Dont take yourself too seriously. Myself included since I watch or listen or read quite a bit of all these. Especially in the day of YouTube and podcasts and forums/reddit/quora. I enjoy reading crowd sourced comments on these topics as much as the videos/article/podcast etc. Nowadays with information overload, gurus/experts are a dime a dozen.

Many MCFers here are experts in your own fields. Just curious. Is there any topic you could talk for at least 30 minutes without preparation? Maybe let me start the ball rolling. I have been trained in the field of semiconductor. Maybe for me it is semiconductor or Agile/Scrum master? I am not exactly an experienced scrum master but due to covid, I have attended quite a number of 2-Day courses so much so that I could now turn off the PC and start talking like them for 30 minutes. The content can be quite repetitive and overlapping. On a side note, if you are able to talk on your topic for at least 30 minutes, you may want to consider starting an online course or create youtube material for that topic!

Health experts are warning that a fatal infectious disease that is spreading across the country among deer, elk and moose may be transmittable to humans. Chronic wasting disease (CWD), which is described as a progressive, fatal disease that affects the brain, spinal cord and other tissues of animals, has been documented in at least 24 states as of January, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. The disease, which can take years for symptoms to appear after infection, is believed to spread through bodily fluids like feces, saliva, blood, or urine, by both direct and indirect contact in the environment. There are no treatments or vaccines. The symptoms, which have been compared to those of zombies, may include drastic weight loss, stumbling, lack of coordination, listlessness, drooling, excessive thirst or urination, drooping ears, lack of fear of people, and aggression. Though there have been no confirmed animal to human transmissions, some health officials, pointing to laboratory tests, say it may be only a matter of time. “It is probable that human cases of CWD associated with the consumption of contaminated meat will be documented in the years ahead,” Michael Osterholm, the director for the University of Minnesota’s Center for Infectious Disease and Research Prevention, told Minnesota lawmakers on Thursday, according to the Twin Cities Pioneer Press. “It is possible that (the) number of human cases will be substantial and will not be isolated events.” Laboratory studies have shown that the CWD’s mutated protein, which is called a prion, is capable of infecting animals that carry human genes like squirrel monkeys, macaques, and lab mice, according to the CDC. my fridge top freezer is working fine but it seems that the bottom fridge is not working fine. in fact, its not cold as before suddenly. can feel cold air blowing out from the vent (3 vent but only 1 got air blowing) but its like no power to blow. any expert can advise what can i do. if i call for repair man, the damage will certainly be more expensive than the fridge and i wanna try saving it before dumping it away. btw, my fridge is GE brand... thankss

I got my condo unit renovated, and i water proof the whole house (unit below me requested). After installing oak plank in the bed room. the oak plank warp! when they remove the solid plan. it found water drop on the surface of the cement floor. That is to say. the moisture unable to escape as it was trap between water proof and timber floor. I even let the cement floor cure 3 weeks before i install! 1.5 weeks after 2nd installation. it start to warp again! :( tis was a pre finish oak floor and need not lacquer again. any expert out there can help? does letting the cement floor cure a longer time then install again will help?... or.... install it. let it warp and sand down to re-lacquer again to solve the problem. ....Since I cant and no way i can remove the water proof under the cement floor.

hi guys, i`ve just came back from my servicing, 20k oil change, on redline 10w-30 engine oil, and i decided to replace the sparkies to those iridium ones, that last longer(100k i heard) but i intend to change it out at 60k. oh ya my engine is stock F20C block . here is the pics, am i running rich or lean, it seems like having some corrosion prob and carbon build up issues. hmm :? how to prevent the build up of carbon? and is there anyway to tune the fueling? the 4 sparkies, notice the rusty area looks like carbon build up to me theres a white spot there, seems like the sparks hit that spot onli looks like rust too, any way to prevent it?

My Reverse camera is color. But it always display B&W since day it was installed one year ago. But on rainy days, or when car is wet.....sometimes the reverse camera display up as color image! Also my car alarm on/off chirp is also wonky. It might sound a weak chirp when the car is wet. On dry days, the chirp is mostly non-sounding. Meaning no audible on/off sound. It was chirping nicely when it was installed one year ago...but along the way..perhaps say 3months...the chirp starts misbehaving. I am not sure it's due to the weak battery or not. But then my 200RMS woofer is still sounding great, so I don't want to believe that it might be the weak battery issue. My lights do no flicker when the Bass is booming away. The problem is made more puzzling, on days I blast the music real loud on way to work/home, after reading the destination. On locking the car, the chirp will sound, but a half fark weak chirp. Really hate to strip the wiring to recheck the camera or car alarm. Anyone has similar experience and can identify the most probable cause of it?

Hi all, Just switched from PC notebook to Macbook Pro yesterday. Wanted to from out from the Mac expert here on whether can I use the notebook like my desktop PC? I bought the DVI converter to hook on to my external monitor. Next I'm getting external keyboard and mouse too. With these equipment in place, can I close my Macbook screen and use the mentioned external equipment? I don't want the Macbook to go into sleep mode each time I close the screen. Hi, I'm taking a course on investment & was given an assignment to compare the return & risk profile of stock & bond based on their histroical data (see attach). I have to make an recommendations (with supporting points & data from the attachment) which investment I should consider keeping, which to sell off base on my time horizon & risk profile (i.e I'm game to take calculated risk & will be happy if I can earn at least 10% pa. Hopefully will have a tidy sum for my children education in 6 years' time. My investment portfolio have an approximate market value of $100,000 split between bonds (80%) & shares (20%)) I have done up the calculation on return & risk for both, but do not know how to make use of the results to make my decision.
