Testament to how advanced safety systems in modern cars are and you really do get what you pay for. For a 300km/h crash, the car held up pretty well. Hope everyone recovers: http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=679088 This 2012 M5 was traveling at a top speed (approximately 186mph/300kmh) when the driver lost control of the car as he braked and swerved to avoid a car. As the driver of the M5 swerved to avoid a car which joined the highway aggressively (without noticing the oncoming BMW), the M5 struck the divider, bounced off and shot across the highway, where it flipped several times on the grass at the side of the A81. The 60 year old driver, 20 year old passenger, and a dog were all seriously injured, but are alive. Judging by the severity of the damage to the car, it's a testament to the M5's safety technology that no one was instantly killed. The car which cut off the M5 did not stop and fled the scene of the accident. The M6 and M3 on the scene belong to the M5 owner's sons, who were traveling with the M5 at the time of the accident. One of the sons, seeing smoke coming from the M5's engine after the crash, was able to prevent any more danger by using an extinguisher on the engine. It's easy to forget sometimes just how much power our BMWs have and while they are some of the safest cars in the world, we are all still human, capable of suffering injuries and making driving mistakes (or simply suffering bad luck). So please be safe out there!

http://jalopnik.com/5364443/mclaren-slr-cr...t-race/gallery/ Quote: A moron in a Mercedes McLaren SLR and a moron in a Ferrari were allegedly racing mid-day in Poland when the moron in the SLR crashed, destroying four surrounding cars and, miraculously, killing no one. It's a Crash Week miracle! The crash happened Sunday when the two morons organized a race on public streets and the SLR driver just couldn't hack it. The car crashed in spectacular fashion, sending four individuals to the hospital after destroying as many as four other cars. The driver of the Ferrari fled the scene but eventually turned himself in. To make things even more stupid, it seems the McLaren driver had a kid in the car, but our Polish is rusty and software translation hasn't quite mastered the subtleties of the Polish language. In any case, this is a big box of stupid wrapped up in stupid paper and tied together with a stupid bow. (Hat tip to Lukasz!) [TVN (translated)] *Gallery in link*

Hi guys, this is my second contribution. I dont know who is more reckless in this video , the guy parking the beautiful black porsche to be destroyed (look where it was parked!!!) , or the bus who at the end caused the accident. http://www.megavideo.com/?v=TPBTRFMR I think that even if the porsche wouldnt have been parked there , the accident would have ocurred , what do you think? Regards,

Clean Your MAF My MAF was full of Oily gunk contributed by some OIL FILTER..... Extracted this how to and DIY ...now much better.... The Mass Air Flow sensor is a very delicate sensor. It uses two wires to measure the amount of air flowing into the engine. The two wires are heated (by electricity) and the more electricity used to heat them tells the ECU how much air is flowing past them. Between very fine dirt and the trend towards oiled filters it's very important to clean the MAF. Cleaning the MAF has so many benefits it's unreal. Between reducing pinging, increasing mileage, and preventing it from burning out (saving yourself $$$) there's no reason to not clean the MAF sensor once every 6 months. Also clean it shortly after installing or reinstalling an oil filed air filter. You don't need many tools. As a matter of fact, a screwdriver and the pictured stuff is all you'll need (attached) You'll need a flat head screwdriver. Those are Safety Torx or Tamper Proof Torx bits. You can buy a whole set like I did or just get size T-20. Now, it's time for an important note. You see that big red aerosol can? It's ELECTRICAL CONTACT CLEANER. This is the only thing you should use to clean your MAF. Only ELECTRICAL CONTACT CLEANER. No windex, no carb cleaner, no brake cleaner, no rubbing alcohol, and no Q-Tips. Step 1: Open the hood and locate your air box. If you can't find it...please stop right now and have a friend clean your MAF for you. Step 2: Open the airbox and move the assembly up to give you room to work. Step 3: Locate the plug on the bottom and move the grommet down to give you room. See picture. Step 4: Take the flathead screwdriver and pop the four tabs holding the assembly in. Step 5: Reach in and disconnect the wiring harness from the MAF. Don't rip the wires or anything! Step 6: Remove the assembly. Locate the MAF and remove the two screws holding it in. Step 7: Spray the living daylights out of the wires. Do NOT touch them. ABOSOLUTELY DO NOT TOUCH THEM. Those wires are very small and delicate. If you break one of them....it's a $150 mistake. Step 8: The installation is the reversal. Do this once every 6 months and your MAF will continue to be clean and your performance won't suffer
