Dead baby discovered in clogged toilet at Malaysia bus terminal https://www.asiaone.com/malaysia/cleaner-discovers-dead-baby-clogged-toilet-malaysia-bus-terminal?xtor=EREC-16-4[Emarsys_Newsletter]-20190925&extid=6934d0cfb7b252f1ae9f0dbddf5ff88ca8637e77 Reported by : LAM MIN LEE The toilet wouldn't flush and overflowed with bloody water. A cleaner startled by the sight sought help from taxi drivers who were taking a break at a bus terminal in Kuantan, Malaysia, on Monday (Sept 23). At first, they thought a sanitary pad had caused the toilet to clog up, but they found an umbilical cord when they took a closer look. After fishing out the cord with a wire, the toilet was still choked. That was when they realised there was a baby inside and immediately called the police, Bernama reported. The police found the body of a premature, fully-formed baby in the toilet, which had been closed for upgrading works since Sept 19. CCTV footage revealed that a woman clad in black had entered the female restroom at 6am that day with a luggage bag in tow. Half an hour later, she was seen exiting the toilet wearing a baju kurung. Kuantan police said they are tracking down the woman who is believed to have abandoned the baby at the bus terminal, and appealed to the public for information on her whereabouts. A post-mortem is being carried out on the infant's remains at Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital. The case has been classified as concealment of birth by secret disposal of a dead body, which carries the penalty of a jail term of up to two years, a fine, or both. According to statistics released by Malaysia's Women, Family and Community Development Ministry last year, over 900 newborn babies were dumped between 2010 and 2018. Commonly left behind in public toilets and garbage areas, only a third of abandoned infants were found alive. [email protected]

The mummified body of a German adventurer has been discovered on his abandoned yacht - which silently drifted around the world for years. Manfred Fritz Bajorat, 59, was found by two fishermen at the weekend off the coast of the Philippines. His body was discovered near the radio telephone on the 40ft yacht called Sayo, as if he was trying one last desperate mayday call. It is not clear how long he had been dead and for how many years his yacht had been drifting, but no reported sightings of him have been mentioned since 2009. Inside the cabin were found photo albums, clothes and tins of food strewn all over the interior. He was floating nearly 40 miles from the coast of the Philippines in the Pacific Ocean when the fishermen spotted the drifting vessel and boarded it. The mast was broken and much of the cabin was underwater, but what killed the skipper is unclear. Dry ocean winds, hot temperatures and the salty air helped preserve his body. He was identified by paperwork found on the vessel. It is unclear how long he has been dead. Police are trying to retrace his last voyages and find the last people to speak with him. He broke up with his wife in 2008, who had been on his travels with him, and she later died from cancer. In 2009 in Mallorca he met another world sailer called Dieter who told Germany's BILD newspaper: "He was a very experienced sailor. I don't believe he would have sailed into a storm. "I believe the mast broke after Manfred was already dead." His body was taken for an autopsy in Butuan City, the yacht was towed for a police inspection into the port of Barobo. Police spokeswoman Goldie Lou Siega in the Philippines said; "We have no evidence of a second person aboard and no weapon was found on the yacht." Dr Mark Benecke, a forensic criminologist in the city of Cologne, told BILD: "The way he is sitting seems to indicate that death was unexpected, perhaps from a heart attack." The German embassy in Manila is working with local officials to trace his family in Germany. It is believed he has a daughter called Nina who works as the captain of a freight vessel. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/ghost-yacht-horror-mummified-body-7462546

SINGAPORE: One of the perimeter walls of a 127-year-old obsolete lunatic asylum has been discovered in the compound of the Singapore General Hospital (SGH), at the side of a hill near Macalister Road. The National Heritage Board (NHB) said on Monday (Nov 17) that it was alerted to the discovery of the New Lunatic Asylum by Mr Charles Goh - co-founder of the Asian Paranormal Investigators - in September. The New Lunatic Asylum was built in 1887 and had 300 beds for 250 male patients and 50 female patients. Singapore's third psychiatric hospital was constructed on cottage principles comprising a series of detached buildings, and offered both accommodation as well as work facilities. The NHB leveraged on Google Glass technology to document the remaining wall of the New Lunatic Asylum. The public can watch the documentary from Tuesday on NHB’s YouTube channel. The NHB said it will be working closely with SGH to assess the condition of the remaining perimeter wall and jointly explore potential preservation and commemorative efforts to showcase the heritage of the site. -TODAY/kk http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/discovered-in-sgh/1477254.html first we discovered old reservoir and now we discovered an old hospital!!

By Melody Zaccheus SINGAPORE - A reservoir the size of three badminton courts dating back to 1905 has been discovered by the National Heritage Board. Located off Telok Blangah Road, and not marked out in maps today, it served as a source of water for the Tanjong Pagar Dock. The reservoir, which is an oasis of calm and a green pocket in the built up area, also used to be a swimming pool during the Japanese Occupation, according to Japanese maps of Singapore. Remnants of a diving board and a bathing area still stand today. The place, known to some as the Keppel Hill Reservoir, made the news when two soldiers and a 17-year-old boy drowned there on two occasions in 1936 and 1948. The 2m deep pool of water, which has a working filtration system today, was discovered by a team of researchers from the board in February. The team spent four months piecing together more details about the site from old maps and news stories. A documentary on the place will be uploaded on its website on Thursday. http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/more-singapore-stories/story/abandoned-reservoir-telok-blangah-road-discovered-201409#3

Yesterday was on ECP towards AYE/Tuas just be fore MBS, suddenly got one black BMW 3 series (S** 5805) with smoke tailights cut in at high speed then swerving left and right changing lanes to overtake other cars (traffic was moderately heavy). It was already past 8pm and lights all not turned on. Continue to drive aggressively in a manner which u'd normally associate with a particular japanese brand (S*****) eg. tailgating car in front and then make sudden overtaking move. I was very pissed off - why need to drive lidat? Then finally the car kana stuck when filtering out to henderson (all de while i m close by despite not driving like a crazy person) so i pass the car as i stay on main expressway towards Tuas. I turn to look at de driver as i passed and WTF! it's a FEMALE driver! And not those fierce looking type of gal also. Just an ordinary looking one! I tink must be de most hiong female driver i ever seen.

Honestly never knew this until today. Was trying to park and adjusted right mirror downwards to see the ground more while parking. So the mirror adjustment knob was switched to the Right mirror position and when I adjusted it down, to my surprise both my Right AND LEFT mirrors both adjusted downwards for parking mode!! I know some cars when you set it to reverse it automatically adjusts down, but never knew that about the Skoda until today!! Even though it is manually done, but that is quite thoughtful. Wanted to share this with fellow Skodians here. I called Jaffa to tell him about this and he told me this is available for most VAG cars if they are not auto adjustment on reverse, it is in the Octavia too.

Hi guys, I found the most honest / best ICE shop ever. Normally, most shop will encourage u 2 think up the budget u intend to set aside and then he will work out what u can buy, etc... But this ICE shop I've found say don't need. He will just do the following to improve your ICE significantly: 1. Check the wiring of yr headunit. Many installers got the wires mixed up, so the effect was not good 2. Tune up the speakers (Stock! Yes I mean stock. They say stock speakers when properly tuned up is even better than purchased speakers). Thru the process, the distorted noise were removed and sound were improved. All these makes no sense unless u hear it yourself. All I can say is I am VERY impressed with the effect of it. The sound was so clear. The bass were tighter, and I don't even have any amplifier or woofer. Now come the cost - I paid $95 only. Very worth the money. This shop was recommended from my collegue who is from Mazda Club. So I must state upfront I had no affliation with this company. For those who are keen, these are the details: Dupoint - Randy 97878815 92 Zion Road #01-191 (There are 2 ICE shop. Its the smaller one) Their skills / knowledge are really superb. U can see what they did in each process. Hearing is convincing. You can tell them Alvin, driving a Black Tuscani recommend u. Thanks.

And the radiator cap has expanded, he said that to find oil at the cap is not normal. Can anyone advise what is the cause of the oil and is it serious ? Thanks Laser
