The amount was adjusted over the years to account for inflation, longer life expectancies and Singaporeans' rising expectations of their quality of life post-retirement. From July 1, the Medisave minimum sum (MMS) will also be raised to $38,500 from $36,000, a 7 per cent increase. Members will be able to withdraw their Medisave savings in excess of the amount at, or after, the age of 55. The maximum balance a member may have in his Medisave Account, known as the Medisave contribution ceiling (MCC), is set at $5,000 above the minimum sum, which means it would be increased correspondingly to $43,500, from $41,000 previously. -

Since the beginning when I joined this forum, this forum has been a fantastic platform for all car lovers to post and share their point of views, and even gripe about things that happened in the life. It is a great support network for many people, especially for me, through times in my life when things were not exactly looking up. I have found friends and support which I really valued. But it is time for me to move on and concentrate on building up my family and to strive for even greater heights in my career. So I have made this painful decision to limit my participation in online forums, as it pretty much has become an addiction for me for so long. I want to apologies openly, especially to my dear wife, for all the things I have said, all the gripes I had ever mentioned in forums that directly or indirectly relate to her. These were all spur of the moment outburst during times when we were not quite getting along. There's no sure-fire way to remove them all and undo any damages. The only way forward is to commit myself to mending the relationship, stop hurting her and start honouring her in every way possible. I also want to apologies to all forummers whom I may have rubbed up the wrong way in my postings. Sometimes I get carried too far due to my own bias and prejudices and my words usage may be to harsh and even downright rude or insulting. Please forgive me! So here it is, my farewell to all my fellow bros and sis of the forum. Farewell and I love you all! - Ex Forum Addict -

21st Dec 2005 Wednesday 8pm onwards Pls vote for your location... Alternative location suggestions are welcomed... (Provided there's good parking, good seating, air con, toilets and food and drinks readily available ) Reasons for those that I chose are because of the the good parking and easy seating for the bunch of us ... Bukit Timah Prata No air con, big car park (coupon parking) nearby beside the clinic, lots of food around ... including Macs opposite at Beauty World (Fast food again! ) Cosy Bay Lighthouse, can play pool, have expensive drinks and those who like to ..er... drink and drive... Fort Road end Er... basically... nothing here... Just park at the side... stand around... and bring your own food and drinks... (Yishun Dam style) .... good for those who like to fish .... Jalan Kayu Can't say much about this place as I haven't been there in years... Last I went... terrible parking (I didn't think much of the prata as well) But to be fair to the others (and heard that there's a new car park there now).... Kallang I know many of you are sick of Kallang, but it's the most central to me, good for those staying in the East or West etc... plus free parking! Ridout Mac 24 hours... not very crowded ... can sit in the open and feed mozzies as well... West Coast Mac McCafe... for those interested in kopi that cost more... big car park... air con as well... plus lots of tiong chias to look at.... You attendance is much appreciated 1) LS 2) Relak 3)
