cut of their broadcasting budget on a wide range of variety shows, providing tons of entertainment even way after midnight. The magic ends for Cinderella when the clock strikes 12, but that is when the magic starts on Japanese TV, with broadcasting companies forsaking their wholesome image and dishing out entertainment for mature audiences, often featuring topics and themes bordering on risqué and pushing the limits of censorship laws. Sexy girls prancing around in skimpy outfits is the least you can expect! Note: Pictures after the jump are most definitely not safe for work, and should definitely be kept out of sight of children! This image has been resized.Click to view original image For starters, the title of the program, Idol no Ana (literally, An Idol’s Hole), is enough to trigger off the WTF sensors in some of us. Though that may sound like the title of some dubious adult video, the program is part of the annual Nittelegenic project run by the Nippon Television Network Corporation to select image girls for the company. That said, it doesn’t make the show any less raunchy than its title suggests. In its fifth run, the program featured gravure idols in a survival pageant that lasted from July through September this year. Instead of just standing around looking cute, the girls were put through several… um, creative tests, and out of the 99 contestants, these six ladies outshone the rest to be crowned as image girls of the year. Quite a few dishes I love till today, all are simple but tasty home-cooked food, and not easy to find nowadays. One of them is a soup cooked inside a winter melon with small pieces of pork etc. Another:- pork legs in sweet black vinegar (still can find it if I search hard)

Nadia Comaneci The first perfect 10.0 on the uneven bars in Montreal 1976. The display buay tahan already. No extra digits so her score became 1.00! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Tl0kE7Oels You can see how tense her competitor from USSR Nellie Kim is. Here again in Montreal 1976 on the balance beam. Here is the floor routine from Montreal 1976 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B6IOpduitQ I'm afraid the video is pretty poor in quality but you can make out the smile as she does the floor routine. More like she is having fun than competing. Her book Letters to a young gymnast is available in the NLB. It is a good read and it does tell you the bleakness in a commie country. Also tells you how came to be under husband and wife coach Karolyis. In the end, both the Karolyis fled Romania to the US. Nadia made her escape in 1989.
