when feng shui books mention the direction that the house is facing, what do they mean? Is the main door used as a gauge to determine which direction the house if facing?

Hi all, I was researching on child seat (from birth), and realised that rear-facing child seats are safer than forward facing ones. My criteria: 1. Rear Facing 2. From birth until as heavy as possible (e.g. 18kg) 3. ISOfix (not LATCH) Based on the above, I found only 1 child seat that fits the criteria (none of the child seats sold in SG fits the criteria): DuoLogic 2 (Graco), also known as KISS 2 (Klippan). More info about rear facing child seats at http://www.carseat.se/ Does anyone have the above child seat? (i found the above website selling it from Sweden, and does ship to SG). Anyone has other recommendations for child seats that fits my criteria?

My fren is facing a big dilemma. He is staying on a landed property near CBD, abt the size of half football field. The property is handed down from his parents who paid it thru their blood, sweat n tears. I estimate it worth S$10-15million??? He said 15yrs ago his neighbour sold theirs at S$9million. His property is a corner lot and the very first unit from the main road. He has no intention to sell but his siblings are bent on selling otherwise there will be a court case. He is in no position to buy over his siblings share as he definately could not come out with that sort of cash!!! He has been the only one staying on the property and taking care of it all these years. Parents already long gone. If it were u, will u sell??? Or fight a long court case???

Okay here goes, I have a honda stream (2007 model). When I'm driving, everything is smooth. Here's the problem, when at idle or stationary, the car's vibration (slight) is still bearable, but when the aircon compressor kicks in, my RPM would drop to about 600-700 and the entire car would rattle. If it's just a once in awhile thing, I wouldn't mind, but the problem with Honda is that the damn compressor kicks in every other minute. Although it has been like that for quite a while, it hasn't caused any problems but as of late, it has become increasingly irritable and uncomfortable to me. Anyone out there has faced the same problem? Any ideas what might go wrong and how do I go about fixing it? Much thanks.

Noticed that the onemotoring website has been revamped to look more metro/modern as per Microsoft style. However, I am very disappointed that the website revamp seems to give more problems, in which after login, it says "loading information" but will remain in this state forever. Same thing when you tried to enquire assets information and etc, etc... Been trying for weeks using different browsers and different OS. All giving the same problem. Anyone encountered same issues? My workaround solution to renew COE is using the shortcut link (without login) in the website and it works. Those transactions that require login will have problems. [bigcry]

Have always been curious. For the ones at BKE, you can see that the lens is facing towards the direction which you are headed, i.e. your speed will be detected just after you pass by the camera. What about those fridge-like speed camera (like at PIE or Yishun). I can't seem to see any clear lens, except for a small black window. Does it detect your speed before or after you pass beside it?

I have a problem. Recently, 1 tweeter no sound don't know it is amp or tweeter. Maybe is some loose wire. Nevertheless, I have some items to let go. Reason: Want to change car and I find it hard to afford time to pursue this interest. Items to sell: 1) 12 " Rockford P2 sealed box 2) Rockford P6002 amp 3) Genesis Profile 4 amp 4) Cube Acoustic Cerafine 2 way component speaker 5) Clarion HXD2 headunit 6) All the cables Any proven faulty product I will not sell - i got to find out what is faulty first. Just give the average offer and the item will have to go. hp:91088893 (ps: I lost Slonez, bob cat, sarong... contact because my phone got lost. If any kind soul and intro me to a shop that can take out everything and replace stock audio stuff - i be eternally grateful)

Source: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin.../342691/1/.html By Ng Baoying, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 21 April 2008 1311 hrs SINGAPORE: The world could be facing its worst recession in 30 years, said Deputy Chairman and Executive Director of the Government of Singapore Investment Corp (GIC) Dr Tony Tan. He shared this view with over 500 GIC staff at a conference on Monday. "The financial contagion has now spread beyond US shores, increasing the likelihood of a global financial crisis and recession. We could be facing a recession which is longer, deeper and wider than any recession that we have encountered in the last 30 years," he said. Dr Tan added that this could be mitigated if timely actions are taken by policymakers around the world, boosting both markets and investor sentiment. If this does not happen within the next three to four months, it will be up to the markets to work out current problems, and this is expected to be a long, painful and drawn-out process. He said: "What is clear is that the financial and investment markets will be extremely nervous and volatile over the next one or two years." While that means GIC's multi-billion-dollar investments in UBS and Citigroup remain shaky in the short term, Dr Tan pointed out that these are long-term investments and they are expected to give good returns when markets stabilise and economic conditions return to normal levels. GIC invested US$10.8 billion in UBS in December last year and US$6.88 billion in Citigroup this January. At the staff conference, GIC also unveiled three new group committees
