https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/health/moh-suspends-10-clinics-from-chas-scheme MOH suspends 10 clinics from Chas scheme for severe non-compliance; case referred to police PUBLISHED OCT 8, 2018 SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Health (MOH) has suspended 10 clinics from the Community Health Assist Scheme (Chas) for severe non-compliance. The suspension will take place from Oct 23, the MOH said in a statement on Monday (Oct 8). The clinics, which are all under the Access Medical group, had made numerous non-compliant Chas claims such as claims for patient visits or chronic conditions with no relevant supporting documentation. These were revealed following audits by the MOH on the Chas claims. The MOH added that the case has been referred to the police, and the ministry will be referring specific doctors involved to the Singapore Medical Council for further investigation. "MOH takes a serious view of errant practices in making Chas claims," said the statement.

I have to admit that i have got a slight phobia of going to the dentist. But i do need to go now. I think i got receding gum Can anyone recommend me a good dentist? Someone who is gentle. Is Raffles Medical dentist any good?

Would you avoid visiting the Dentist during this COVID-19 pandemic? After all there is the possible risk of aerosol transmission between consecutive patients at the dental clinics, unless we are talking negative pressure dental rooms with strict infection control protocols. Wondering how is the general public viewing the importance of non-essential dental treatment during this pandemic. https://mothership.sg/2020/04/covid-dental-care/

My boy had a dental checkup for his crooked teeth today at national Dental. Recommendation is to put on braces and some tooth extraction prior to the braces. Even on waiting list, the cost would be $3800, or private with early appointment would be $4800. Any good dentists, preferable along the NE Line, to recommend. Would be good if they offer student price.

Dentist son needs to pay back mother for school and upbringing fees. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/asiapacific/taiwan-court-orders-dentist-to-pay-mother-for-raising-him-9828752#cxrecs_s What a highly dysfunctional family. The mother can't trust her own parenting skill for her children to have some modicum of fillial piety and support her in old age. Need to have them sign contract when they are so young. This woman sounds highly toxic. she may have gotten her compensation. But she'll spend the last years of her life alone. worth it meh

Anyone knows whether the dentist replace the 'bend' tube that hook at the corner of our lips every time they treat the next patient? If not we may be subject to whatever infection the previous patient may have.

Hi All, Just came back from National Dental Centre as i was having pain from my lower wisdon tooth. Apparently, my wisdom tooth is growing side ways thus causing me pain. Was told by NDC that i need to go for surgery and since only 10% of the tooth is protruding out of my gums, the surgery will cost about $2000 to $3000............ Can anybody recommend me a cheaper dentist that can perform this wisdon tooth extraction? Thanks

Home > Breaking News > Courts and Crime > Story Sep 16, 2008 Woman pulls out maid's teeth She was jailed 26 months. By Elena Chong, Courts Correspondent . A TEENAGE mother who forcibly pulled two teeth out from an Indonesian maid's gums was jailed a total of 26 months on Tuesday. Nur Rizan Mohd Sazali, 18, admitted forcibly extracting Ms Badingah's teeth and pouring hot wax on her head between June 2 and July 26 last year. Her brother, Muhammad Iz'aan Mohd Sazali, 20, was given six weeks for using a cane to hit the back of the victim's legs. The two siblings and their mother, Maselly Abdul Aziz, 38, were living at the Jalan Minyak flat with Maselly's friend, Elsa Elyana Said, 24, the maid's employer. Maselly, who initially pleaded guilty to two maid abuse charges and a Ministry of Manpower summons charge, had her plea rejected by District Judge Jill Tan. She had flipped-flopped after the statement of facts was read by the prosecution. She claimed the facts did not tell the whole story. Elsa, who is self-employed, will be sentenced next month for punching the maid and abetting Nur Rizan to forcibly extract the victim's teeth. Deputy Public Prosecutor Natalie Morris said the family and Elsa began abusing Ms Badingah after suspecting her of stealing money and other small valuables. The maid denied stealing but none of the accused persons believed her. The court heard that the victim was punished and was ordered to stand facing the door the whole night, lift her leg up and hold her ears. When she put her leg down, she was caned by Iz'aan. Rizan also tied the wrists of the victim with a bathrobe sash and poured boiling wax on her head and back after she and her brother accused her of stealing their cellphones. The prosecution urged the court to impose deterrent sentences for the severe abuses inflicted on the victim on many separate occasions. 'The victim was subject to systematic cruelty, to a campaign of, not only abuse, but cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment and punishment, amounting to torture,' said DPP Morris. http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNew...ory_279170.html I think they must b mistaken.. she is practising to be a dentist. Must b her lifelong ambition. They sud send her for proper training on u know.... not jail her.
