Need an approximately 30 sqft space to store some personal items for a long period (2-3 years). Sought out quotations from the big names like BigOrange, ExtraStorage, etc but the prices are way ex. Thought there could be something cheaper in the industrial areas that I do not know about. Any recommendations?

Hi guys, my car is silver color. I was lazy and didn't wash for a few months. Now some areas can see dirt streaks caused by rain, and they don't come off when washing. I tried clay bar also cannot. Should I buy polishing product and try to polish myself by hand to remove the streaks or do I need to send to professionals who can use the machine?

My car has a deep scratch mark on the bonnet for almost a year. Recently, the unsightly mark seemed to become more obvious as it darkens in color and makes a stark difference against the white paintwork. I believed it is due to dirt accumulating in the cavity, just like how food remains get trapped in our tooth cavity. Since it was Christmas day and I was idling at home, I decide to do a little experiment with a bottle of liquid clay bar that I bought some time ago. The liquid clay bar is supposed to be a deep cleanser that removes embedded dirt. It has a 3 layer system that contains a stain remover, wash and special clay compound according to the label on the bottle. After giving the content in the bottle a good shake, I poured a small amount of the mixture onto the sponge and gently rubbed over the scratch mark. To my pleasant surprise, the scratch mark lightens up in shade. I proceed to wash away the mixture on the paintwork with clean water. After drying up the surface with a cloth, I applied a layer of wax to protect the surface as the clay compound will strip the any sealant that was applied before. Below is the outcome after a 10 minutes

Dear detailers, After I wash and wax the car and drive back home (no MSCP in my area), it attracts a layer of dirt almost immediately. Should I wash the car and wax it at night instead?

It looks like the wet weather is here again. Usually, at the time of writing this blog, I would be running at East Coast Park but my plan has to be shelved due to the light drizzle. Coming back to the topic of automobile, it is frustrating to be caught in the rain while driving, especially after a thorough car wash. Personally, I prefer to be caught in a heavy downpour rather than a light drizzle, provided that I am not caught in a flood. Below is the reason why. The rain water itself will not make the car very dirty. The splashes from the road are the main culprit. This is the reason why the upper part of the body panels are cleaner than the lower portion after the car is caught in the rain. In a light drizzle, the road grimes do not get washed away, unlike a heavy downpour. Hence, the splashes from the road contain relatively more dirt and debris. In the same school of thoughts, a heavy downpour clears up the road grimes. I

Although the track is still not ready for racing, Red Bull has already started to study the America's track in Austin, future venue of the United States Grand Prix. David Coulthard was the test driver, check it out: http://www.autoviva.com/member.php?id=1035...mp;post_id=2549

Hi bros, I wash my car almost every week, some times with car shampoo, others just with plain water. Over the years, the wipers seem to cause dirt to accumulate on the windscreen. Lines of stubborn dirt can be found on the windscreen where the wipers are resting during inactivity and at the extreme position where the wipers would be able to turn to (see the green lines on the picture). Any ideas to clean away the dirt? Use mama lemon? Real lemon fruit juice? thinner? vinegar? lighter fluid?

hi all, my ride has been ard for 3 years and headlamp covers are getting quite dirty with all the grime and dirt sticking onto the surface, causing the light cast to be scattered. 1 of the mechanics i went to suggest scrubbing/polishing the headlamps for $20 to make it clean. Is there other way i can DIY or do it cheaper? tks!

Hello, My ride is yellow. Its tougher to wash it than my previous ride (a dark grey) because the road dirt (black dots) are more obvious. Using claybar takes a while to remove them. I had to keep rubbing with the clay until they disappear. So imagine I spent most of the time claying. Is there a faster way to do it? I think too much claying may hurt the paintwork. Thoughts pls.

hi, I'd like to know what happens to the dirt or particles that get past the air filter into the Throttle Body - provided the filter is not great, where does it end up? Does it end up in a sump? can we clean it out from somewhere? Or does it go into the engine to mix in with the engine oil? If it goes into the engine, does it drain out from the when you change the oil? Or is this dirt/ particles combusted and then out the exhaust - if leftover, what parts does the dirt most likely damage? Is it the Pistons or spark plugs? I honestly don't know.
