Dutch car manufacturer - Spyker - will return to Salon Prive with two models featured on both the Concept Lawn and as part of the Audemars Piguet British Super Car Show at Syon House in September. Spyker has recently revealed the production-confirmed B6 Venator, which will feature on the Concept Lawn, with a Spyder (convertible) version also expected to be revealed later in the year. The Spyker B6 Venator Concept is a compact, two-door mid-engine sports car that Spyker claims will offer the discerning driver of the highest standards a new choice, delivering a rare combination of heritage, design, performance and exclusivity. Designed by Victor R. Muller, Chief Executive Officer of Spyker N.V., the Spyker B6 Venator Concept makes a contemporary statement whilst paying homage to its past. Highly detailed design, bespoke materials and aviation-inspired elements are a core part of the Spyker DNA. With the announcement of the Spyker B6 Venator Concept, the company once again proves its Latin axiom: Nulla tenaci invia est via (For the tenacious no road is impassable). The name 'Venator' is Latin as well, meaning 'Hunter' - a nod back to Spyker's Hunter fighter aircraft of the early 20th century. The Spyker B6 Venator Concept will begin production in early 2014 for key markets including Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and India, followed by the U.S.A in autumn 2014. The C8 Aileron, last seen at this year's Geneva Motor Show, will be displayed as part of the Audemars Piguet British Super Car Show, proudly demonstrating why this year's production of the model has already sold out. Salon Prive's David Bagley said, "I'm delighted to have Spyker at Salon Prive once again and showing a stunning lineup on both the Concept Lawn and as part of the Audemars Piguet British Super Car Show. We have a brilliant show coming together this year, the biggest and best ever in fact, and we're very much looking forward to seeing it all come together over the three days in September." The eight Salon Prive will run from Wednesday the 4th of September to Friday the 6th of September at Syon Park, London. Several new product debuts, as well as the Chubb Insurance Concours d'El

Over the years I have seen some new or returning car companies to have a slice of the supercar pie. We have Spyker, Pagani, Bugatti, Corn-in-a-sack (Koenigsegg), GTA Spano and Marussia. In a growing yet, small market where only millionaires, people of Monaco and Oil-Reach Arabians (Among others) can actually own these cars, is it really feasible to open a super car company? Well if you have money as much as Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark and the motivation, why not? Case in point, an upstart called Vencer, from the Netherlands. The Sarthe is the first product from the company, and is named after the French countryside circuit where the 24 Hours of Le Mans is contested. Much like any other supercar the Sarthe has a steel tube frame with a mid-engined V8 covered in carbon fiber bodywork The design looks very much inspired by science and the wind tunnel rather than, art and has resembles the McLaren F1 from certain angles. It seems to have an output of 500bhp and reach 100km/h in 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 323km/h.

We've all pulled off stupid stunts that lead to severe punishment from our parents, but we've never gone this far. The Dutch Daily News reports that a 20 year-old driver has been caught by police going 100 miles per hour. That's hardly news, except the lead-footed youth was driving his parent's Bugatti Veyron at 50 mph over the speed limit and the Dutch police confiscated the vehicle and the driver's license. There is no word whether the family will ever get the Veyron back. We're thinking this young man is likely to receive more than five minutes in time out for his 1.8 million euro "mistake," but then again, it isn't every parent that lets their 20 year-old son drive the family Veyron (assuming he had permission in the first place). It's also important to note that it really doesn't pay to drive too fast in northern Europe outside of select derestricted portions of the Autobahn. Here in the States, reckless driving can carry the same weight as a drunk driving arrest, but chances are your vehicle won't be confiscated.

Haha. Sorry couldn't help it. While we all know Dutch Lady isn't exactly from the Netherlands, we took comfort that she's from Singapore. But who would've known that she's not Singaporean but a PRC?! hehehe. Anyway, in the very unlikely event you haven't read it yet: FIVE more products imported from China have been found to contain melamine, bringing the number of tainted Chinese diary products in Singapore to eight. Two are flavoured milk and three are confectioneries containing milk powder as an ingredient, said the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) in a statement on Wednesday. The affected items are Dutch Lady banana flavoured milk, Dutch Lady honeydew flavoured milk, Silang - House of Steamed Potato - potato cracker, Puffed Rice Rolls - butter corn flavour; and Puffed Rice Rolls - cheese flavour. The other products which were earlier found to be contaminated with melamine are Yi Li Choice Dairy Fruit Bar Yogurt Flavoured Ice Confection, Dutch Lady Strawberry Flavoured Milk and White Rabbit Creamy Candy The chemical, normally found in plastics, has been blamed for killing at least three babies in China and leaving more than 50,000 others with problems like kidney stones. At least 12 countries have banned diary products imported from China. AVA advised the public not to be unduly concerned as it has suspended the import and sale of all milk and milk products from China since Sept 19. 'We would also like to assure the public that the levels of melamine detected in the products are low and hence unlikely to result in adverse health effects,' it said. 'Consumers have to consume large quantities of the contaminated products over a prolonged period of time to have any potential ill effects on health.' AVA said an adult weighing 60 kg or a child weighing 30 kg can ingest 37.8 mg of melamine and 18.9 mg of melamine respectively every day over a lifetime without any appreciable health risk. Since last week, the authority has tested over 100 milk products for melamine, with 50 to 80 more samples being tested each day. AVA will turn its attention to other products where content is a concern, such as cereals, after it has tested all the 400-odd samples of milk and milk products.
