  3. Went shopping for a new fridge and chanced upon a particular model which fit our size and capacity. The salesman offered us a further 100 dollars off if we take the display set as they are clearing up the space. we took a good look and the fridge and it was rather flawless, Paid full amount on the spot and agreed on delivery date. On the day of delivery, we discovered a obvious dent on the door and i called up the sales and complained. He offered to take back the fridge and offered us another brand new set from agent warehouse but with top up. Alternatively i may also go back down to their store for full refund which i find it absurd as it causes inconvenience to me. megadiscount store, this is probably i last time i would step into your store. btw, is not about money. But the principle in the sales agreement and the obvious inconvenience of having no fridge for few days due to their error.

  8. Hi All My less-than-2-week-old Honda Accord (CP1) today got dented by children cycling around in the estate. A chronology of events follows: a) 6:00pm : Took my dog down for his walk, went by the car and saw the licence plate scratched. Further investigation showed a dent on the area above the driver-side headlights. b) 6:05pm : Saw some children cycling, and when one kid rode by, he looked at the car. The rest of the kids (totalling 4 of them) rode past at high speed. My suspicions were raised immediately, and quickly brought my dog back upstairs. c) 6:08pm : Went down with wife to investigate - swearing that whoever did this, would die a terrible death. Went back upstairs to call my SE, who advised that since it was a brand new car, it should go back to Kah Motor to get a proper paint job. d) 6:10pm : Saw some kids still riding around. Quickly went down with my wife to the carpark. e) 6:12pm : When one of the kids rode by, I stepped in front of him and asked him "Which one of you punks crashed into my car?" To which this kid quickly turned around and pointed to his friend and said "Him". I called him over and hung on to his bike. He said he only fell down, and that his bike was not high enough to hit the car. I asked him for this address, home number and parents' contacts. To be sure he was telling the truth, I held his bike and told my wife to go upstairs to get a pen and paper. We recorded his particulars. Unfortunately, she did not have a mobile so I told her "Hold him ransom until I come back". f) 6:20pm : I quickly went upstairs to get my mobile, came down and called his mother. His mother and father appeared shortly after. Mother was apologetic, but father was an ass. I told the father tomorrow I will take the car back to KM. Father said this is only body work, no need to go back to Honda. I insisted. He said you can go ahead with your attitude and they may not want to pay. ------------------------------------ What I feel is that the car is still brand new - hence it should go back to Kah Motors. If the parents do not want to pay, what is my next course of action? Small Claims Tribunal? Die-die, the car IS going back to Kah Motors - as I am sure many of us here would send a new car back to the agents, right? I am still fuming mad - and at the same time cursing that family.
  9. This is the first time that I'm starting a new post and very unfortunately, it has to be in this section... sigh... and it's bit long too... do bear with it.. I was at Old Airport Road Food Centre. I parked my car on the right of a handicapped lot. I positioned my car such that it was at the left edge, i.e. car is just inches away from the handicapped lot, leaveing lots of room on my right. The lot on the right is empty at that point in time. As i was tearing my coupon, a silver Honda Stream (SGU6xxxZ) drove head in into the empty lot on my right. It was right on the line when i turn my head to check. The driver, which is an old lady probably in her fifties, then reversed and shifted her car such that it is centred in her lot. I opened my door, stepped out of my car and as I was about to leave, she spoked to me thru her opened window.. Old Lady: Don't worry lah, I won't scratched your car one! Me: (smiling)I'm just look at the amount of space i have to open my door. (Mine's a three door hatch, so the door is long and need more space to open) Old Lady: Oh... but you are a very good parker, you left so much space on this side! Me: (smiling) it's ok, i always do that to give other more space so that it's easier to park. Then I smiled at her again and walked off. As I walked away, I could hear her slamming her door. And there is an old man sitting inside the car, about her age if not slightly older. I turned back and saw that her face wasn't that pleasant at all. I went to order my food and felt that something just wasn't right, so i went back to my car. There were no scratches then and the old man was still sitting in the car. I note down her car license plate number just in case something were to happen. I finished my meal about 20 minutes later. Her car was gone and another car was in it's place. That Old lady left a 15 cm dent on my door. That part of my door is curved (convex), so she must have used quite a bit of force to cause a dent that long. I just couldn't believe it that an old lady, probably with substantial education as she speaks proper English, can do such a mean thing. It's not that i have done anything wrong to her, but she can do such an act. Finally, I have her license plate no, any bros here can tell me how i can trace her address? I just want to show her that she can't just intentionally dent someone's car and then just drive away. I'm not seeking compensation from her as I know that she will definitely deny it, but i just want to show here that i can track her down so that in the future, she will think twice about denting other cars, ever again. Any bros here can help? Thanks in advance.
  10. where to repair? roughly how much, i got a slight dent...
  11. I know scratches, dents and paint chips are part and parcel of owning a car. But am wondering what are the general threshold most people have after collecting their new car. I am not talking about getting into an accident where of course the damages will be much greater. I am talking about just a slight flaw (like less than 5cm kinda of thing)
  12. I just dented my 1 day old 2pcs forge rim yesterday . Any one can intro whre can i repair it? my rim dented part is machine finished. I wonder after repair the machine finshed will still be the same in looks?
  13. After running over a big pothole in JB, the inner side of rims (Enkei dunno what model) front and back (driver side) dented badly. Is is possible to repair? But don't want to compromise safety. Can recommend light weight (FC is a major concern) 14" rim 4X100 PCD. Try to search for previous post but mostly for > 15" rims. Current tyres are 185/65/14 BS G3. Intend to transfer the tyres. Anyway budget for each rim $150++. Any suggestion.
  14. Early In the morning while travelling on PIE exiting to Clementi Ave 6 (abt 60km/h), I felt 2 huge bump rocking the car violently. I slowed the car down and parked it at the side of the road. I walked out and checked my car and found that my 2 left wheels are dented!!! Oh my god I thought. (Coz I only bought this set of rims 4 months ago from Stamford!!!) I walked back abt 200m and did not see anything. I really dont know what I hit. It was dark and I was in the rush to get to work. (The day b4 my boss was tell us abt punctunality) I continued my journey to work and my car was vibrating like hell. I felt as if I was sitting on a big vibrator!!! I reached my work place and took a few pics. And decided to bring my car down to Stamford and ask for advice after work. At Stamford, they recommend me a tyre shop where they will hit back my dented rims. At that shop, I let the mechanic see my car and he agreed to heat it up and hit it back to position. He found a hairline crack on my front left wheel inside. I asked him to hit it back to position. After 3hrs, he finished the job and I thought that was the end of my troubles. But after I left the shop on my way home, I felt the vibration again and now I know that the other 2 right wheels also definately also dented. After a sleepless night, I decided to change all 4 rims for my safety. Repair rims = S$180 2nd hand rims = S$280 Total Cost = S$460 What an expensive adventure!!!!
