  1. Recently theres a guy who complain a certain airline for not supportive enough to let hia family to sit together on a flight back to sg. And he blame the airline for making him queue and thus got his poor kid's fever to worsen. He seems to like to blame and blame... Anyway just wondering is this a norm of our new generations or perhaps its just me who thinks this guy is full of self entitlement and is just about me and me and me ah
  2. work life balance is good if you can balance it in a fulfilling way. Not the entitlement that you want to leave on the dot, no weekend, good appraisal, high increment, and fair promotion opportunities. some may say the old days were over when people work late and weekend, and the older generation is outdated on what productivity means. Nevertheless, my concern was what has stated, instead of advocating too much on this until your kids seeing it as an entitlement (yah try telling them to do housework and they start giving you the same excuse of what you advocate), rather parents should teach their kids about hard work, perseverance, endurance and tolerant and not take things for granted. Not asking you to clock 60 hours a week with no life (but why not if you are single and work hard for the money!), I understand many will argue that there are still people working hard today, which i agree and it was also mentioned in the article even for someone in the 30s, different background groom different people. So when you have the balance but other is putting double effort, do not blame others who worker harder getting a better chance of promoting (including FW/FT) or things in life and you just sit there and whine THIS IS UNFAIR! (life is unfair that people dun have to work so hard yet get to enjoy but that is not an entitlement, probably luck!) This is just an old man view.
  3. Came across this on another forum and on FB Source: https://www.facebook.com/singaporeair/posts/10153047708683679 So, this cork missed a flight because he was shopping at DFS and expected the entire plane with the rest of the passengers to wait for him. Is there any worse reason he could give? Really? I think SIA would be better off not having a customer like him. =D Thin out the herd a little, and leave the considerate flyers in.

  5. Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices softened at the first tender of 2012 on Thursday, continuing a slide that started in November. COE prices for cars up to 1,600cc ended at $46,889, down from $50,001 two weeks ago. COE for cars above 1,600cc finished at $65,801, down from $70,003. Open category COE, which can be used to register any type of vehicle but ends up mainly for bigger cars, fell from $71,000 to $65,700. The rate for commercial vehicles dipped slightly from $39,589 to $38,699. Motorcycle premiums bucked the trend by rising from $1,481 to close at $1,682. Motor traders said the market has been quiet in past weeks because of the year-end holidays; and because the final sprint to hit 2011 sales targets is now over. http://www.straitstimes.com/Motoring/Story...ory_752160.html
